Besides watching my fuel temperature, are there other things I have to keep in mind? I mean can I leave my sim? Or do I need to have true/magnetic heading turned on at set parts of the trip?

I need some help because this is really frustrating. Everytime, I try to do a flight and I go to the fuel page and change the range to short, the engine shuts down completely. Can someone help me because I'm about to pull my hair out lol Pierre Walker

Just checking again to see if this has been acknowledged by PMDG. I am referring to the seemingly random DEPARTURE locations where one does not see ANY illumination thru the VC no matter how dark it is outside. And some departure locations where one does see the expected illumination, hence the randomness. Oddly, when it's time for arrival at night the landing lights are very bright as one nears touchdown. This has been reported several times but it is such a glaring (or not so..) issue that I'm hoping it's not being brushed over using various rationales that don't really seem to apply, such as 'it's supposed to be dim thru the VC windshield'. It's not dim, it's com…

Every time I look at my displays in the 777 virtual cockpit my frames drop to 15. It is weird because outside of the plane and when I look around let's say at the overheard I reach my frame rate limit of 30FPS. It happens with low and high settings. Any help Dane Quartel

Hi Folks! Everyone who is interested in approaches at winds of 240/35G55+ may visit the EDDH (Hamburg, Germany) area on October 28th 2013, 1400 UTC. (Works fine with AS2012!) It was so windy at this time that approx. 1500 passengers in 10 A/Cs parked on the ramp weren't allowed to deboard. Common sense of pilots had lead to safety concerns which were followed by the ground operators... Never heard of that before. In EDDH last year they started filling the fuel tanks to keep the planes from shifting positions over the nightly stop overs... I flew a short leg from EHAM to EDDH today (777F, TNT, OO-TSC). 35 to 50 kts on final, but with RWY 23 in use quite a head wind sit…

I was flying around today just messing around in the Triple 7. I took off and what appeared to be a small propeller was deployed aft of the landing gear, it was very small and it clearly wasn't a glitch. I was wondering what this was and what exactly it's use is. Seems too small to provide power to such a behemoth.

Hi all I get an alarm after normal landing when I try to disconnect the a/p. Or if I use my joystick to turn the aircraft I have to silence the alarm and reconnect the a/p to get rid of the sound. Any suggestion. Thanks. Bat

Good afternoon / Early Evening, I having some trouble with the 777 i also had this with 737 and ILS approaches. especially trying to get lined up with it from the route I've just taken. Basically when programming the Flight computer i put my STAR in and all the good stuff. then i get the ROUTE DISCONTINUITY and i copy the CI27 (say for example) which is the first point under the DISCON line. This is due to a video i watched on the 737 and he did this so assumed it was normal. I can never get lined up properly;y and always tend to do nose down approach. I did follow the tutorial which is good! but when i do my own routes i just simply have to pull some G an…

Greetings, I apologize if this has been pointed out on the forum, but I've noticed 2 of the liveries available via Ops Center download aren't correct. The Aeromexico livery has the Star Alliance logo near the front of the aircraft (should be SkyTeam), and the Ethiopian Airlines livery doesn't have any logo near the front (should be Star Alliance). I know that there's bigger things to work on besides fixing liveries, and one of them is a fictional one...just wanted to point it out. V/R Trent Shoemaker

Hey guys, just wanted to share some observations I've made while messing around in the PMDG 777. First of all, let's start out with a scenario where an engine cuts out during rotation. The aircraft will be a 777F with full payload and short range fuel departing from PAFA's RW20R: A VR right engine cutout is programmed via the CDU menu... Observations: 1. The Thrust Asymmetry Compensation system does its job well, it trims the rudder hard left to compensate for the rightboard engine failure. Apart from the rudder, the thrust asymmetry compensation doesn't touch anything else; a slight roll to the left is observed with the left engine on TO -10% power and t…

Start with the A/T engaged (say in the SPD mode) with the speed window blank, and the A/P and/or FD engaged, Now if you disconnect BOTH the A/P and FD, the speed window opens with the speed that was last displayed before the window blanked, and not to the current aircraft speed or the target speed. Let me illustrate with an example: Starting at takeoff, the MCP speed window is set to V2, say158kts,with LNAV and VNAV armed. After takeoff when VNAV engages, the speed window blanks - note that 158kts was the last speed displayed in the window. Using the standard autoflight procedures, you get to the stable cruise state, with a cruise speed of, say 310kts. At this s…

At the risk of being attacked by those of you with too much time on your hands, I have a suggestion I'd like to put forward for the upcoming T7 patch: increase the size of the click zones around the speed, heading and altitude knobs. Admittedly, I've adjusted my view settings to 78, -0.55, 7.5, but that's just so that I can get a better inflight view of all the instruments. Unfortunately, this also makes it very difficult to use the autopilot knobs when in flight. Respectfully, PMDG, I'm asking that you increase the click zones for all three autopilot knobs as part of your T7 patch. Other than that, this bird is perfect. Congratulations PMDG on developing what is now…

I've set up the FMC precisely as instructed in the first tutorial and I get a warning "insufficient fuel" both on the FMC and EICAS. I've triple checked all entries and all are as they should be. I know there have been fuel calc problems but a search has not revealed anyone reporting this in connection with the tutorial. Is this part of the fuel calc problem being looked in to? Iain Smith

Hi all, I just came upon the news that Jetmax has released its plans to build 777 modules in the same format as their current 737NG model. No pricing information as of yet but it looks pretty awesome!! http://www.jetmax.ca/news/images-of-the-new-jetmax-777sktq/

Hi, Does anybody have problems with Process Explorer" as well? This is basically what happens ;-) 10 start (double click) procexp.exe. 20 it immediately crashes 30 start it again and then it is ok for 10-20 minutes 40 it crashes again 50 goto 10 lol Very annoying though. I noticed in Windows task manager that there is a: procexp.exe *32 and procexp64.exe Is that normal? I have win7 64bit, but ending the 32bit version did not help anything. I also tried running process explorer on core 1 (instead of 0) but that did not help either. Antivir software is not running. Thx. ps That is as far as I ever got with programming in basi…

PLEASE DELETE, NO ONE IS WILLING TO HELP ME! You guys need to wake up, honestly it's so frustrating when you do this to people. Who do you think you are? Superman? Your not! When I posted this I was looking to get an answer within an hour so I could fly my 777 today! But obviously with all your stupid unnecessary questions you guys asked and let alone you make me look like I'm a pirate. I've never been disrespected so much, and if you want me to follow the rules well tell avsim to unlock the feature to show a ######ing display name for once so I can change it!
