After changing the time in the menu, sometimes the clock on the panel of the 777X doesn't actually update the displayed zulu time. Does anyone else see this?

Is there a place to look in the VC which shows the exact % of thrust that is currently set (a place where throttle setting can be read in percent)? Thanks, Ken

This morning on a flight I noticed the two frequency displays at the bottom of the ND were not showing. I have no idea how to set the display . Any thoughts? Cheers, Don Emerson

Does any one notice that gsx uses AKH containers rather than AKE or ALF containers as it should? The AKH containers are only for the A320/321-200 series. They are too small for the T7. Also has anyone noticed that during push backs, the nose wheel acts strange because it doesn't want to turn when the tug turns. This was not a problem with the ngx but I found the solution: Turn off all the hydraulics until after the push back. Like I said, this was not a problem with the ngx. In real life the way around this is a bypass pin, which is not simulated in fsx. I think the ngx was not a problem because it allowed the nose wheel to be turned by an external force such as the tug e…

First here are my details (and yes the units are right), this plane barely climbs out.. crawling up at 200 - 300 fpm.. this is not right. KSAN to EGLL (BAW 272) FUEL - 71903KG LEVEL - 49.4% GROSS WEIGHT - 274,100KG TOCG - 28.4% ZFW - 202,200KG I am doing a departure from KSAN now.. at BROWS, she's just got over 4,000 feet and still hasn't hi 240 knots, in fact not even clean at this point (FLAPS 1). This should not be a problem.. why won't she climb!? THR REF LNAV VNAV.... CLB thrust indicated with 93.1N1 trim steady about 3.0 btw.. Just to make sure it wasn't a weight issue I thought I'll strip out all the weight.. still won't climb.. I went a…

The Topcat developer has publicly stated that putting in the performance profile for any 3rd party airplane is some kind of 'huge' task? Therefore the 777 has NO profile in Topcat (AFAIK) yet... which is annoying considering I purchased PFPX + Topcat as a 'bundle' and can't use Topcat AT ALL without the 777 support. I recognize this hardly is a PMDG responsibility, it really belongs squarely in the corner of the Topcat developer, who is hard at work trying to redo his software to totally AVOID entering new 3PD airplanes into his product. I recognize that Topcat is not "must own" software, I have lived without it until now. OTOH, it would be nice to have it integrate …

I planned a route from KIAD to EGLL using a United route from FlightAware. The last few waypoints are SLANY, STU, and NUMPO which gives a straight in approach to Rwy 09R at EGLL. Attached is what my course looks like using "PLAN" and "STEP." Never saw anything like this before. Why does the flightplan show a circular path? The waypoints look fine on the computer.

So, I have put on my flame suit in preparation for being a 'rivet counter' and a 'nit picker' by asking for the following, but... Take into consideration the amazing detail already added, I don't think it's unjust to ask for some small improvements. Any chance of make the cabin door windows transparent, like the passenger windows? Also, there is a small door (for lack of better terms) on the cargo doors that isn't on your fantastic model. It's on both forward and aft doors. See attached :- It folds in as the cargo door begins to open, the following link is to a photo on flikr showing it (You can see it to the left of the cargo door light) http://www.flick…

Long time PMDG user, but first time post. The 777 is a fantastic model in every aspect, I have just one unimportant query in the grand scheme of things. When I replay a satisfying turn into bay or line up, the nose wheel is not animated. All my other PMDG aircraft, 737NG, 747-400X have this animation on replay. Does anybody else have this same issue, if not what is the secret. Regards Ian A

Hi Everyone, Not sure if this has been covered already but there's only 1 small issue I've been having with the 777. Typically during 'cold & dark' start up I do all the pre-flight and preps and all is OK. Once I begin push-back and engine start up, I proceed to start the right engine and flip the fuel control switch to IDLE and all is fine. I then proceed to start the left engine and immediately after I flip the switch to IDLE I get the warning buzzer sound and master CAUTION light is displayed which I can't get rid of no matter how many times I press the button to cancel it. The only time it goes away is after I've completed the flight and shut the engines d…

Currently I have to perform a check ride with a virtual airline where I am not permitted to engage the A/P below 10,000 ft. My takeoff procedure is as follows: Arm A/T L and R Set MCP Speed to V2 Advance throttles to 55% Press TO/GA Wait until THR REF is annunciated on the FMA Push the throttles full forward. Now, based upon my reading/research the A/T and the A/P systems are independent. So, after wheels up, I expected the airplane to not exceed V2 on climb out. However, within about two to three seconds I am way up in the mid 300's ... a gross overs speed event. A/T are definitely engaged but I'm not seeing what I expect with regards to the MCP Speed sett…

I made my first attempt at using the request winds function in the FMC this afternoon and was unsuccessful. I am using OpusFSX (latest beta) and am aware that the manual is actually the .txt file in the PMDG/Wx folder (I have read this). So I have a few questions: 1. The .txt file says the file format should be named ICAO1ICAO2.wx. Is the PMDG T7 looking for this file based on the departure and arrival airports placed in the FMC, based on a company route loaded in the FMC or based on a flight plan loaded in FSX? In other words: -Can I still use this import function if I build my own route in the FMC. For instance, my test flight was KLAX to PHNL with the route…

Hello All, I have not purchased the T7 as yet and my query is based on a screenshot I saw. On the FO EFIS there are 15 buttons on the left of it, obviously I don't know what they are as yet, but I wondered why they were not duplicated on the Captains side. Regards. Richard Welsh.

I'm starting to get a little suspicious about T7 CTD on approach. Several flights with the T7 must go under the VAS CTD, but by an APP to Heraklion (Aerosoft) tend not to be a problem. I have to fly more more and see how it develops. But it's been a while since I could land the T7 due to OOM unfortunately. There is a VAS =@ on APP, maybe from the FMC? It is an intense working moment. All the best Jens Michlas Copenhagen DK

Hi, I'm using the 777 since the begining and I flying the real aircraft as well. This aircraft is simply stunning ! I Itried some engine failure during the take-off. Great ideas to have the option to simulate an engine falure at V1, Vr and V2. The aircraft and the systems are reacting like in reality. Now, could you considers those problems : 1. When a severe damage is simulated, the TAC should disconnect. The FCOM 9.20.15 said that the TAC automatically disengages if engine thrust data is lost. I doesn't happen in the sim, the TAC remains engaged. 2. I started a topic few weeks ago concerning a "sound problem" with altitude calls : http://forum.avsim…

I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but when I am lined up to take off on the runway, I have both FD's on, auto-throttle is on and I bring the thrust levers to about 60%. Once at that setting, I press the clickspot on the autopilot panel that is the screw to make the computer take over and accelerate the aircraft. This works fine until a few seconds after reaching the correct thrust setting, the throttles reduce back down to idle without any input from me. What is going on? Can someone help me?
