    Hi guys, I am enroute from EDDF - KIAH on Vatsim. I was cleared to maintain runway heading on departure (rwy 18) LNAV obviously was not armed, 179 was selected on the MCP and armed for capture on the FMA. After take off I engaged the A/P and the aircraft made a hard right turn, I immediately disconnected the A/P, hand flew the aircraft whilst talking to departure & programming a direct-TO the next waypoint (not much fun single pilot!) A/P was re-engaged and is now behaving normally, the aircraft has behaved flawlessly for the past 82 hours of operation So did I screw up at some point during preflight?     Hi, I have finished my initial study of the QRH and ran through some simulator scenarios (V1/V2 cuts etc) A simple question regarding service based failures vs random failures. Do I need to set random failures or is it enough to just have service based failures enabled? Does service based failures cover everything from a simple fuel pump fault right up to an engine fire, TAC fault, decompression etc etc. On the old PMDG 744 you had to enable random failures 1 per 10 hours minimum to get major random issues. I have to say this product is a work of art, did a demo for a 777 captain and he was very impressed. Excellent work PMDG Many thanks

    Hello, today in the morning I purchased the 777 also as it not offer a 2D panel. But with EZDoc I thought I can handle that also as my PC is not the worst one and is normally working very fine in 2D view with NGX. But I just made a couple of short taxi tests with the 777 on some "famous" T7 places with PMDG UAE+BOX livery. All without traffic and weather. Aerosoft EDDF = 17-20fps Aerosoft EDDL = 19-27fps (Terminal is ~ 20fps) Aerosoft EDDP = 25-30fps Aerosoft EDDM = ~ 26-30fps Aerosoft LSZH = 18-20fps FlyTampa OMDB = 30fps UK2000 EGCC = 20fps I did not test all the other airports as I did not installed all and did not have the time right now.     Ok so i've been having this problem for a while. my caution light comes on at some point on the ground (normal) then i cant get it to shut off. if i get an alarm of some kind throughout the flight it keeps going and wont turn off (yes i went and did the reset enabler in fmc) even if its the crew alert warning it wont shut off. i turned off the crew warning on next flight but when i disconnect autopilot i cant shut that off. tried the screw on mcp. no dice... i may delete and re-install now the once and see if that works?

    I know we have access to some real life crew members on the 737NG, like Spin737, who we can ask for input on real life operations and such. Are there forum members here, type rated on the 777, who are also a valuable resource?

  11. Need your help. I've been wanting to get the PMDG 777 but am not sure if my unit meets the minimum requirement. My processor is a Pentium dual core E5200 @2.50 GHZ Memory: 8 MB on a Win 7 64 bit OS Graphics card is ASUS Radeon HD6450-SL with 2GB I've been using the PMDG MD-11 and 747 400/8 with no issues with FSX.     Hi all, i fiddled around with AES (Airport Enhancement Services from Aerosoft) to create a working config file for my 77F (Lufthansa Cargo) but it was never to my liking.   14. Before anyone may attempt to jump down my throat - I tried searching this topic through the forum but could not locate it. I've noticed for some time since flying the 777 that there are times when completing the ECL that some items do not automatically check within the list. There are many items that do automatically check themselves once you're carried out certain settings/actions. My questions are these: 1. When in Shutdown mode within the ECL, I notice that all items on the list automatically check as you progress through them (ie setting fuel pumps to off, setting hydraulics, etc) - however, when you release the park brake (as chocks are set) the Park …

    Hey guys I just purchased the 777 and completed a very successful short haul test flight from KORD to KIND. Everything I noticed was normal, except that when I save a panel state, it is not available in the load panel state section. When I click "save panel state" the FMS indicates that it has saved, but it is nowhere to be seen. I thought that maybe it would appear after restarting FSX, but that was not the case Also, there are no additional files in the PMDG/777/panel state section of FSX.     Minus FS2 Crew availabity, does anyone have accurate Captain/First Officer flows for the the 777 that covers all phases of flight? If not that, and comprehensive and thorough beginning to end checklist? I know the systems are far more automated than the 737 NG, so I'm assuming these checklists aren't as long.

    Hello everybody, I have noticed that the 777 calculates pretty high V1 speeds especially when I am really heavy, is this normal? For example, below is a picture of me taking off from KSFO RW 28R inbound OMDB (lot of fuel) and fully loaded in passengers and cargo. As you can see I am taking off with 95% thust and I had flaps 15. I would expect for my VR and V2 to be so high but what about V1? Can someone explain? Here are my V-speeds calculated by the FMC. V1: 171 VR: 171 V2: 173 I am 100% sure I wouldn't be able to stop with that little RW left ahead of me if I aborted takeoff at let's say V1-1 knot. Thanks in advance.

  21. Hi I am yesterday, flew my first long-haul flight. EDDV ----> KSFO I used FS Global 2010 FTX + FTX Global Base + FTX Vector + FSGRW + GSX and many other add-ons. I flew in real time. This is all so realistic, if you start at EDDV or on approach to KSFO. You really think you're flying a large jet. It is so cool when one lands in KSFO and the jet goes into the corner and you look out the cockpit window and looks down the streets and houses. This is all so incredibly real. You feel like in a big jet. This is so cool. Thank you PMDG for the real flight experience! You guys are great! I had to just tell time

    I use FSBuild to build my flight plan and I upload them into my 777 FMC without any issues until today. I have used a flight KLAXKORD numerous times and when I request the flight plan and upload it I get the message shown above. I have reinstall the aircraft but get the same error message. Other flight plans has been uploaded with any issues but KORD seem to be an issue. Any help or assistance to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  24. While reading ( yes I actually read it ) in the PMDG 777 Introduction Manual, on page 21 I read the best explanation of "Out of Memory" errors I have ever read. I would like to copy out of this manual this section called VAS Management and put it on my flying club's forum. Can I get permission from a PMDG support person to copy this information. All over the manual it says "Do Not Duplicate" so I don't want to get in trouble with PMDG. Thanks for any help on this. Randy
