There's another thread here about this issue but I'm posting here in case others have noticed this issue. Best solution or not I found that by installing 'Landing Lights' thru REX Essentials Plus illumination is fully restored. Previously like some others here there were virtually NO landing lights visible thru the front screen in VC mode, but easy to see them in any exterior mode. I don't know if I've overwritten the default lights by doing this, but I now it looks about as one would expect it to. If there's a better solution, I guess meaning restoring the lights that came w/ the T7 AND having them illuminate the ground as well please let us know. Cheers!

Just wondering if the 777 has any cockpit window shades like those in the PMDG 747? I have looked but can't find them if they are there.

In the FMC, go to the VNAV section, you can enter the transition level of the airport you are currently at. Go next page to descent, then hit forecast, you can enter the transition level of your destination.

I use vroute premium to calculate fuel. I have entered my payload information into the FMC as follows: FIRST CLASS 13/14 BUSINESS CLASS 43/48 ECONOMY CLASS 154/172 FWD/AFT CARGO 37570/22620 BULK CARGO 4660 How do I find out the payload weight, so that I can enter this into vroute premium to calculate my trip fuel? Also, is there a feature on the PMDG 777 that will automatically calculate fuel needed (taking extra fuel into consideration, alternate airport etc...) based on my route and payload information? Many Thanks

Hello guys! I just want to know is there any in-range checklist in the pmdg 777 ECL system because I didn't find in the normal menu. I saw this checklist in the justplanes air canada 777 polar video. Or maybe this is an airline specific option what boeing offers to the customers. Sorry for my english! Best regards Norbert.

Ok, So after all the tweaking and help I could get online I have managed to get about 15fps average in well populated areas (KMIA, KATL, etc) so I have decided to upgrade my system a bit to enjoy my T7 better!. This is what I have: -AMD Phenom II X6 3.2mhz (not overclocked) -GTX 260 GPU -8 Gigs of RAM I was thinking on buying either this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8511632&Sku=M69-0920 and add a total of 16g of ram or maybe something else you guys can suggest? I originally thought of a new video card but I think my low FPS is due to lack of processing power?

Hi All, I'm doing an ETOPS flight from RKSI to KLAX (Asiaana 204). During preflight I followed the information I got from Simbrief and after entering the fuel data the FMC said insufficient fuel. I pressed the long button which eliminated that. I just get the feeling the fuel info from Simbrief I got wasn't right. Block fuel was 162.9 I believe that's in thousands of pounds. I chose 200 passengers. The only thing I didn't change was cargo and that's where I possibly made my mistake. The other thing was the route I was given had lat. and long. waypoints, which I admit I haven't programed into an FMC before (example 40N160E). And before anybody starts yelling at me to r…

After having installed FSX Gold, mainly to be able to fly this great add-on, I used the usual recomended tweaks, and everything is perfect and smooth. The FPS are locked ( in FSX ) at 30, the V-Sync set through Nvidia Inspector, but today I decided to disable V-Sync, and set the FPS to Unlimited. Went flying, first the A2A C172, then the PMDG 777, using RWW injected,, which is rainy and windy at all levels around the Iberian Peninsula. With from 24 to 100+ FPS I was really happy and had, apparently, no problems. Then, during one of the legs, wind winds at FL370 around 90 knot from 3 o'clock, I experienced, for the very first time in my PMDG user life, S-turns.…

Hello, I want to share my experience with my flight last night on T7 last night. I flew from Atlanta, GA to Lima, Peru on delta livery and I tell you my flight was outstanding and the T7 is very very awesome, well made airplane ever!! I got the flight route from flightaware and entered it in my FMC. All ready to go and in flight I monitored everything went well. I hit some turbulence over the Caribbean and saw some towering thunderstorms (I used active sky 2012) and the wings were shaking like wow this is so real! Approaching Lima, the visibility was 6 miles and 1,200 feet of overcast clouds so I decided to use the autoland. It brought my plane down to the runway accura…

