PMDG 777

While I love this aircraft and the many different audio files tht comes with I have noticed one in particular.. Robert as you have said you used to work for United and with the 777.. So my question is this when you request the route of flight from the operations center it goes off.. A few minutes later it comes back and there is a destinctive ding tht goes off in the cockpit alerting u tht you have recieved the route of flignt so tht u can load it into the fmc... now while flying I heard tht ding... Hello guys Three question for you today. 1- I have a little problem to track a radial, i enter my VOR frequency my fix etc... but many time that work and other no, so what order steping do you use? 2- Yesterday i was perform an apporoach in the old hong kong (VHHX) but when i tried to enter VHHX in the FMC i've got a "NOT IN DATA BASE" my airac is fully update.So i use the ZUH and CH VOR to complete my approach. 3- I try to create an holding point wich is not in my FMC, so i enter the POS of the waypoint and the name of this waypoint and the computer show me "HOLDING AT WAYPOINT" but but nothing happen and i don't see the holding way in the sreens. …

I'm hoping someone else has seen this issue or can point out user error on my part. First, my options in the FMC are set correctly to have the chrono control whether autocruise is on or off. Now the issue: occasionally when I try to leave autocruise the digits on the chrono turn red and the 777 continues to fly in 8x. I can't get out of the mode unless I manually reset it through FSX's menubar. But often it's too late and my airplane has flown well past the T/D point and my flight gets ruined. Anyone else seeing this?

folks i was wondering how do i get the blue alternates arrows with distance informations on the ND with MAP mode. im able to see them without distance on pln mode. and here you can see it at 05:54 that on the ND, there are arrows with distance informations showing (i think) the closest fields from the alternate page. thanks in advance

I have spent a well documented $2,700 for a machine that somewhat reliably attains 4.7GH and always attains 4.6GHz. I have followed all requirements (minimalistic) as have been presented. But still ... when I approach KFJK on the Parkway visual approach for 13L ... my fps drops to 14 ... ish ... and the presentation is jerky. I don't care about fps ... I just it to be smooth. Other than purchasing a Cray computer ... I'm at a loss ... I do not use any add on scenery except for KATL and KFLL ... and Orbix Global. #####?

This is just full out odd ... I haven't been able to track down exactly when this began to occur ... but when I try to launch FSInn within FSX using the T7 FSInn/FSX just freezes. If I load the CRJ-700 from MS, FSInn launches just fine ... but as soon as a complex add-on like Level-D 767 or the 737NGX or the T7 ... I get the freeze. I did a fair amount of searching and discovered one solution ... which is to launch FSInn from the Start menu ... which is what I'm doing and it works just fine ... I'm just irked by the fact that I can no longer launch FSInn from within FSX. Any ideas?

777 flies fine with many flights - a great plane - I love it, never any OOM errors or CTDs and good performance but gradually all the altitude call outs have gone. They are all turned on in options. All other sounds seem to work fine including the annoying RAAS messages but not rotate call outs or any landing call outs now. I have seen a few forum messages around gradually reducing landing call outs but now no takeoff call outs. Is this a known bug. BTW I always start off as suggested in the manual with FSX loading and then I load the default 777 with the default start up. Peter Rowan

Has anyone noticed that there is a steering mechanism on the t7 main gear? It turns the last pair in the bogie. I have never noticed it move in real life.

From day one I have been using a multitude of programs such as FPS Limiter as in the past it has helped me overcome OOM with PMDG NG and other payware aircraft. I was still getting OOM with PMDG especially upon landing, thankfully landed successfully but scenery all over the place. I read a post boo hooing any such applications apart from HiMem fix recently. Today I did two flight's from Narita to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to RKSI both with addon payware sceneries and AI at 100% (over 1,300 airlines in AI) and not one OOM. Did not even close down between flights. For me PMDG B772LR works best by using no add on frame limiter/addon/boost performance. Maybe all those who are …

I have a question about the speed during take off.. I have the MCP to 250 and when i take off everytime I reach 250 instead of the engines spooling down to maintain 250 it keeps going strong.. Althought I see the FD having me climb at a higher percentage but should the aircraft maintain 250 is its setup to that or is that a normal procedure.. I know during landing when i disconnect the auto pilot the aircraft maintain what ever I set to the MCP but why not on take off...? thx .. Carlitos Colon

Hi guys, is there any way to hide the "cargo box' when opening the cargo door? because its kinda annoying when I use gsx.

I hope I in the proper location for these question. Im using pfpx for planning and using the ground operation to load the fuel. but do I have to load the passenger and cargo manually or the ground operation will do it for me.

After a cross country flight from kjfk to klax (no acceleration used) I was turning on to my final approach and the 777 CTD. I don't have this problem with any other plane, although I have had a number of problems with the 777. 737ngx is fine and so is the q400. This tend to occur on long flights with the 777. I was able to do kjfk to klas with the 737 two nights ago without incident. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I was on vatsim and I just lost an entire afternoon. I have ftx global and the klax is fsdt. In the past I have gotten OOM indicators, but this time that did not occur (I have disabled ut2 and since I was on vatsim I was not running voxatc).

I was wondering if PMDG will develop the -200ER and -300ER models of this aircraft. I will not ask for release dates because I don't want to torture PMDG any further , I was just asking what if they will be made and how much they might cost. I expect they will be expansions for the 200LRF base pack and not seperate addons. I hope the cost wont be too much as we have already paid $90 for the base pack. Regards, John

After disconnecting all ground connections and pushing back, I proceeded to startup engines. Then the wheel chocks and this APU or whatever it is shows up and comes along on the flight with me. The wheel chocks stayed with me until gear up. Hope anyone can shine a light on what could be the problem here. Thanks R

Hi guys. I have been noticing that sometimes while at cruise I would get a random fps drop by over 10fps and it keeps fluctuating highly resulting in it not being smooth. After quite a while the fps would return to stable lock again at 30fps. (fsx set to unlimited and nvidia inspector fps set to 30). This happens especially in VC. i tried changing views to external and wing views and all is fine. Sometimes it wouldn't be fine too but mainly in happens in VC. Anyone else getting this? I noticed also every time when landing the 777 the fps drops a lot. I don't know why to be honest. I hope patch will some how help with performance. I believe i have quite a decent pc but th…

Skippers, by watching at some of the videos on youtube, I see quite a few NON-NORMALs (with associated checklists - [] icon) popping out on the EICAS. Anyone willing to expand on the FAILURES (sys failures, eng fail, instrument failures and so on) this 777 can simulate, if any? And, if there are failures to simulate, can you set the ones you want (or just random failures) to happen when you want them to? That would be awesome Thanks

When leaving the simulation speed on slowest, after some time , unattended , the plane goes into uncont rollable state. Any suggestions. Ron
