Hi I have REX and the 777 Can I import winds aloft data from REX directly into the 777 via WIND DATA REQUEST on the FMC? or do I need to buy PFPX to be able to import winds aloft data from REX in to the 777 via WIND DATA REQUST on the FMC ? Thanks

I can't seem to work out how to do this. For example I have BRI, CI27, F127 then runway in FMC. I can delete BRI and add BRI90/10 and that appears as BRI02 no problem but if I Try to add another waypoint before that e.g BRI45/15 I get invalid waypoint. Also anywaypoint based on C127 e.g C12709/10 fails. What is the right way to do this step by step. I am trying to build a set of waypoints for a circuit all based on BRI. I could do with an advanced FMC tutorial e.g when do you use ERASE and when DELETE etc. Is this all explained in the manual - even so a few examples would be great. Peter Rowan

hi guys i have had a problem on my last flights. when i am starting my decent i realize that my sound is not working properly.. i hear the engines and their sound changes but there is nothing else creating any sounds no seatbelt sign sound, autopilot disconect, callouts not even the clicking sounds on buttons. After takeoff and in cruise all sounds work. Its flyable but once its all gone i realize how much of the experence is made from the sound plus landing without the callouts can get difficult. I can enter coordinates like N50W080 into the FMC, but not half-degrees such at N5030W080, as I've seen done in World Air Route's Air Canada 77L Polar DVD. Is this a unique issue of my system, am I doing something wrong, or is this simply not coded into the FMC as something that can be done? Luc

Hello, just a short question. I noticed in the Tutorial 1, in the Cold and Dark addendum the APU is started just after the battery is switched on. My question: Is the activation of the APU sometimes delayed until shortly before pushback, like in the 737 or is the APU usually running this early on the checklist?

Small gap under the glareshield in the external mdl vc where the backside cul in max is allowing daylight to be seen through the underside of glare. see pics Pretty minor but as its a very simple fix probably less than 5 mins to do in max just thought I would suggest it for the up coming update. tks kav

Ok for some reason The cockpit is now too dark at night. I can see the panel when the lights are on but if I look to the side or any area with out lights, it is pitch black. I have tried adjusting the brightness and it does nothing. is there something I am missing? Thanks for any ideas Doug

HA I feel awesome, although I bet if you read something somewhere in the manual or the paintkit instructions, you'll find this. BUT ANYWAYS If you put a box of black in the alpha channel, positionned over the cargo containers in the pmdg_777_fuse_1.dds, the cargo containers vanish from the exterior model. Thought those of you who like GSX might enjoy this, assuming you have photoshop!! SO happy that those stock ones can be removed, thanks for continuing awesome features, PMDG, you guys thought of everything!!

Hi folks I have a question for the real t7 pilots that are among us. What is the crosswind limitation for t7? I made quick takeoffs and landings in crosswind for fun but last time while a touch n go i felt like max rudder wasnt enough to put the nose on the centerline. The wind was 293/48 and runway track 352, the aircraft wa a fully pmdg t7 qatar cargo with 10t of fuel. Did i exeed crosswind limitations or there is some thing wrong here ? I Just tried to print out the manuals for the B772LR, but it seem that only the Introduction and the tutorial are printable. Opening the other documents the printer symbol is greyed out. Does that mean we have to open these documents on an additional monitor or computer if we need them for reference, as printing doesn't seem to be possible?

Has anyone encountered this problem where FSX just freezes/hangs and it can't be recovered? I only have this sometimes with the 777. Not when I follow "normal" procedures though. It mostly happens when I let's say do a pattern, land, taxi, turn around, reset the aircraft, and it just hangs on takeoff for example. It also happens when watching replays. In other words, if you do anything out of the ordinary there's a chance it will hang. This does not happen in the NGX, and I made this sure by doing over 20 flights before the 777 was out.

Hi, just wondering if anyone had any ideas what I am doing wrong. 2 things.... 1 I understand that the auto throttle will remain engaged, unless I disengage it. For example on my last flight I wanted to hand fly the approach and let the A/T handle the speed. So I disengaged the autopilot and hand flew the approach and the auto throttle seemed to handle the speed for a while, then I noticed my speed was dropping to an unsafe level like the A/T had been turned off but I had not dis engaged it. To get it working again I engaged autopilot, and turned A/T off and on again then dis engaged autopilot again so I could hand fly and this time the A/T controlled the spee…
