Hi hope someone can help but I've lost all my hot spots on the 777 ,I've just recently done some upgrading so this may all be related but don't know how to proceed I have a registered copy of fsuipc which I've used for a while (had it before the 777 came out but since then I've bought a Saitek yoke and throttles and ezdok cameras all seemed to be working until earlier today when I had issues engaging autothrottle as instead of increasing it would go back to idle and refuse to move unless I disengaged the autothrottle switches I can then apply power using my throttle quadrant. This problem made me decide to run the tutorial again in case it was something I was doing …

Why do I have to go through two independent login procedures in order to access the PMDG forum? Furthermore, AVSIM's procedure to reset a password is extreme. They will perhaps quote the overused word "security" and it would be understandable perhaps that they have cause to be paranoid but if AVSIM had not upset so many people then they would have no cause to be afraid! I would be a much happier PMDG customer if the forum were not under AVSIM's umbrella. Mike

Hi I seem to have a problem with my Saitek throttle and my 777. I have a registered copy of fsuipc and set up my throttles through fsuipc as I've been told the Saitek software is not the best.My problem is that following the tutorial, when I try to increase the throttles they either do not increase power or briefly increase then return to idle. Clicking on the mcp hot spot, does not make any difference, any ideas? thanks

I took off from VHHH (heading towards EDDP), climbed to cruise level, disconnected from vatsim and went away from my computer. After 8 hours I come back and i see that my aircraft is making weird S turns and the autopilot is screaming at me. What really surprises me is that it turned left in chineese airspace to a heading of 180 and headed straight down through thailand/malaysia and ended up all the way exactly about where the wreckage from MH370 was found outside perth. Is this a known "feature" / bug?

Hello, noted that some aircraft have VC shadows and some not. Will the updates and upcoming models come with VC shadows? These are visible in FSX in DX10 mode. Think same is with P3D2. Best regards, Axel

When I select PMDG 777 at aircraft menu, "WARNING: the PMDG product was unable to create its work files. Please make sure you are running Flight simulator X as administrator" window pops up. FSX is installed outside C:\Program files folder, run as admin and UAC is off. The last thing I installed is PMDG Ops Center update. Before that, the 777 worked fine. NGX works OK.

Hi, I have used the 777 without problems for a while. I recently reinstalled and switched to a new PC and I have two problems. One I cant taxi the plane on the ground without turning off the autothrottle. I have seen many posts regarding this problem and will try the solutions I found. The other problem to which I have not seen anything in the fórums is that I am flying on Autoflight with the CDU in full control, and one engine is at 76% while the other is at 103%. I tried turning off the AT and turning it back on, as well as manually control the autothrottle via the speed selection but it has not helped. Anybody have any ideas what this could be?

Hello all, One day I was loading up FSX, and out of no where, I get this message. "Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on): Name RAAS Profesional". When asked if I wanted to run the software, I clicked yes. Well, ever since then, FSX has been crashing left and right when I load the 777 or even the default 737. For some reason now, I dont get that message anymore, but FSX its still crashing!! Its there anyway I could fix this?? Hello, For some time, I can not fly with the 777 since they are no button works. I can operate the buttons for about 2 min after the start of the flight. I try to reinstall the PMDG 777 FSX, but still the same problem. According to the PMDG support, worries come to a compatibility problem between the camera system of "Opus FSX" and "PMDG 777." Do you have a solution? thank you very much

I'm a fairly new user of PFPX but very familiar with everything it does and how to correctly fly the aircraft using the data from PFPX. Still, I am finding many differences between the estimated fuel values. I do have a real weather engine (ASN), I do put the wind data in the FMC (the one generated by PFPX online weather database, which closely matches to my ASN winds enroute), use the same cost index from PFPX, do step climbs as per the schedule. When I used the biases of 100% and drag of 100%, takeoff at the exact same fuel as per the log (e.g. if my taxi fuel was 500 kgs, I spent 450-550 kgs), and my fuel value slowly goes incorrect as I progress with the flight. Hello, My name is Patrick Mollette and I just wanted to mention a couple things I really hope to see in the near future to add noticeable realism to the 777. First off, The Electronic Checklist. I have been watching videos (and i guess you could say hanging out in the Delta Air Lines 777 simulator), and the electronic checklist is almost completely different than what is in the PMDG 777. Their are a lot more added items and even more checklist (for normal operations) then what is currently included. Now I realize that this is quite a chore to redesign and add Checklist for each airline, but could you guys not do it for at least a few of the big 777 airlines. I.E. Delta, e…

Hi, I'm a 777 pilot and thought it would be a handy training/revision tool to add the FSX software and PMDG 777 to my new iMac. I'm running VMWARE fusion with windows 7, but haven't been able get anywhere near the level of graphics I'd hoped. The cockpit graphics are blurred and I can only operate switches because I know what should be there. I've tried altering the visual settings, but have not seen any improvement. If anyone has experience enough to advise me I'd be most grateful. It's easier flying the real thing!

Hey guys, While departing from KJFK today I decided to fly my PMDG 777 off of Runway 31R instead of 31L because I didn't want to burn the extra fuel needed to taxi to the much longer 31R. Long story short, I saw the end of the runway coming and put my thrust levers all the way forward into the wall. While I'm not sure if the mains left the runway before the grass, I am sure that the EGT on my EICAS panel is surrounded by a red box reminding me why that was such a stupid idea. I zoom in closer to look at MCP then hold mouse right or left button on HDG SEL knob to change heading. Now, the knob takes some time to reach desired heading. At the same time the plane starts turning and the virtual cockpit starts changing position beneath my mouse pointer. i.e. while I'm trying to change HDG SEL the plane starts to turn and the instrument panel and heading knob starts shifting position (relative to my mouse) thus making it difficult to keep my mouse on the correct spot to continue changing HDG SEL. I have to follow the moving VC with my mouse but this is difficult and causes clicks on wrong spots. Is this a symptom of the "dynamic head movement" …

Hello, A few days ago i took off from CYYZ runway 15L, with a full house to ZBAA. During the acceleration on the runway i noticed that the acceleration was not consistent. There was a headwind of 7-13 knots directly on the nose. But the acceleration was going up stopped and then continued this happened about 5 times on the takeoff run, this resulted in needing a way longer runway then was planned. I use REX for weather, but this never happened to me before. I didn't use any odd numbers or so. Good day all. I've done numbers of flight so far and I always get this message in CDU: RW/ILS FREQ ERROR usually before TOD. Approach and RWY for landing are set correctly in APPR REF page, same way as in manual. Every time I check NAV RADIO page I find that automatically selected ILS frequency did not match to selected Approach/RWY. I have to always set ILS frequency manually. I tried to enter landing RWY before TOD, at TOD, during descent, at 10,000 ft, same thing, it didn't change anything, ILS did not autotune. Thanks for looking.
