Hello everyone! I just want to know how i can switch thru my flghtplan on the ND. I´m asking because i can´t find the STEP Function in the LEGpage of my FMC, after i turn on the PLN Mode on the ND. Normally you can switch from waypoint to waypoint in the FMC with this function and you can see the waypoints focused on the ND. So, how can i do this with the PMDG T7?

Back when I owned my AMD 965 Black Edition, I purchased a "killer" graphics card, an MSI 560ti Twin Frozer. That card has served me well for a couple of years. Even when I upgraded my MB, CPU, and memory to Ivy Bridge, my graphics card could hold its own. I flew the NGX with no graphics issues, especially using DX10. Enter the 777. I immediately noticed that the minimum graphics card memory recommended by PMDG is 1GB , exactly what my 560ti had. I know what PMDG means by minimum. No additional addons, minimal performance, etc. I was pleasantly surprised when I loaded up the tutorial flight and didn't have any issues. 30 fps, crisp graphics, smooth operation of…

I have a problem entering the equal time points. I use PFPX as route planner and i have done the tutorial for 120 min ETOPS now when i was gona fly a atlantic flight there was a problem. I was entering the north atlantic via NAT A and i was using a 180 min rule because the 120 wasnt enough on that route. The route was gona start att EGLL and end at KIAD and i had EGLL as my first ETOPS alt and CYYT as my 2.nd my ETP was gona be at N5001.9W2940.5 i entered it as it shows on the fix page but it came up invalid entry. How do i enter this thing if im at 180 min rules? Kind regards

Hi all, I noticed that upon touching down the landing gears are not leveling with the runway. Instead the landing gears continue to be in an angle with the runway and touch completely down only after some seconds after rolling on the runway. Can this be fixed to reflect more reality? (On take off it works perfect). Thanks, Christos

Hello, i've been having problems for a couple of days now. let me explain: When i start the sim and fly (with t7) everything is fine. when i end the flight and i return to the freeflight menu, the 777 transformed in a grey mesh then when i start the displays are off, the landing gear is gone/retracted. and the fan blades are gone! now i have FSX SP2, advanced animations on, and already reinstalled the T7 and FSX. even Windows. So even with a clean pc. i still have these issues. i think i have a license problem with the T7 now i've already went to the support portal, explained it to pmdg, but they gave me the answer that i should start with the default a…

Hi ! i Ask a stupid question thatis not clear. When an hotfix for the 777 is released or a Sp they will be downloaded from the PMDG Site as always or thru the OC center? As i read on various forums something that for me is wrong that the 777 is at 1.5 version when actuallythe 1.5 version is of the OC not the 777.

Hi, I've rebuilt my simulator PC over the weekend and have got it running line a dream now. Up until this point I've not had many issues, in fact no issues other than what is described in the issue tracking thread. However, whilst planning an arrival into London Heathrow, I managed to crash FSX to the desktop. I restarted and performed the same steps and it crashed again. I then did it a third time to be sure that I can reproduce the issue. I was wondering if the issue is only isolated to my sim or if it's a bug? Can someone please test this and let me know the results? This is how I managed to get the CTD and how I am also able to reproduce the CDT on my …

I'm relatively new to the FSX World but am a pilot. My PC has an i5 @ 3.0 with 8GB memory. Video is an Nvidia 210 with 1GB RAM. My motherboard won't let me overclock (P8 H61-M). I've gone through this forum and the T7 Introduction and with FSX set at Medium Low and the recommended tweaks from the Introduction I can get about 16FPS with fair weather at VHHH. This drops to around 12FPS if I add bad weather in FSX Right now I don't have any add on's but would like to add some traffic and weather and ATC. I'm not that bothered about fancy looking airports other than having realistic Gate positions. My questions are: 1) leaving the processor as it is, will I get any signif…

Don't mean to get ahead of myself, but with the release of the groundbreaking, and hyper-realistic PFPX, is there any chance the forthcoming 777 Advanced Tutorial could incorporate PFPX in the flight planning/fuel planning section? I know the FMS is really the most accurate fuel planner, and was used in the NGX Tutorial #2, and it is what I used in fuel planning in the NGX. I was so impressed with the depth of explanation Ryan provided for the fuel planning section in the tutorial, I even created my own spreadsheet based on his rationale as explained in that document to compute the fuel I load into the NGX. But I feel that I would like to use PFPX as the fuel plann…

I have tried the high vibration failure with High Vibration Alert selected and deselected and I can't spot the difference. In both cases if the lower DU is not on the secondary engine display it will automatically switch to that page and the vibration number box will go to inverted video and I get a cyan "ENGINE" annunciation on the upper DU. Other than that I don't notice anything else. The description in the manual doesn't really clarify it for me. What does it change by having High Vibration Alert selected?

