PMDG 777

Hummm ... landed just fine with those puppies on ... contrary to CDU opinion. Regardless ... the attention to detail is beyond remarkable ... I love this shot of the plane. You go PMDG. This is even better ... ha ha ha ... by God ... this plane simply screams "Fly Me ... or DIE".

Hi! I have one Problem with the thrust of the pmdg 777 and i think it is not normal. ex.: I'm approaching with IAS 140kts, 2° pitch and -800fpm V/S - there is a warning tone and it says "Air Speed Low", a yellow square is around the IAS airspeed and there is already this red Thing next to the Speed, which means, I'm too slow. If i now increase Speed to 155kts, the Alarm tone disappears and the red Thing also, but know I can't descend that quick anymore, because I'm too fast, although the airplane says, it is the slowest possible Speed: 155kts; -600fpm, -3° pitch... Hi Everyone I recently bit the bullet and invested in ASN and PFPX to compliment the PMDG B77L. So far it all looks fantastic. I did my first flight the other night after having a look at several of Kyle's PFPX tutorial. When setting up the B77L as a template it shows drag, climb cruise and descent bias values at 100% in the tutorial however when I try and set mine up it shows climb cruise and descent bias' of 104%. Given that PFPX was downloaded only a few days ago, is this template something that has been modified/updated by the makers to give better values for the PMDG B77L? Any help would be appreciated. I noticed before the 777 release that in some of the beta tester's videos there was an option for a Sat dome (much like the NGX) which was never an option after release. I have followed this forum for well over a year and am surprised that no one else has brought this up. I do not really care whether it is an option or not but I am curious as to why PMDG decided to take it away and if it is planned to come back. Hi guys, I havent flown for 2 days then i decided to fly with pmdg t7.. When I clicked to pmdg, activation window opened.. I tried to enter my activation code but it gives erorr as shown below.. What should I do?

I read in the FCOMs that the engine oil quantity will tend to dip during engine start as the engine starts to run and gulp the oil hence the manual mentions a minimum oil quantity required before and after engine start. I notice this behavior when starting the APU, Its oil quantity dips then returns to normal but the engine oil does not budge. Is there a reason for this or is it just not implemented?

I set a heading, then arm heading select while still on the ground, (HDG SEL on PFD in green) after engaging toga and taking off, reaching the set altitude and the plane switches to the heading I had armed, except it is not going on the heading value that is set, it is going on a strange heading. Due north or something. Does anyone else see this? I have to press HDG hold, then press SEL again and the airplane finally goes on the proper heading angle.

Hey guys! The PMDG 777 is a fantastic plane to fly! A whole load of great work definitely shows in the systems quality and graphics! I have one problem with the paintkit though. The alpha channel that comes with the paintkit PSDs for the windows on the fuselage of the 777 does not show the black cutouts for where the windows are. So when the paint is exported into flight sim, the windows are covered in the paint and are not transparent to see inside the cabin. I am certainly not an expert when it comes to working with Photoshop, but I do know a lot. So I am unsure as to why the alpha channels for the windows are not already prepared. I recently installed the Goldstar version of the AeroLogic 777F livery. The livery is also available from PMDG. The next time I ran Operations Center, it showed that there was an update available for that livery. Is that because Goldstar provided an update, or because Operations Center compared the Goldstar livery to the PMDG-supplied livery and since they would probably be different, decided to an update was necessary? Hmmmm.... I noticed when going to the cockpit default camera View on the T7 you can clearly see rain droplets on the windshield when on the RW. However, as soon as I switch to the VC the rain drops disappear? Am I missing a setting somewhere or is this feature left out? Thanks!

