Just wondering if anyone could help me out with this. Whenever I select the Cold and Dark panel state from the FMC I was wondering how you connect ground power. Right now the only way is to start the APU. Thanks for the Help!

I did a search but apparently no one has got my small issue. Sometimes, even if I disconnect GPU, ASU, ACU within the CDU, I have the GPU which stays attached to the aircraft, visually speaking. What was my surprise, after takeoff, switching to external view and see this little cart floating in the air near the aircraft !!!! I will try to take a picture next time. Is it a known issue ? Will it be corrected in the coming SP1 ? (Forgive me if it has already been answered but I couldn't find any topic on that subject) Stephane Stephane LI-THIAO-TE Envoyé de mon iPad à l'aide de Tapatalk

I was flying from YSSY-KLAX going just fine at 8x in autocruise. I got up from my chair right before the triple 7 was about to initiate a an autostep climb from 350 to 370. When I got back, I came to find the airplane running at 128x speed, flying at 35,000 feet over Utah. It didn't even pause at TOD. Oh, and for some reason my brakes also got too hot, causing a wheel well fire. I have no idea what happened and I wasn't there to witness the whole thing. Has anyone seen this before?

Cruising over S. FL with the T7 last night when I got for the first time ever the dreaded OOM Error... I'm running a LOD of 4.5 with only FSDT KFLL and UTX/GEX (0% vehicle traffic), REX (1024 textures only), UT2 (AI sliders at 40% and 25%) in the area, Autogen set to DENSE and only running 1024, in my max tex load in FSX.cfg. So basically I can't lower anything further or reduce anything to really prevent this OOM. I have windows 7 premium 64bit 12 gig tri-channel mem and a 7850 2gig ATI card. Is there a known memory issue with this AC or any sugggestions when flying this AC?? Thanks!

When I turn off the "fasten seat belts" sign I get the above message in place of the "passenger signs on" message. Then I will get a random "pilot input" message warnings throughout the remainder of the flight (until I turn on the "fasten seat belts"). This sets off the aural warning, which goes away when I disconnect and reconnect the autopilot.

Could you increase the T/D distance to give us enough time to get ready for our arrival. Like 40-50NM or be able to set it. -Thanks

So I set off on a Japan Airlines flight from RJAA to KSFO. Uneventful departure except for a strange indication on the GEAR page showing the brakes on the right truck were all around 2.0 heat, yet the left truck was all 0.0. Now, I don't generally use differential braking and even so that's pretty hot just after takeoff. I was concerned about a wheel well fire and so slowed to 270K and extended the gear for a couple of minutes to accelerate cooling. This resolved the issue and I retracted the gear continued the climb on profile. Now, several hours into the flight whilst having lunch, I happened to notice STATUS displayed on the EICAS. So I bring up STAT page and s…

I bought the 777 the week it came out and of the 25 flights I have attempted I have had freezes and ctds or fatal errors resulting in fsx quitting on 22 of them. I have seen more posts on here than I can count from others experiencing the same. I stopped trying to fly the 777 for a few weeks too because it was just becoming tiresome and ruining my whole experience with fsx. I have followed closely suggestions on here as to why this is happening and made every possible adjustment I can think of to fix the problem whilst waiting for the sp1 but still the cts occur and fatal errors. I see posts from those who have never had a single ctd and say the because of that it ca…

I was almost three quarters along my route to VHHH from EGLL. Flying at FL380, and using the x8 speed on auto the aircraft suddenly sped up to x128! An then just fell out of the sky. I didn't realise that FSX could even accelerate time to that level. My acceleration settings are set at x8. Any ideas?

Hi everybody, I had a problem with Vsync. After search many topic and I found a tweak that about Vsync. I set my frame (30)in fsx and I set 1/2 refresh rate nvidia side. But this time my frame rate goes down. Other times when I set the frame nvidia and unlimited fsx side. I got more FPS than other ,but this time I have vysnc issue. Is there any other tweak about it if I miss it ? Other thing that should I use bojote's "sha3mod" tweak ? My ring ; i7 3770K 4.6 Ghz 16 GB Ram MSI GTX 760 OC 2 GB H100 cooler for cpu Thanks

Hello All, I've noticed that when using GSX with the 777 for pushback, I cannot have ANY of the hydraulic units switched on or to auto. If I do, this causes the rudder and nose gear to have crazy movements, as I would expect because they are hydraulicly powered, and trying to be turned by an outside source whose bypass pin seems to take no effect. So my question being, does GSX just not work properly with the 777 to "bypass the hydraulics" with it's "bypass pin" or does the 777 in RL actually have to be pushed back with no hydraulic power and engines must remain off until pushback is complete? (something I can't imagine happening)....I am ASSUMING that the GSX bypas…

Hello, again with the T7 manuals I have the same problem as with the NGX manuals. I do not have "page linked" content pages. In combination with a missing "normal" page numbering this makes these 1000 page docs very hard to use for me. It takes me ages just to get to the right chapter. What am I missing. Is there a trick? For the NGX i finally got me other airline manuals, that had a PDF content link page index. Thanks for any help! Christoph

Installed FSX SP2 just before installing PMDG 777 (1.00.5376) yesterday on an Intel Core Quad, 64-bit Win 7, 6MB, nVidia 1GB. So its a relatively clean FSX. Switching from default 737 to PMDG 777 it started ok - counting down from 18 etc.. Saved the PMDG 777 in the default flight - it fails to initialise from Fly Now, cockpit stays cold and dark, when mouse hovers over an instrument window FSX crashes every time. Also after restarting FSX switching to another plane crashes FSX every time. Has anyone saved the 777 in the default flight? I'm a software developer by day and I suspect the PMDG_Interface.dll is not getting loaded/initialised correctly becau…

Hi there, everytime I flew in real live the landing roll and brake time was pretty high whereas in fsx it looked to be pretty short. Thought it's only my imagination. But I bought the pmdg 777 and also the wonderful aerologic pilotseye dvd. Now I got some good videos to catch the time. Here are my findings of the pilotseye real landings(all Flap 30. Time catched from time of reverser deployment until 80kts and manual braking): 1st landing: 159kts (Vref+10) Autobrake 3: 23,5seconds 2nd landing: 150kts Autobrake 2: 24seconds 3rd landing: 151kts Autobrake 2: 24seconds but the FO disconnected ab at over 100kts so no exact value here Unfortunately the 1st…

I am writing a guide on Polar Operations for Skywards Virtual (we emulate Emirates Airlines), and in the topic of fuel freezing, the real Emirates has company policy depending on the type of fuel you use, Jet-A or Jet-A1, due to their different freezing temperatures (already covered here in this forum in a number of messages). What I have been unable to find out is if PMDG has built in functionality for these two types or not. I.e. perhaps changing the fuel freezing temperature in the FMC changes the fuel freeze logic behind the scenes. That would be an interesting way to add such flexibility. Or they've modeled their fuel freeze around Jet A only, which is fine t…
