What are some real world descent speeds? I can't imagine a 777 really goes down the econ recommended 268 knots. Probably same as other types, 280, 290,300 around?

This have happen to me several times, more often when I´m landing, for instance yesterday I did a flight from LOWW to EFHK, flying on 777 PMDG, everything was right until the approach time, I was stablished on localizer and following glideslope with APilot, in the moments prior landing the speed started with a strange behaviour increasing and descending randomly until it fall low than a vref speed, I could observe 115 kts so the nose of plane started to pitch up and I had to execute miss app, I can say that behaviour is observed in several payware planes using third person weather, in this case I'm using FSrealWX freeware, during the takeoff and cruise everything is cool,…

Hello avsim community, PMDG would not respond to my ticket, in which I'm sure they have plenty of people messaging them daily and I'm completely fine with that, atleast they give us another place to resort to. Anways, I'm having issues with routefinder and my 777 FMC, none of the SIDs match... For example one sid is rik3r or something like that, right? Well if you go to routefinder in my case, and look at the SIDs the first one is "PALEO". That is not in the FMC; I'm getting pretty frustrated here as I really wanna do a long distance flight with proper autopilot navigation. Thanks! ~Slappilet

When setting up the T7 at a gate I'm getting several issues.. First I'm getting the HYD PRESS DEM C1 & 2 messages that I'm unable to resolve. Second when starting the GSX push back I remove the wheel chocks which disconnects ground power and everything goes haywire with alarms and messages and everything shutting off. I have the APU switched on at least 10 mins before disconnecting ground power. Third I'm unable to start the engines on push back or any time thereafter. Probably related to my two previous issues. I can program my imported FP via PFPX and have no issues at all with the FMC setup and have been using this YouTube video as a guide: …

Hi everyone, i am here to ask a strange question, In real life i am not a real pilot for work i only own a CPL and the biggest plane i piloted is a PA31 mostly i pilot a Pa38 or 28 so another world from the 777. My point is this for a good landing u need a perfect approach so that is what i do and till 5 nm to land all is perfect then i disengage Autopilot and manual pilot following the glide and of course the LOC. Hello AVsim community, here I come. I am a regular customer of FSX and I have basically all of their planes; however I am having a issue here with the PMDG 777. Now I sent a ticket into PMDG but they didn't respond which I can completely understand as I bet they get like a hundred or more customers a day and It's hard to catch just one persons issue, atleast they have another place people like me can resort to. I can run the 747 and MD11 in VC without any problems, I have 3 Monitors, VC on one and I drag and drop PFD Nav and Upper and Lower EICAS onto the other two.I will have to wait for the boxed set as I don't have Internet at the Moment.My Question is this if I can run the above PMDG aircraft OK FPS, but cannot fly in VC the 737 by that other company do you think I will have a similar problem with the FPS on the 777. Is ENB GTA Version O.K. to use with the PMDG T7 or has it been known to cause problems? I really like the Light Bloom effect it gives without the FPS hit of the default FSX Bloom.

hi folks i am lookking for a way to calculate (ACCURATELY) the drated takeoff power for the t7. A way that will use the weather and runway info like topcat, I have the topcat wich is great but we re still wating for the update to include the pmdg t7. I think the reason that we are still wating for the update of the topcat is the SDK(i dont know what that is, just heard it from rumors. Somebody explains what that is please:) hasnt been released yet. As the t7 has huge engines when its medium loaded, i cant determine the aprox assumed temp and drate. Well, guys, while you wait for the upcoming PMDG 777 patch, and I wait for PMDG at X-Plane 10 hangar, I've been successfuly using the best FBW implementations of any simulator ( other than the CAE at Air Portugal training center at LPPT ) I was ever able to use, namely those of two excellent addons for X-Plane 10... (both Airbuses) and trying to modify the FD of a well known X-Plane 10 777 addon to come closer to the behaviour of the real thing.... Hi, I am new to the 777 and having done a few long haul flights, I have been trying to enter the entry points for long haul flights (transatlantic) and have the diversion airport ranges show up on the map but have been unsuccessful. I just thought I would post this in case it helps anyone else out. My system is a Core i7 3770 Non-K, max locked turbo gives me 4.1GHz. I was greedy and increased the base clock from 100MHz to 108MHz to get me a bit more. (108 x 41) This config was stable for a few months, but recently I have been getting some strange crash-to-desktop with error msvcrt.dll or, just an unknown error, unknown module etc. Seemed very random and I ruled out software or other such items during testing. I decided to try the cold and dark panel state tonight and when I switched to the external view I could still hear the APU running even when it was off. I waited for a couple of minutes but still could hear it. I decided to power up the plane and then power it down again (including turning the APU on and then off), but again it sounded like the APU was running from the external view even after a couple of minutes. The APU inlet door started to close the second I turned the APU off, but a sound was still being created...this can't be right. Is it a known bug by chance? Any suggestions? Thanks, Joel

Hello, I just purchased the PMDG 777 for my Windows 8.1 machine and it has been working great thus far. But, after the first installation I decided to reinstall FXS and the 777 in a specific FSX folder in the C drive that I created (per the recommendation of the PMDG Introduction manual). After the second installation I noticed that it did not ask me to key in the activation code again. The product worked fine, but after reading the manual I saw that it would deactivate the product after an uninstall. After several uninstalls and reinstalls, from running the installer, to removing it from the add/remove tool, I still cannot get that box to reappear asking me to key in…

I tried to do a long haul in the 777 this evening and had some problems. About half way through the flight I went to spot view and the body of the plane was invisible, only the engine fans and cockpit were showing. After cycling through some views for a while it worked again so I though it was all good. Then as I was nearing the TOD I came back to my computer to find I couldn't click many of the buttons in the VC or 2D panels. Some of them on the overhead worked but none in the main captains panel. What would cause this issue? I will also contact PMDG support directly to try and help. Andy

I have followed the instruction from Tutorial #1 on the 777 booklet. MY FMC is not showing the predicted altitude after I complete the section on page 0.00.42 on the legs screen. I have even finished out the entire FMC tutorial and they never appear. I took off, Autopilot and LNAV and VNAV engaged, but no predicted Altitude. Am I missing something? Dave

Hi The only sound I hear in the vc are the engines. I don't have sounds for button/switch clicks, flap handle, pack flow, ground roll, oxygen test, gear handle etc. Basically all sound effects aren't playing except for the engines. What I have done... Fresh install of Fsx/777 (installed as admin) Checked all sound levels Ensured Ops centre updated Tested various different Liveries (no change) Any suggestions? Thanks in advance Martin Woulfe

I noticed that the winds aloft by waypoint data results differ between what is exported by PFPX into the PMDG T7 .wx file and what is reported by ASN when importing PFPX Flight plan into ASN. If I plan on running Real Time Real world weather in ASN should I cut and paste the ASN Briefing results into the PMDG .wx file or use what's already been imported directly into the .wx file by PFPX? Also I noticed the PFPX Winds Aloft .wx file for PMDG has 5 columns and ASN Winds Aloft briefing only has 4 columns (does this matter)? I'm considering using the ASN cut and paste as I may plan a flight at night and not fly the route till the next day when the weather has cha…
