PMDG 777

  1. Hi guys, First off a big cudos to you! A real treat this aircraft simulation. Have to say from the early NG up to now the evolution in making it possible to fly a complex a/c in the confines of FS single pilot operation is super. Secondly, en route to TNCM now and I encountered a little issue. At a certain point, don't ask me when because I only noticed it a few minutes ago, I noticed the MSG light was on on FMC/CDU 1, I looked it up in the FCOM and it's supposed to only light up when there is a scratchpad message for me to read. So went into the FMC 1 system on my CDU1 though no message to be found and strangely enough, no longer able to enter data in the scratc…

    How would you like me to post questions? One per thread with a useful title or multiple in one post with a not so useful title? Is it possible to increase the volume of the radios? All volume settings are at default at the moment, and didn't see an option in the CDU. I probably missed a button on the pedestal? After landing, how do you disable APP mode on the MCP? I even tried the TO/GA button, but it wouldn't budge. Thanks! N Brazen

    Hi. First of all - thanks for the 777! It's a great piece of work. So dont take me wrong when I ask to remove some of it The chair is frankly in the way. The head rest obstructs the view when I turn left, and is clipped. If i move forward i get too crammed up in the instrumentation. If I use zoom, I get stretched terrain. Ive tried to find a clickspot to move the chair back a bit, but I cant find anything. What am I missing?

    Hi Guys, Just purchased the T7 a few days back and i am extremely satisfied however i have an throttle issue which i cannot put my finger on. I am using a registered version of FSUIPC and did my calibration for my HOTAS Warthog via FSUIPC to link with the T7 but when i push my throttles up fully, it automatically spools the engines back down again. Tried reinstalling on the FSUIPC again on numerous occasions but the same problem persist. IS there something im missing? Please advise !! Thank you

  5. Very pleased with 777 however I'm getting frequent skeleton effect (aircraft with no skin or walls), I am using hi end PC with digital HD and 6gig of memory. In researching forum, seems that several users reported similar issues, solved by re installing FSX sp2 and or Acceleration. I want to do same, is it best to uninstall previous install in my case Acceleration then install it again, or just install over old install, Will this process harm any installs or 3rd party aircraft or sceneries, which I have, would prefer not to have to reinstall completely FSX with all add ons. Advice would be appreciated, thanks,

  6. Currently I have two registrations available from the FIXED CONFIG choice from the G-ZBAV AIRCRAFT screen of the CDU. G-ZBAV was obtained, I guess, by choosing the BA livery. I also have N772LR from the original software installation. I cannot understand how to create an additional aircraft registration for a B777. If I enter a new registration in the FIXED CONFIG field and LSK it, I receive a blank SELECT AC CONFIG screen and no ability to add a new registration. What am I doing wrong?

    Good afternoon / Early Evening, I having some trouble with the 777 i also had this with 737 and ILS approaches. especially trying to get lined up with it from the route I've just taken. Basically when programming the Flight computer i put my STAR in and all the good stuff. then i get the ROUTE DISCONTINUITY and i copy the CI27 (say for example) which is the first point under the DISCON line. This is due to a video i watched on the 737 and he did this so assumed it was normal. I can never get lined up properly;y and always tend to do nose down approach.     Hi all, So since the 777 came out I have done a number of flights from Birmingham to Dubai EGBB to OMDB to test my plane thoroughly and out of about 6 or 7 flights I have landed once fine, had two "Your computer has run out of available memory" on landing, and today as I turned off the runway. Another out of memory on the downwind leg while approaching Dubai and I forget the others. I have followed all the advice in setting up the 777 to work properly but can't work out if this is being caused by the 777 or the scenery which is FlyTampa Dubai.     I'm not sure what is going on but it has happened twice in a row now. I am at the gate getting ready for departure when my spoiler lever goes all the way back on its own and locks into place. I can't move it forward. Its stuck in the fully deployed position. I don't have any warning lights showing. First time it happened on a coldd dark start then I reset for a short turn around and it just did it again. I believe I was setting the trim at the time.

