Hi all, I have spent quite a few hours with the PMDG 777 now and I am still delighted by this magnificient aircraft. So first of all, it's time to say thanks from my side for creating this impressive simulation. On of the aspects I really love about the latest PMDG aircraft is the EGPWS simulation. Back, in old Aerowinx PS1 days, I made myself familiar with loads of technical details on EGPWS and I still love this system. That's why I would like to discuss a few things I noticed. I think I found two bugs and a few things which do not "feel" correct. Read on for more, please. 1) First of all, let me start with an issue I found comparing the PMDG 777 EGPWS disp…

Hi all Maybe it is me doing something wrong but here goes; I've just loaded up from OMDB-KSFO, and departed normally. I noticed i couldn't hear the engines spool up or any engine power, but i can hear the wind. I have been into the FMC and all of the sound settings are fine and like usual, am i doing something wrong or is this a known bug? Thanks

When I complete my flight plan with PFPX and I get the latest winds and temps for the day...when I export them to the fmc and I start comparing them during the flight there is a discrepancy to them all. I know that the weather is dynamic and it is trying to compute but how far off is it? Is there a fault tolerant, and how much? Once I request the winds to the fmc how come I can't change it to the true values at a certain Vor or waypoint during flight?... and because of the wrong data will it interfere with the entire flight plan. Thanks.

Gentlemen, for your information. If using the Alternate Flaps Extension, there is no flaps maneuvering speeds indication on the speed tape. Ref FCOM 10.10.05 I hope it will be corrected in the future. Vpira

Hi, With the fantastic T7 I got a problem in the ILS landing configuration. I have attached a print screen of runway 18R of EHAM. On the NAV RAD page you can see the frequency of the VOR 110.40 m RTM of EHRD. It seems to be in a manual mode, because it shows 'M'. The frequency of the ILS 18R of EHAM is 110.10 VPB 183 so I get on 1750 feet a message "No autoland". I have tried to put the frequency manually in the NAV RAD page, but with no succes! Has this issue to do with the 'Cold and Dark 'mode, where I started this flight at EHRD? Is there anybody who can tell me what I did wrong in this case? Thanks in advance for your help. Best Regards, …

Hi, After landing I can see smoke below the fuselage, it's coming from between the main gears (see attached image). I did not strike the tail during landing, touchdown was rather soft than hard. I took this image with Aerosoft's Dusseldorf add-on, but the same issue happened to me the other day with the default scenery of Beijing. Does anybody know where the smoke comes from? And how do I get rid of it? Thanks, Thomas

Hi, I did some night flying with several liveries and noticed that when i am at the gate, logo lights are switched on and showing in the external model, but when i start the pushback they no longer are illuminated while the button is still in on. This is during pushback and engine start then they illuminate again. Is this the same in real life or is it a bug?? never noticed this in real life. RGS,

hi, just one question I noticed that the cabin ready announcement before departure is triggered using time frame and not having the taxi and before take off checklist completed. same applies during the landing. shouldn't the cabin ready announcement take into consideration that the plane is ready for departure/arrival thank you

Hello, I really like the subtle rattling sounds from the cockpit in the t7, it really makes the plane come alive. I was thinking about trying to get the rattling sound into other aircraft but I couldn't find anything in the pmdg 777 sound folder. Is it located somewhere else or is it built into the plane somehow? Is it possible to get it into other planes? Scott

When I open the topic "TOGA pushed airborne below 400 feet" my Malwarebytes is advising me that it has "blocked access' to a website with the IP address of 79.142.67.143. I'm not sure which post this is coming from in the "TOGA" topic. I am not getting this warning on any of the other topics that I visit on AVSIM. Billy Bluestar

Hi all. At what point we do start trimming aircraft? When we will be knowing the aircraft is out of trim? When to stop trimming? On what basis like either watching the fd bar to be on centre line of artificial horizon by trimming when it is not on the centre ( between blue and brown) of artificial horizon. When you will know this time I have to trim up and k this time I have to trim nose down. I know that I have to trim but I don't know when to trim and what to see to initiate manual trimming. A lot of people said that to release the pressure on yoke and when you apply some force on yoke and when the aircraft is not responding as it should be we start trimmi…

Yesterday I had a fault in my APU bleed valve fault, which I had to cancel in order to start my engines... Since I didn't activate it myself, what could I have done to my plane that made my APU bleed valve to break?

Hi, This is driving me nuts. There must be a technique for this that I'm missing. I'm unable to trim the aircraft out for level flight. I understand it is "trim for speed", but without a reference for the speed target, it is very hard to trim out for level flight and on-speed. I always end up either with a slight climb or descent (by slight I mean around 200-300 ft/min!!!!!!!), or a few knots fast/slow. What is the secret to trimming this thing out? It's driving me crazy. Is there a way to see the speed target? Obviously the system knows what it is?! It also makes flying the ILS tricky as it is either descending too fast or not fast enough, and thus de…

Hello folks. I purchased the 777 a few days ago and I can't seem to get it to start/load. By that I mean that it always causes my FSX to freeze when choosing it from the aircraft menu (whether on the main menu or after I load another plane in game). I exceed the minimum specs (so that's not the issue). My basic specs are: ASUS Z87-C Intel® Core i7-4770K (4.5GHz to 4.8GHz) NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 660Ti 1TB 7200RPM I have the PMDG NGX (and expansion pack) and have no problems with those aircraft. I have downloaded the latest versions of Direct X and C++. I have tried a full reinstall (deleting everything from the folders also) several times with no luck. On the lat…

Hi guys, Left the PMDG777 cruising at FL330 alone for an hour today and when I came back FSX was not responding anymore. Came with "Microsoft FSX has stopped working" and I choose the option to close it rather than checking for a solution. I downloaded "Appcrashview" but I can do nothing with the data it spits out :-( I can post the Appcrashview report here, but it is quite long, so I am looking for something a little more user friendly. Like..."FSX has stopped working.....this or that driver/app/etc caused the problem" (Ps I realize the 777 might not be the cause, but I am active almost only on this Forum so I hope its ok to ask for help here.)

When TOGA is pushed , airborne below 400 feet, I get THR REF / TOGA / VNAV SPD , what is not correct ( the vnav was armed prior to Take Off, as it is normally used ) , . It should be THR REF / TOGA / TOGA. The FCOM ref is 4.10.20 Also, the auto pilot does not maintain the ground track present at mode engagement . The FCOM ref is 4.20.7 By the way, the Auto pilot ( when engaged at 200 feet while in trim, with one engine inop ) does not maintain any Heading or Track as well. Apparently another bloomer from the technical beta team.... Vpira

Hi everyone, First of all, my compliments for this wonderful, wonderful product. It was definately worth the waiting. Since I'm a user of various opencockpits modules, such as the mcp and efis, I wonder if there is a chance that the 777 will be compatible with the modules. I use the OCP4NGX software that let me run those modules with the NGX, but the T7 option still doesn't work. Any information regarding if, and so, when this function will be made possible? Niels
