PMDG 777

    This has happened several times most recently today on flight from KDTW to KAUS. At 35000 feet and just purring along out of nowhere the aircraft starts a gradual climb to over 1000 feet above the selected altitude then starts a gradual descent to try and acquire the selected once again. It never quite gets back to 35000 then starts another gentle climb, after several of these oscilations while the aircraft was still climbing I selected flight level change and the aircraft returned obediently to 35000. When this all happened I still had 35000 set in the altitude window of the MCP and the FMA indicated VNAV Path, any ideas?

    It's easy to see how to set TA for departure area; however I don't see a place to set the FMC TA for the destination (as with the MD11). Is it even possible to do this with the T7 FMC? Is this even necessary? Thanks, Ken Boardman

    Greetings all, I was trying to do a flight, but was having problems starting the APU. I started from the "short" state (actually, it was a modified short state....I changed a few things for my tastes. Among those changes was to start with the GPUs connected, and the APU off.). This change shouldn't have affected anything, I would hope. However, I cannot start the APU, even after waiting for a while. Here are some screen shots....Any ideas what happened, or is this part of the APU bug that is already known? Many thanks.

    I was happily flying along when I got an altitude warning from the atc, and went to see my altitude indicator, and saw nothing amiss, though it did seem like it had frozen, I then noticed autopilot disconnect, I tried reconnecting it,but my aircraft only went faster up, then, dropped like a rock when I tried to correct the issue. So what happened? I've noticed a pilot response thing once in awhile. Could I have accidentally hit the autopilot button or is this something that happens when you don't put in a response of some kind?

    From what I understand, the green speed bugs display the maneuvering speed for the indicated flap position. And maneuvering speed is the maximum speed at which the aircraft will stall with full control deflection before structural failure occurs, in theory at least. And it seems standard SOP on approach to select the the next flap setting at the current flap setting bug. For instance, when you hit the green 1, you select 5, so on and so forth. My question is, if the bugs show maneuvering speed, why would you select the flap when you are above that speed? Adam

  12. Hello everyone How does one enter an accurate elevator trim setting in the T7. In the NGX you get a display on the trim wheel that shows the trim setting, I have not been able to find same on the T7. Advice appreciated. Regards

    When flying the PMDG T7, in flight it appears to becomes unstable and begins shaking/rocking/bouncing at high altitudes. Most recent example is followed steps in tutorial 1 exactly. Upon departure and reaching about FL 280 and speed of 260 the aircraft begins the shaking/rocking/bouncing. The shaking/rocking/bouncing behaves the same as when the aircraft is stalling. Upon reaching FL380 I must reduce speed manually to 235 or the aircraft will not stop shaking/rocking/bouncing. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the software but it appears to be in the registry and therefore whatever is causing the issues is still embedded in the PC. I am curious if this is h…

    Hi, Firstly I love flying this lovely Bird, she's and awesome plane, and once again PMDG have done an awesome job! Just one small issue I have which hopefully someone can assist me with is that my MFD & Primary flight display freeze during cruise and I actually have to click on the screen to enlarge it to see the correct displayed information. Like right now I'm flying and they are frozen but when I click on them to make them bigger they display the flightplan correctly (to where I currently am). On decent they seem to fix themselves decending through about FL200. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. Cheers,

    Hi, Just had my first flight with the T7 - flies like a dream. Can't understand the issues people are having with flying it. I fly the NGX most of the time and just followed the way I set it up and fly it. I think the key is to follow the correct procedures and make sure all the info required for the FMS is entered correctly. Trims great, slows down great and is easy to land. Great product! Rob Rob

No matter which format I tried I kept either getting an invalid entry message or if I removed the leading 0 and entered it as W7600 or 7600W the leg distance was way too long. Any suggestions?

    As far as I can tell, EditVoice Pack has provision to recognize the 777. However, when taxiing at any airport, I noticed that Ground control refer to my PMDG 777LRX (Virgin Australia) simply as a "Boeing" when they issue a command to other aircraft in my vicinity. eg: "Qantas 333, hold position, Boeing on the taxiway". (They're referring to my aircraft as the Boeing). With the NGX, Ground recognized my aircraft as a Boeing 737, and the same caution includes "Qantas 333, hold position, Boeing 737 on the taxiway". Any idea what's missing?

    I would like to ask for correct take off procedure. This is something i have problem here. My take off's are like rocket launch, i have big problems to keep speed restrictions. What i do is when i line up at the runway i arm VNAV. I press TOGA and plane accelerate with D-TO engine regime as set in FMS. When i lift off, speed is increasing rapidly, especially with low fuel/payload. Problem is that plane is accelerating all the way up to red limit, passing VNAV settings. Should i press some buttons to keep VNAV regime after lift off ? I do not want to turn on Autopilot just after take off, i like to fly initial phase manually, i need only assistance with speed co…

    Evening, in the video below you'll notice during takeoff there is a brief master warning once takeoff thrust is selected. In the comments section someone asks about this, and the uploader responds in German that it is a warning for the wheels not being straight. Is this simulated?

    I need help. Yesterday i was doing some landings with T7 then i closed fsx and opened again i selected the t7, click fly now everything loaded ok but then when the aircraft appears my fsx stops working and closes. The green initialing bar doesn´t even appear. The NGX works fine though. This happened after uptade the PMDG Opertions Center Thanks for the help Márcio Araújo

    Hi Guys, Finally brought the T7 into PANC today, and from about 2500 ft down, on the VNAV profile, the terrain avoidance warning screamed the entire way down. I was over water most of the time. I was using Aerosoft's PANC scenery.... Anybody else experience this? Was there something I might have been doing wrong?