I still have two bugs coming up during my flights: 1. If I want to zoom the displays (doesn't matter which one) a black zoomed in window appears but is gone after a second. The Display is blank.     Hi. i'm having a problem with 777 pmdg.... i formated my pc two times and one time i don't remember , after i install and i can't disable the 777... ok after i formated my pc for second time , i installed the fsx ok , every thing ok , when i put the 777 key , ok , there aren't any problem... but when i enter on fsx , the 777 doesn't run , the controls are locked , the wings are locked too , engines off , i can fly with pmdg 777.... and i can't disable the key !!!!!!! here's an picture ..     Hi! Is there an option in real 777´s (and in the PMDG T7) to proceed automatic step climbs, like it was possible with the MD-11? I´m just asking because if fly a real time longrange route, i usually leave my computer and sometimes i´m not there if have to proceed step climbs. Usually i just enter the new altitude (From 360000 to 380000 FT for example) and after that i change the MCP altitude and after that the aircraft starts with the step climb. The step climb method in the MD-11 is much more comfortable... PS: I don´t mean the auto step climb optio in the fmc, which is a part of time acceleration etc.

    Thanks first of your time. Hey guys, just a quick post this time; In the Issue tracking thread; - Erroneous master caution in flight when using cold and dark panel state. I can confirm that the Master Caution is also illuminated when I have started the flight from a generated panel state (Not the cold and dark one). Just thought I'd also add that it is the first time it has happened to me, so not at all a common occurrence. Blue skies and safe flights.

    Hello I am having this problem and don't know if anyone is expereincing the same issue. When I fly in virtual cockpit view, the gauge seems to be frozen. I have to fix it by changing to another view and then back to the virtual cockpit view. It doesn't happen everytime but it has occurred once or twice over the weekend.   18. Good Day, I just bought the 777. A great machine and I am having TONS of fun flying it. However, when I fly with FS Passengers. I load the airplane from the menu, then load fs passengers. After initializing the flight, I have a black screen. The simulator is still running though. If I were to click around I can still click buttons and switches. ATC still talks to other planes and the sim seems to continue as normal, but I have a black screen. This also happens when I pre-maturely respond to ATC and push "1" which brings up the flight plan menu instead of answering ATC.     Hi, After some researches I think I might need a professional feedback from someone. On the Ground we can see on the display the OAT no problem with that and this is very normal will skip this part. In the AIR we only see on the display the TAT.     I'm not really grasping what the manual says about this. Also, I'm new to FSX, so that doesn't help either ... Is it or is it not possible to always load an aircraft with a specific livery (or can it even be tailnumber?) in a state of your choice? For instance, whenever I load a 777 I always want it to load in the, say, cold and dark state.

For instance, when flying the PMDG 737NGX - I can easily communicate with the ATC through the regular ATC menu (pressing 1, 2, 3, etc... accordingly) But, recently, in the PMDG 777LR/777F - the ATC menu comes, but when I want to select to communicate with it via 1, 2, 3 - nothing happens and I don't listen to any ATC communication - ever.     Whenever I attempt to use GSX with the T7 I get very annoyed because I will open the cargo doors, and it will still think they are closed and it will say "open Cargo FWD and cargo AFT" forever, I can't depart from the gate because of it. Also, while catering, it will say "open door 3", I will open all the doors but it will still think they are close. I have all the latest GSX updates and patches.

    So I was using the Catering Service with GSX today and I noticed one of the vehicles went to the Right Entry 2 door and the other one went to the usual Right Entry 4 door. I'm used to seeing it at Right Entry 1 and Right Entry 4, but I was wondering if this was how a real world 777 would do catering service. Anyone know which doors the real world 777 uses to do their catering service?

  25. What is the correct procedure? I can't find any good info in the manuals. (i'm sure it's there but it's such a pain to search through them) For which altitudes should you enter winds? For how many altitudes? Is there a rule of thumb? Do you have to change the values if the forecast changes a bit?