Hi I have these two questions that may have been asked before but I don't have a clear answer. 1. How come the speed on the PFD is not even close to either GS or TAS on the ND? For example, I could see often TAS is 430 nd GS is 480 but on the PFD it registers as 290 and sometimes even as low as 259 2. How come the scale on the ND is always half of that set . i.e. 360 is 180, 80 is 40 and so on. Some one mentioned its due to the resolution on your FSX. These issues do not affect my flying per se. Can anyone guide me to a realistic DHM/Head Shake and camera position/settings EzDock Profile for the PMDG 777? I tried unsuccessfully to find a profile in the library and I've seen profiles for the NGX but none for the 777. Thanks!

Hey guys Fantastic airplane, I am really enjoying it. One question, I noticed in the LRF there is no ADF option while the LR does. I realize ADF's are on their way out, certainly in the West. However many 3rd world countries still use ADFs, and considering the 777LRF's world travel (cargo to anywhere) capability, I would think an ADF would be a handy thing, especially if flying a simulated aid relief flight to a 3rd world region. Anyway, I was just wondering if the LRF could have an ADF installed as an optional item. Cheers TJ

I am writing a guide on Polar Operations for Skywards Virtual (we emulate Emirates Airlines), and in the topic of fuel freezing, the real Emirates has company policy depending on the type of fuel you use, Jet A or Jet A1, due to their different freezing temperatures (already covered here in this forum in a number of messages). What I have been unable to find out is if PMDG has built in functionality for these two types or not. I.e. perhaps changing the fuel freezing temperature in the FMC changes the fuel freeze logic behind the scenes. That would be an interesting way to add such flexibility. I have downloaded every freighter repaint listed as having an accurate airline option file from PMDG and noticed most of them are wrong. With basic things like no freighter has a passenger smoking or electronic signage. All the European airlines should have C as the default temperature and Kg as their weight. And some carrier specific like Air France does not have TCAS range arcs or angle of attack indicator you can tell just by looking at airliners.net pictures even. So what else is wrong? Is the carrier specific claim from PMDG just a marketing gimmick?

Hi Everyone I have just purchased asn to compliment the PMDG B77L and B73X based on the glowing recommendations I have read around the AVSIM forums. I was wondering if ASN supports upper airways as some flightplans have up to 60 waypoints and if I have to enter each one it will take forever. I had a quick look when I launched the product for the first time and couldn't see a way to do it. I also looked in the manual and could find no mention of it either. If I inserted a departure and finish airport, altitude etc in ASN and then put my real world route into the B77L fmc will the correct winds/temps be placed correctly for a given waypoint considering it hasn't been di…

Hallo I have a Problem to fly a ILS approuch EDDS RWY07. I cant use the APP Button. There is no Problem @ RWY25 @ EDDS Speed 180 @ 4000ft Flaps 20 @VATER I have delete ILS frequency and set it manual but it doesen´t works. I am new to PMDG Boeing 777-200LR and am working my way through the 1st tutorial. I have worked through fuel and payload entry and am trying to access the FMC. I have tapped on Menu to get to the root directory but can only see Sat and Cab Int on the left lines. The tutorial says FMC should show up on LL1, but I cannot find it! Any help available? Thanks

Greetings all. I'm having an issue with time lapse and Ezdok. I have not tried the time lapse with out ezdok. But the issue I am having is when I turn on auto cruise it disables my ezdok camera for some reason. The fsx also drops down to about 10 fps and pauses every 5 seconds or so. I flew without auto cruise on a flight and had no such issues. Has anyone else had these problems or know how to correct it? Mik Sesh

With the T7 I'm getting approx 25-30 (30 FPS Limit set) in VC when flying... However, when landing at any add on AP or on runway/taxiway I'm only getting 9-11 FPS with some annoying and significant stutters when landing. I've tried Turing off AI moving Auto gen Density to very low and even removing AP vehicles. Any or all of the above only give me a 2-3 FPS boost at the max. Everything is smooth in the air and am willing to sacrifice graphics to get higher and smoother FPS at an AP in VC by am at a loss as to which settings I can lower to gave the most significant boost to FPS, smoothness and lowered stuttering...
