PMDG 777

I hate how the dome turns on automatically at dusk when it turns to night. Its happened a few times on final and really distracted me. How can I disable it? Looked thru the FMC options and turned cabin lights to manual thinking that would fix it but it doesnt. Cant locate any other setting. Jim Burke

Hi, please have a look at the attached image: There is what appears to be a double magenta line on the NDs. A solid one and a dashed/dotted one right next to it, running parallel. Seems like some kind of alternate or deviation route. Anybody knows what exactly this is? How is this programmed into the FMC? Thanks Dave

I know this feature has been asked a few times before, but there has never been a response from PMDG and it isn't a feature in any of PMDG's products. As I don't sit in front of my PC for 10 hours just in case a failure occurs, I have failures turned off. But I feel I'm missing out on quite a lot this aircraft has to offer because of it. Is it possible to implement a option where the 777 can pause the sim if a failure occurs? This means I won't come back to the PC to find an engine has failed and the aircraft has crashed because I wasn't there to deal with it.

Hi, I recently realized that turning the heading selector at nighttime doesn't provide any turning animation, although the numbers in the heading window adjust fine. During daytime, the animation works as it should and the selector can be seen turning. Anyone else having this or did I screw up my installation somehow?

What would happen to the controls of a real 777 if: - All electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits were OFF; - no engine and APU was working; - the RAT had not deployed Would it still be possible to have control response ( column and rudder ) ?

Hi all I already had PMDG B777 prior to instalation of the Airbus X Extended aircrafts. I did get some messages on installation asking if I wanted to install the Locked version wich I accepted. During installation numerous messages asked about permission to execute new DLL fliles wich I accepted also. My problem now it that the RAAS in PMDG B777 doesn't work anymore. And I get a message at the start of FSX telling me the my RAAS is out of date. I did updated it but still the same thing. My questions are: Should I be using only one RASS and which one Keep the PMDG or Airbus? Where are those files, should I delete some and whch one? I seem to be having a confli…

Ive had a problems a few times now while flying the 777. It doesnt happen all the time, just sometimes and i cannot seem to replicate it. Sometimes while im climbing out from an airport, while on LNAV/VNAV the AP will command the lowest possible speed, just above the red marks. When i go to the legs page, there will be no manually entered speed restriction, but it will say that the speed that the aircraft wants to be at is, 170 kts for example. Or, it will be a normal speed, such as m .828 as i had just a few minutes ago, but the AP was commanding 188 knots. I had to enter FLCH mode to get my speed up. Im assuming im doing something wrong, just cant figure out why it happ…

I contacted FSDT, and got this in reply: That's just confirms what I've said: you are seeing parts of objects, which means everything on our side is running correctly ( if it wasn't, you wouldn't see anything ), so it's surely a video driver/settings problem. Try all the following: - Update your video driver - Reset your video driver settings to default - Reset the FSX settings to default, by removing the following file: %APPDATA%\Microsof\FSX\FSX.CFG This will force FSX to rebuild a new config with all default settings. How can I get this to function with my pmdg product really not sure what to do. Rob

Thanks very much to the PMDG-Team for this fantastic bird. I have done several short hops with it - without any problems. The only small problem is that i can`t find a way to dial in my ADF. In my FMC under NAV-Radio are only the 2 VOR`s - no ADF. In one picture on the tutorial 1 i saw that under these VOR`s are 2 ADF. I don`t know why these ADF aren`t shown in my FMC. Can somebody help? Setting the SID was no problem but when I went to set the STAR that was when everything went to crap. First try the FMC locked up, FSX froze up and crashed. Hello guys i would like to know what approach do you perform when ATC controlers are present? Just for know if i do wrong or not, actually i do that: Example i fly heading 360° below FL100, runway in use for landing is 05, an ATC controler say me "turn right heading 020° i change VNAV to FLCH because the way is more shortly than the VNAV profile, if necessary i put V/S. Same example: an ATC controler say me "turn left heading 340°" i stay in VNAV mode because the way is more longer than the original profile.But if he say " turn left heading 340° and maintain 4000ft" i switch on FLCH too. Per FCOMv2 page 5.10.1 to 5.10.3 it appears that if the Approach Receiver Selector is set to MKR and the button to it's left is pressed when passing over the outer marker I should hear something. I have also tried the above in conjunction with the Speaker Volume Control on. Still can't hear anything. I must be doing simething wrong. Does anyone know whar it is. Thank you Michael Cubine

Hi all, on some flights but not on a regular basis I noticed a behavior that appears really odd to me: LOC (and also APP) modes do not arm as expected when the buttons are pressed, i.e. I see no green light on the button and no FMA indication that the modes are armed Sometimes, to fix the issue I try disabiling and then re-enabiling the AP. After this off-on sequence the buttons do get their green bar and the modes are reported as armed in the FMA as expected. Yesterday, however, this manoeuvre failed at the end of an excellent EGLL-LLBG/RWY08 flight and I had to land in manual mode as I found no way to get LOC and APP armed at the end of the STAR to LLBG RWY…

Want to know how to correct PMDG_777X.DLL errors. This always happens to me when I am mid-flight and when I am either doing something on the FMS, or in this case exactly, I was pressing the NAV button on the EICAS to see the NAV on the middle screen. I started up with SHORT panel state. I read somewhere to not start up with the panel states, as that might be the problem, but I am not sure. Any help would be appreciated it. Evening all, Since the release of the triple 7, I have been waiting for the right time to buy and fly this baby but wanted to wait until all of the "bugs" etc have been removed. I note that the list of issues that have been fixed is getting longer, and was wondering whether it is worth waiting for PMDG to release a patch to fix all these bugs or are they things you rarely even notice? Hello, I m using my B777 with autocruise and maximum timecompression of x8. However, doing this and flying at x8, radard contact often does not recognize that I reached a waypoint and already heading to the next one. In consequence, it is telling me to turn 180 degrees to get back to this waypoint. The only way to solve that is to ask for a "direct to" the next waypoint to get rid of these messages. As this is quite annoying, I would like to ask whether there are other users that have the same issues and maybe found a workaround? Since Pro ATC X is also on the market, does someone have experience whether this issue exists with that software as well or is it worth tr…
