PMDG 777

    Hi Everyone! I Have a question ! what happen to the avigation system if the Adiru is in off position during the flight? As today i was flying from VHHH to VSTP and before landin i checked if all system were on and set and i noticed the ADIRU was in off position but the plane flew the route normally. Is this normal? Thanks

    Talk about prompt........ I recently added to Rich Sennett's post about turning off the FO displays. However, there was a side-effect - turning off the FO's displays also inadvertently turned off the FO CDU & the back-up CDU on the radio stack. I needed at least one of the CDU back-ups for Doors, Ground, etc. Lo & behold, after updating the Ops Center last night (Sydney time), just this morning I took a flight and both FO and back-up CDU's were operational again (and FO displays off). Good show PMDG! I'm chuffed!

    Hi everyone, this question isn't a glitch per se but mostly me trying to get some tips for approach. My problem: On approach I want to deploy flaps - so I use the force speed or whatever that's called and deploy them. But then my speed doesn't decrease without me using the speedbrakes, which seems entirely unrealistic as most approaches don't require them at all, from my personal experiences at the minimum. I was wondering how people set up when they deploy their flaps and also how they keep their speed relatively low enough. I want to try to avoid the use of speedbrakes on descent whenever possible!     Hey guys, Firstly I apologize if this has been mentioned already but my search of this didn't turn any result. I noticed that while flying during the day that the green back lighting in the VC is nowhere near as powerful as it was on the NGX. This made the flight look rather dark as I flew mostly against the sun. Am I missing something or is this really as much as it goes during daylight?

    Just found this app while browsing the market https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dauntless.aircards It has flash cards for a bunch of different planes but including the 777. Its $34 for only the 777 cards or $99 for all the planes (over 40) Including 737NG, A320,DC10 and 744. Just thought I'd thow this out there in case anyone wanted flash cards to review systems.

    If I activate the the groundequipment like powerunit and startupunit etc these units will be placed in front of the foward exit :door 11.So if I use AES groundhandling this will mean the paxstair will use the same spot as the groundunits of the B777. I could not find anything on this subject and I dont think I am the only one with this problem... Can somebody give me a solution on this? johnfol

    Hello, i will flying with the 777 at the Polarregion- coming from EXITA then NPOLE and going to JESRU. the Plansite on the ND shows me a very unclear Track at the Waypoint NPOLE. If a scenery has landclass files (these define new shorelines, water bodies, etc..), and the corresponding scenery folder has a texture folder, it causes the landclass to leak memory. For reasons known only to ACES, the texture folder is accessed for no apparent reason (landclass can't have textures), and the resources allocated to do this are never freed, leaking memory. The memory leak itself is very small (a few hundred bytes) but it is the frequency and duration of these accesses that lead up to OOME/CTD when approaching an affected scenery area (FS attempts to access the texture folder in…

  15. I was wondering if PMDG plans on putting the manuals on their site to be downloaded in PDF format without having to buy the plane. I've been drooling over this bird for several weeks, but 90 dollars is a lot to spend. I am wanting to know how much studying I would have to do.     Has anyone else noticed that the autothrottle servos will limit the thrust to whatever is set on the FMC THRUST LIM page even with the Autothrottle Arm switches turned off? Is this expected behavior? As I understand it, turning off those switches is supposed to cut power to the autothrottle servos and advancing the throttles to their maximum position is supposed to give redline engine thrust.

    Has there been any thought given to additional 2D pop up panels in future service packs? I'm thinking maybe the overhead and the throttle area? The current ones are just fine, but those two areas are used frequently and having to go through 2 or 3 other areas to get to them is a bit of a pain. Not earthshaking, just a little inconvenient.     Hope all are doing there best to enjoy their new PMDG T7 experience. However,... It's impossible to notice on this forum that the majority of post are due to problems that ones are having with there new and cherished PMDG T7. Is this ONLY due to the fact that it is new to our SIM pilots? or that there is a "teething period" for PMDG? I would be interested in your constructive comments. As always. Best regards.

    Hi, I cannot see the RAAS warning indications on the ND (e.g. "SHORT RUNWAY" or "ON TAXIWAY") although I am able to hear the corresponding aural warning. Does anyone experience the same problem? I already contacted Bryan York from FS2Crew but unfortunatly he was not able to provide a solution. Thanks in advance

    Since getting the B777 VNAV has performed faultlessly at the top of descent, but now it wont allow the aircraft to descend, despite resetting the MCP altitude and the Vertical Path Indicator appearing on the ND. VNAV ALT remains on the PFD and doesn't change to VPATH. So the only way to descend is by using FLCH or V/S and then reverting to VNAV when I am on the correct descent profile. I haven't changed any settings in the aircraft or FSX so I'm at a loss to know just what is going on. Perhaps someone may have a few ideas?     Something i would like on the ND display in the NGX and T7,is to keep the heading indicator always vissible. Now it dissapears after a few seconds. There is no option for that in the fmc menu, is there another way to do this? TvD
