PMDG 777

Hello, I am trying to enter my ETOPS airports (SCIP and SCIE) in the RTE 2 page of the FMC (without using the FIX page) like it is almost done in the real aircraft by pilots. Unfortunately, I can't enter ICAO codes in the Route page to the right, and it does not work either in the legs page. Is this feature implemented in the PMDG ? or is it planned for a future update ? Normally, we enter the first ETOPS airport, then the ETP, and at last the second ETOPS airport. Stephane

Hi flightsim community! I did quite some hours on the 777 and the 737NGX... and all of a sudden - with no apparent reason or changes to my system or the installation - the autopilot behaves erratic. It happened twice on a 3hr flight from EDDL to LGAV. At one of the last waypoints - short before reaching the T/D - the autopilot flies straight on instead of following the LNAV profile. First I thought it was FS2CREW in the 737 NGX that killed the A/P. But nah... tonight it happened again in the B777. All other applications seem to disconnect or fail. This goes for EZDOK, FS2CREW (in the 737) and TrackIR. I don't know if this is happening EXACTLY at the waypoint or somewh…

I'm considering finally picking up EZDock mostly for my GA aircraft. Not interested in the camera views as much as the head shake/ movement feature which looks incredible. Have there been any reported issues with this program and the T7? Thanks!

Hello to all 777 simmers! On my last flight I had a tail strike during takeoff. During climb Cabin Altitude alert appeared on EICAS. I declared an emergency and landed safely on a divert airfield. My question is: is there a way to "repair" the damage without quitting FSX or I have to reload FSX and load my flight again? Thanks!

Hey guys I'd like to ask if the same activation code works on 2 or 3 PC's at the same time like installing the 777 on my laptop and desktop at the same time ?

I've been tweaking - as usual - FPS on my sytem and have a consistent 30fps using the settings Ryan posted for Nvidia Inspector on the 4Xs settings. CPU = 4.0ghz 8-core GPU = Nvidia GTX 660 VAS monitor has me w/ 1500mb free - so no issues there. I have 30fps outside the aircraft. In the VC if have a frustrating 9 to 15fps - over land, over water - doesn't matter. When I open a 2d popup in the VC, such as one of the FMC's - FPS jumps up to 25. I doesn't matter where I drag the 2D popup, I have a big FPS increase wiht the 2D window open. Any logical explanation for that? By the way, I have 8fps in the performance section for the VC displays. H…

I was re-enacting the 737-700 that landed at the wrong airport and I also stopped with 500 ft left - pretty realistic. So it took about 3,000 ft to stop a 737 with hard braking on a dry runway. - no winds) I tried the same on the 777 and I was able to stop in 2,200 ft. Can a 777 with a ZFW of 408,000 lbs really stop safely in 2,200 ft? That seems to be my typical stopping distance on most of my landings. (or is something wrong with my set up.) BTW, anyone else land at a wrong airport? I got 1 under my belt.

Hello everyone, So, over the weekend, I finally bought this unbelievable airplane. Once again, what an excellent job by PMDG!!! This is sort of a "new world" experience for me. I've been a regional "tubeliner" my entire FS life. So I've only flown flights within NA or EU but never across oceans/continents before. So, to have the entire world within reach now is really cool!! This is both good and bad though. The bad side is the credit card is really going to take a beating past the purchase of the T7 as now I need(want ) all these excellent 3rd party renditions of all these international airports that I've never been to before. I checked the open issues thread, and found some FMC related issues, but wanted to run this by the group to see if my CTD is related. I was about 6 hours into an 8 hour flight: KMIA-SBGR when I opened the FMC to add a waypoint to my flight plan. I simply typed the name of the waypoint in, and clicked the appropriate button on the left side of FMC to insert the waypoint. I got the hourglass for about 10 seconds, and then a CTD referencing PMDG_777X.DLL. I've seen some references to CTDs when making alterations during approach, but not directly enroute. Has anyone else had a CTD when altering the flightplan during a flight? Thanks, John

Is anyone aware of a 777 repaint in USAirways ? I've searched the libraries without success.

With the the 777's (and every aircraft for that matter) MMEL publicly available, and the detail that's gone into system failures in the 777, I wonder if it would be possible to implement some sort of deferred defect and MEL items into the PMDG. We can fail them already, the difference is only that a MEL item just has it's warning system disabled. Seeing as so many failures are already implemented, I wonder how feasible it would be to chose to disable a system or component without having the warning messages pop up continuously, simulating an MEL issue for flying? Hi when I disconect the autopilot for landing I can't turn off the alarm. How can I resolve?

hello guys, I just bought the PMDG 777, though I notice that when I am switching around the cameras in the cockpit view and then switch to the outside view of the plane (by pressing "S") I end up seeing the skeleton of the plane for just about a sec, its pretty fast but still a bit anoying. Does some of you have esperienced the same thing? any idea on how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance! cu

I hate to ask this question in public, but I have given up trying to find the answer in my documentation. Plus, I never had this problem until I had to reinstall my T7 last week. My question is this? How do I turn off the ILS freq identification morse code audio? It is driving me crazy listening to it. As soon as I press APP, I get it. I have looked every where I can think of in the manuals, the FMC set up and the audio panels with no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction here, I would be great ful. Love this feature but lately it has been ruining my flights. I am obviously missing something very simple, but I am trying to install a few Liveries into my 777 and they aren't appearing in FSX. I have gone to the Op Center, selected the livery to download, after downloading it says that it is installed, but they aren't appearing in FSX. What am I missing? Then I went to the Livery Manager, and see them on the screen there, but when clicking on them, it just takes me to my document folder and nothing is there. I did a search on my computer for a .PTP file, but nothing comes up. What am I missing? Thanks BobL (Dogs53).

What is this on the ISFD? Every 777 that has the ISFD installed has it.

Hi...I have been trying to fly my PMDG 777 tutorial flight 1. The aircraft starts where it should (vrmm) with engines running. Problem is, there is no data on any flight instruments. Just colored empty boxes in all displays. Setting up the FMC works fine but info is not being transferred to pfd e.g. I am going to try shutting engines down to cold and dark then restarting but this is not what is in the tutorial 1 manual. Its displays are showing data. Anyone any idea? Thanks. Rfc