Hello When on final and I disconnect the autopilot I get the normal warning telling me that it has been disconnected but when I press the caution button to cancel it the light will disappear but the AP sound horn will keep making a noise, which is annoying. Am I doing something wrong? even when J put the A/P switch/bar back up the sound still plays.

Hi I am on my way to LTBA in the new PMDG 777, and I discovered something I have not seen here yet. Another way to enter time compression is to right click the CHR button in the top left of the clock. I also noticed that PMDG have inplemented a feature that turns the writing green when it is in time compression. Does anyone else have some cool tricks like this? Alex Jones

I wanted to know which climb mode is more realistic for use during step climbs. V/S or VNAV? I find VNAV too abrupt at the beginning/end of climb, especially with a hot rod like the 777. And I'm not talking about a lightly loaded aircraft, I'm talking a 15 hour trip fully loaded. I have read that some simmers/real pilots dial in v/s to avoid disturbing passengers, and others just punch in the new altitude and press the altitude knob to initiate the climb in VNAV. Yes, I know that passengers won't really feel high climb or descent rates, but it's the transition from level flight to a high rate of altitude change that can be unpleasant for some. In the NGX I alway…

I was on glideslope into KSFO. Everything was going smooth with approach mode engaged. I got the land 3 displayed on my PFD showing flare and roll out. I was approaching mins and all of a sudden I get the don't sink and the plane decides to dive. I had to disengage a/p and manually pull and and do a go around. I decided to hand fly the approach instead and landed fine but what happened with the auto land? Anybody else have this issue?

Following a BSOD today, I reloaded PMDG 777, but was unable to engage LNAV to fly to the next (first) waypoint of the remaining flight plan. A/P and VNAV both showing their green lights, and FL410 being accurately maintained, pressing the LNAV switch would not, even temporarily, show a green light. Steering towards the waypoint worked flawlessly with HDG mode, but still a refusal to engage LNAV . I could manually steer towards the magenta line, but the aircraft would fly over it without altering course (LNAV showed in white on the flight mode annunciations). I then inserted a new waypoint between my current position and the original waypoint, and LNAV engaged with…

I understand that some 777's are now equipped with a head up display, not sure about the 747.FedEx 777 has a HUD I believe. And EVS but I suspect that would be out of the question for the sim. Will the 777 and/or the 747 be equipped with a HUD?The HUD in the 737 NGX is the best think since sliced bread. I'd love to see it in one of the new birds.

Just got an email from AoA saying the training had been released. Looks like 3 options you can choose from; Captains Pack (both Flightwork and Groundwork) Flightwork Pack (FlightWork guides you through every step of operations, from gate-to-gate, with our real world pilots. Authentic 777 Control.) Goundwork Pack (Know what the 777 systems are doing at all times so you can handle any procedure or emergency thrown your way.) http://www.flyaoamedia.com/777-training/ Think I will personally get the flightwork one

From the hifi forum: "Now that we know where the clouds are, we decided to make a detailed accurate NEXRAD radar precipitation overlay for both the Map and the included radar gauge. Real radar simulation.. not generic station-based imagery. You see the cloud, you see the rain cell, and when you enter it, it's all synchronized. Thread the needle between cells. Realistic avoidance procedures. This overlay data is also coming soon to aircraft NDs as we are working on an interface of our radar data to aircraft developers."

As most NGX experts have learned, it was best to have the NGX descent speed to be .78/280 kts on the FMC Descent page. I think ATC has most jet traffic descend at that speed until the transition to 250kts at 10,000ft. I don't know the specific reason, or if it's only applicable to aircraft in the 737 class, but what would be a reasonable speed for the 777? IIRC, the MD-11 had a descent policy speed, I think the default was 290kts, and whatever the mach cruise speed was at cruise until FL280 or whatever FL that mach changes to IAS. What do the pros use for a descent speed on the 777? I've been using the mach cruise/280 kts, but it seems a little slow. But I al…
