PMDG 777

Hey Guys, I'm having a really fantastic time with the PMDG 777 but I'm having a minor issue with the documentation. It's all there and I do read it from time to time. The FCOM vol 1 and vol 2 along with the FCTM are some big documents, with many pages and no divisions or bookmarks. Consequently, when I get the urge to read about a system or a topic, finding it in the documents can be a challenge. Was it intentional for these documents to have no bookmarks? Sorry if this question was answered before, just point me in the right direction.

Hello, I can't use the functions in the "comm" part of the MFD, to get the ATIS of arrival airport for example and I was just wondering if there's an option to activate or so, and if it's necessary to have an ATC add-on to use it ? I know functions are available depending on what airline you fly etc.. But even with PMDG livery nothing works. Can anyone help ?

Hi guys, I was wondering why the passenger totals in the FMC add up to around 230 in the FMC. When the typical 3 class configuration of the 777-200's is 315, 2 class = 400 etc. etc. By entering a ZFW into the fmc total, it always gives me the same CG. Is it possible for a future update to alter this so we get slightly different values each time [how are you guys loading her] Cheers Alex

Hi i was just wondering if i am able to view my route on the ND. I know with the ngx you could press legs and then step to each waypoint ensuring everything looked ok, but cant seem to find this option on the 777. Kind Regards Chris Harwood.

So I've been waiting a long time to get the 777. I was fortunate to have won this fine aircraft but there were some complications and I am going to go ahead and purchase it soon... now I am wondering if I should wait for Black Friday? I have waited this long... I can wait a little longer for a nice deal but I am also very eager to fly with my friends, who have already gotten this birdy. Do you guys think there might be a nice sale on Black Friday from PMDG, that I should wait or should I go fly now? Please don't say buy now because it's so goooood... I've heard how good it is. Hi folks! I've got a question: I don't know if it's a generally bug, a problem with my installation (in fact, the pmdg777 runs without problems on my system) or maybe realistic... After the first loading a 777 from the fsx menu, no matter if it is a 77L or 77F, the fuel temperature is approximately near the outside temperature. After reaching higher altitudes and decreasing temperatures, the fuel temp decreases also. So far it seems realistic for me - the fuel temp decreases e. g. to -15° C. I've tried setting a calculated temperature, I've tried just CLB 1 or 2 in the FMC, and neither works. The aircraft goes straight to CLB mode.

Hello Experts, Can someone explain to me the logic behind the ground sensing mechanism and the reverse/ground spoiler lockouts? The reason I ask is that I am unable to unlock and engage reverse thrust until the nosewheel is on the ground. In addition, the ground spoilers only deploy when the nose wheel is on the ground. I get all of the flight spoilers, but I do not get the ground spoilers until NWG touchdown. I don't think this is correct because I've seen many a 777 video where reverse and all spoiler panels come in before the NWG is on the ground. Here's how I perform the landing: 1. Flare 2. Land 3. Every time I attempt an Autoland I get everything setup fine it seems until it kicks over to "LAND 3". The aircraft flares to early and to shallow at about 30 FEET every time no matter how fast or slow I am going resulting in a slight bounces of my main gear and settling back down again, I have tried multiple fuel/payload options. I am missing something, any suggestions? Thank you.

I put in a support ticket today, but I am not sure my tickets are being sent at all. (To my first ticket I supplied (month ago) I got an Email response, but to my last one (two weeks ago....I never got a reply...not in the Ops Center nor per Email) Does anyone know if you are supposed to get a confirmation by the Ops Center when you put in a ticket? Something like "your ticket has been sent to PMDG support" or so? I get nothng, and after I describe my issue and press NEXT I am righ back at the start where you supplying a new ticket.

I don't succeed in changing the backlight for the lcd screens as i used to do in the 737. In the 737 i can go from very dark to full light and i can't do this in the 777. (sorry english is not my first language)

On ~12 hr flight SCEL-YSSY, FSX froze the instant that I tried switching from ECON to LRC with the FMS (see screen cap). I have had no previous "freezing" issues with the T7 (see screen cap). Anyone else experience this..? Ken Boardman

just to clarify whether all 3x modes of flap operation is simulated. PRIMARY: flap handle selection = hydraulic drive. SECONDARY: flap handle selection = elec drive after system fault is detected & associated SLATS PRIMARY FAIL &/or FLAPS PRIMARY FAIL eicas message/s show. Very pleased with 777 however I'm getting frequent skeleton effect (aircraft with no skin or walls), I am using hi end PC with digital HD and 6gig of memory. In researching forum, seems that several users reported similar issues, solved by re installing FSX sp2 and or Acceleration. I want to do same, is it best to uninstall previous install in my case Acceleration then install it again, or just install over old install, Will this process harm any installs or 3rd party aircraft or sceneries, which I have, would prefer not to have to reinstall completely FSX with all add ons. First of all, apologies if this has been answered somewhere, but in a forest of all other threads about the never-ending alarm, I must have missed it. I have an annoying A/T problem that I need some assistance with. Please note that I can reproduce this consistently, but it may or may not (probably isn't) be a bug. I like to land my planes myself and not let the autoland do it. When I'm at around ~7000, I disconnect the A/P and A/T, silence the alarms and it's all good… for a couple of minutes when A/T re-engages itself. No matter what Flight plan I use, I just don't seem to be able to hit my waypoint altitudes when descending via VNAV. My first few flights I took using the Tutorial by Ryan and all worked bang on. I generate my flight plans with FsBuild 2.4 and then manually enter my Star and set my GS intercept alt on the MCP from the approach plate, just a few minutes before top of descent, but find myself going into a holding pattern when closing on my LOC intercept heading because I am too high and have to get rid of about 3,000 ft to be at my correct alt. I notice all the way down, that I miss my alt at every waypoint. I am obviously doing something wrong, but not that expert…
