Just noticed that if you choose an RNAV approach for landing that the MCP will allow you to dial a setting that's close to your minimum for landing. So if your MDA is 522 it will go from 600 to 530 to 500 as you dial down the MCP knob. Am I right on this? I saw it twice. Eric W

After having installed FSX Gold, mainly to be able to fly this great add-on, I used the usual recomended tweaks, and everything is perfect and smooth. The FPS are locked ( in FSX ) at 30, the V-Sync set through Nvidia Inspector, but today I decided to disable V-Sync, and set the FPS to Unlimited. Went flying, first the A2A C172, then the PMDG 777, using RWW injected,, which is rainy and windy at all levels around the Iberian Peninsula. With from 24 to 100+ FPS I was really happy and had, apparently, no problems. Then, during one of the legs, wind winds at FL370 around 90 knot from 3 o'clock, I experienced, for the very first time in my PMDG user life, S-turns.…

I'm currently in the descent phase of my flight from Washington Dulles Intl. to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. During the climb phase I noticed red boxes had appeared around the N1 values on the upper EICAS display. They've been there troughout the flight and still are there. What causes these red boxes and how can I get rid of them?

Hello PMDG 777 Pilots, I have two issues, almost completely unrelated, but I didn't want to waste forum space with two separate topics. So anyway, here goes... Issue one is the more important one in my opinion. The issue is in regards to auto time compression. I appreciate the feature a lot, and having recently solved the issue of 4x< loading, I would like to solve this last one. Simply put the aircraft never seems to want to speed up, or when it does it's only for a couple of seconds. As I write this my T7 is flying over the Indian Ocean, in a straight line for tens/hundreds of miles, with no AI, minimal weather from the looks of it, and it's not speeding up whats…

Yesterday during the powering down sequence the ISFD did not turn off after all power has been removed, including the APU and battery. There was no external power connected. Note that the Brake Source light is off indicating that all power has been removed. The ISFD was functional: I was able to change the altimeter settings. I did manually deploy the RAT earlier as this was a functional test flight. However, the airplane is parked, the RAT is not spinning and should not be generating any power. Thoughts?

Around 1600Z yesterday there was a post made concerning flight dynamics of the PMDG 777 which came off looking pretty bad compared to the RW 777. This post had four documents that could be downloaded. The Boeing Performance Manual, a ReadMe.txt, aircraft cfg, and air file. I don't know if the post was correct or not because I moved on thinking I would come back later and try to understand exactly what the poster was saying. 15 minutes later the post and three replies were gone. I am using PFPX, and Opus for my flights, but have gotten myself into the "Time continuum" mess lol. I edit the STD, and ETD to match 8:30 a.m. in Dubai to create a flight from OMDB to KJFK. Once I launch FSX, I setup the time to 8:00 a.m. to give me time to set up the T for the trip, but the time in the chrono shows different. I presume it could be GMT, but it is off by half an hour for that to be the case. Any insight, or advice for resetting the time in the cockpit would be appreciated, as Dr. Emmet is not responding to my calls right now

Hi guys, on my flight into the night this evening I've experienced a flickering on the whole main panel. It has only occurred, when the flood lights were nearly turned off. Here's a screenshot: I think this effect is wanted & normal, but should only occur on the displays?! I'm not 100% sure, but i believe, that I've seen this on the displays of the 737 NGX, too. Maybe it's caused by my graphics card? I mean, it's not a big problem, but it's a little bit annoying. Here're my system specs: AMD Radeon HD6850M (1GB) i5 2450M (3,1 GHz) 8 GB RAM ENB-Mod turned off Any hints? Thanks, Sebi

I installed the 777 this morning onto my MacBook retina, ran fine for a few hours. came back to it this afternoon and now FSX keeps crashing/ sometimes the game will load but the aircraft has no landing gear - will fly but has no display in the cockpit. Try to change aircraft and FSX crashes. Hi all, Just half way through a flight VHHX to NZAA amazing how far you can get using cruise compression in just a few hours! So I noticed a slight side wind coming from the starboard side of only 13Kts, but at the same time N1 for engine 1 is 100% but N1 for engine 2 is only 77% at FL330. Is this something that would happen in a real 777 with it being such a large aircraft when in the cruise or is it something unusual with the PMDG777. Just interested as it's flying along fine but never noticed this with any other aircraft.

I tried to enter a waypoint like DF413 or DM424 in my FMC. I get a message "Invalid Entry". Any ideas? Some other folks have that problem too. If a waypoint like this is in the STAR procedure the FMC does accept it.

Hello: I have been enjoying the B777 quite a lot and slowly learning the complex systems. I have found that if I am on an automated final approach, when I disconnect the A/P and A/T to continue to fly the approach manually (I have sight of the runway on an airport-ILS that is not auto-land capable), the ILS pointers (LOC and G/S diamonds) disappear from the Primary Flight Display. Sometimes there is a VASI at the airport for some visual guiidance, sometimes there is not .... I do not understand why the ILS pointers should disappear. Is this correct? Thank you for any advice. Hi All, I am having this problem---what am I doing wrong---I am trying to fly a long flight OMDB to KDFW---I build a plan in PFPX and the get it imported into the T7 no problem but when I get to per init page and try to punch in the Gross weight of about 717.xxx I get an unable message---I chose the weight from the CDU as Long range amount--and copied the fuel GW from the FSX fuel/payload amount shown from the fsx menu

Hello Everyone, This may sound stupid but I cannot release the park brakes on the 777. Pushing the brake pedals does not work neither does the period key. My brakes are now red hot (great animation) and my tyre pressures are somewhat down. I used the slew key to align with the gate. Could this have done something? Regards, Stephen.

Hello, I want to share my experience with my flight last night on T7 last night. I flew from Atlanta, GA to Lima, Peru on delta livery and I tell you my flight was outstanding and the T7 is very very awesome, well made airplane ever!! I got the flight route from flightaware and entered it in my FMC. All ready to go and in flight I monitored everything went well. I hit some turbulence over the Caribbean and saw some towering thunderstorms (I used active sky 2012) and the wings were shaking like wow this is so real! Approaching Lima, the visibility was 6 miles and 1,200 feet of overcast clouds so I decided to use the autoland. It brought my plane down to the runway accura…
