Having never had the privilege to be in the cockpit of a real 777, I wonder if pilots can see the wingtips from the cockpit? I fly using trackir and have not seen them. Not modeled or impossible to see in real life?

I have notice this for a long time... As shown in the picture, GROSS WT is no more than 398000 pounds, with no passengers, no cargo, only about 53000 pounds of fuel. but 30/137 is obviously too fast for the plane. If I perform an approach with this value, I will get a negative pitch. So the approaching speed I have been referring to all these days is the speed 10kts above the yellow line when flap is set, and this speed will give me a perfect pitch when approaching. However occasionally I can see the Vref provided in the FMC is correct, just like my own calculation-- about 10kts above the yellow line, but still I see 30/137 more often. Ok. I'm really confused and worried about this. For some reason, the aircraft will not climb. I have tried disabling autothrottle, and increasing N1 to see if the autopilot will climb to reduce my speed, I have checked FMC CrzAlt, MCP altitude, waypoint constraints and still the aircraft decends. I have flown this on routes on FSX at least several times. Images included below: Here is my FMC PROG with 0.0 fuel predictions. Any idea on what could be causing both this phenomena? Regards Nick

Hi! Since the last reinstallation of FSX, I'm getting a strange Stackhash error after 30 mins of flight (not always, sometime even earlier). I've done a quick research on the net but I haven't found a working solution. So I ask here if someone can help me with this really annoying problem. Ok.. I like to think I can fly these sim aircraft quite well.. in fact I have absolutely no trouble at all with the 737NGX and the 747-400 from PMDG... can fly them around manually or with the automatics without any difficulty.. in all weathers.. with engines out.. etc etc.. but the T7.. I just can't land it to save my life! I am wondering if it's me or if it's something in my sim that's causing the problem.. Hello, today I had a qute subtile issue with the great PMDG 777. I do not know if it is caused by a faulty operation by myself, a bug by PMDG or if it works as intended. Yesterday I flew from OMDB to EDDF with a 777F. PFPX suggested two step climbs, the FMC as well. I entered the step climbs as planned via /360S and /380S using the right LSKs on the LEGS page eventhough the calculations made by PFPX and by the FMC almost matched perfectly. Finally everything was working well. Today I was flying a much shorter route, namely from EDDP to EGNX. PFPX again calculated a step climb from FL360 to FL380, somewhat 300 miles before T/D, the FMC did not suggest a step cl…

Can anyone tell where I can purchase the PMDG 777 in the UK. I managed to purchase the 737 and 747 from Amazon.co.uk. I cannot seem to find the 777 anywhere on Amazon.com or .co.uk. I would rather not purchase from the PMDG site itself as this is a very expensive way to go. I hope someone can answer this simple question. Many thanks. Eddie.

As I'm sure many of you people using the C&D panel state probably realized, when you get a warning for any little thing, and end up tripping the Master Caution Light... it ends up sticking. Now, for most people, they can just ignore it. However, if you're like me and like to fly long-haul trans-oceanic flights... it sort of breaks the immersion. :( That being said, here is a really clumsy fix, 100% unapproved and may possibly break something method to clear this out.... although I'm absolutely positive PMDG will release a fix for this "soon" /jks. I hate how the dome turns on automatically at dusk when it turns to night. Its happened a few times on final and really distracted me. How can I disable it? Looked thru the FMC options and turned cabin lights to manual thinking that would fix it but it doesnt. Cant locate any other setting. Jim Burke

Hi, I could find where I set transition altitude to departure configuration but I can not find the config to arrival procedure. So when I am arriving it always consider FL180 or FL150 (anyway in Brazil this is not actual transition altitude). Another issue is that sometimes in tkoff procedure I spool the engines then click in TO/GA spot so it starts increase thrust levers but for some reason the thrust levers begin to return slowly to idle position. The coinicidente (or not) in these cases is that I make huge alignment corrections while running with pedals. Anyone with same issue? It does not happen every time.

Hi, when I climb to my cruise level, in EVERY flight I get a cabin decompression.... Cruise level is well set in the FMC. After that alert, my Autopilot goes literally CRAZY, but to solve this problem, I just pause and unpause FSX, and AP recovers. I cannot complete an entire flight without having a cabin decompression, I don't use any external weather engine... Please help, this is really annoying me for now 2 weeks, since I have the 777. I've tried to unnistall and reinstall the 777, nothing changed... Thanks Alex

Helloo, First of all, the 777 sound set is really great, but I have a question, is there an way to put to volume from the touchdown sounds up? And the thunk thunk thunk? Because I think it is a little bit louder in real life. Is at an specific volume level option in FSX, like cockpit or environment? Or can I change it at via an other way except putting my speakers to max. ^_^

Having just purchased the long awaited 777 from PMDG. I have now run into a long standing problem which may or may not be easy to solve. The problem is when running FSX for a couple of hours or so the sound card seems to fail and all sounds go very high pitched and squeaky (if I tab change and open internet and play a video on youtube for example, the sound is still dreadful!) unplugging and then re plugging the headset or speakers (whatever, I am using at the time) back in, then seems to solve the issue and it runs fine...However on the 777 and 737 NGX there seems to be 2 separate sound systems present. When I unplug the headset and plug in again I still have ATC and eng…

Hi. On my takeoff roll I spool the engines up to 55% when stable I press my TOGO (ctl+g) button on my yoke and the auto throttle used to activate and the green light would come on. But for some reason it refuses to activate now, even if I push the keyboard buttons or try to mouse the button on the MCP. I have to push the throttles full forward to get to TO power then manually control the throttles to avoid going overspeed, while repeatedly pressing the Autopilot button before the AT will engage.