Issue one: Hour and a half flight near end then BAMM FSX locks up and shuts down. Has happened before. I've installed per instructions, adjusted FSX.CFG as intro suggests. I am using a I5 OC @ 4.2 GIG with 8G Mem running WIN7/64. Only possible addon baggage is Ultimate Traffic and Megascenery (I disable states I am not slated to fly over). Am I missing something? I've learned not to use popups other than the FMS to preserve framerates. Issue two: I am considering EZDOK. Are there issues using EZDOK with PMDG? Is there framerate baggage? I'm a casual user since the day job is running a real life sim and occasionally flying a Lear 45 on a contract basis. …

Obviously you don't allow the manuals to be modified in any way for the T7, although it was possible for the NGX. But you don't even have bookmarks in there - for documents with over a thousand pages. That means if I want to jump from one procedure to another e.g., I have to memorize the page-number!! That is quite frankly a real pain in the a....Your name is "Precision manuals..." I hope you will fix this asap. Otherwise the aircraft is of course exceptional but for this price, I expect such details to also be right. Best regards Adrian

As the title of this topic says, is this a PMDG 777-related file? If so, how do I fix this? All I did today was install an ACARS program for FedEx VA called "VAFS5".

Amazingly I have found that the texture of PMDG777 is not so compatible with FSX‘s own anti-aliasing... Even though I have my anti-aliasing checked, the repaint is sort of jaggy... and meanwhile my other aircrafts are still in good shape, even PMDG737, whose method of installing repaints is just the same as PMDG777, has no such problem. Now I have to turn on my video card's own anti-aliasing feature or use something like SweetFX to keep it smooth... Am I the only one who has encountered this problem? Ken

I have noticed something quite inexplicable on the night textures of the Virgin Australia 777 ... this will not be noticed in many aircraft at all, as mostly they have textures which are mirror images of each other on the vertical stabiliser. However, Virgin Australia do not - and because the textures are high-contrast, it is quite clear that there is some "bleed-through" of texture information from the left side of the stabiliser to the right. Has anyone else noticed this? Have you seen it on any other livery? PMDG staff do you have a fix? Or can you list it for a fix in the SP1? I have checked the texture files and cannot find any reason this should be…

I'm not moving too fast on learning how to start from cold & dark and I'd like to practice other elements of flying the T7. When I first installed (my default FSX was the QW757--before you remind me that isn't the suggested approach) the T7 all was well. Engines running--ready for taxiing. Unfortunately I overwrote the panel state. I went back to read the introduction where it is mentioned it is best to have an MS default plane as the plane in the default flight. So I've done this now, but in the FMC the default startup default panel as setup in the FMC is overriding anything that is coming from have the MS plane be the default flight. Does anyone have a way fo…

Hi all, I seem to remember the 747 and MD11 came with working sun blinds on the cockpit side windows. I looked at my 777 the other day and sure enough the blind is there folded away and so are the hooks to clip said blind to when it's across the window, but moving the mouse round doesn't seem to find any click spot to open/close the blinds. So are there in fact any working blinds on the 777 and I havn't found out how to work them yet, or have PMDG given up with working blinds on this aircraft? Please don't read this as a criticism, I don't mind one way or the other but I'm just curious.

hello, not sure if this belongs here but i have odd problem not sure what to do with, but seems to be more exaggerated on t7 especially flying long distances, it appears my viewpoint moves either to right or left. and resetting eye view does nothing. so very odd. here is the scenario, i take off from OMDB and fly to CYUL, about halfway through flight i noticed something odd that my eyepoint has moved towards front slightly and left. I heard its related to DHM of FSX, so i checked all my settings and all show DHM disabled in camera setup's etc. any idea whats going on. Thanks Andrei.

I am unable to close the Fwd/Aft Cargo Doors on the 777. If I go via the FMC to close them and select close it does nothing. Any ideas?
