PMDG 777

Question, It seems like if I leave the A/T on for landing, The throttles retard at around 15 feet. Causing a floating effect. I thought the real aircraft brings the throttles to idle at 25-ish feet. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

How can I buy PMDG777 if online purchasing is not available in my country? and I'm not be able to have a card because I'm under 18

Can I please find some guidance? Only in the 777, when I click from one program to another, the joystick disappears from FSX. (Win8) Things I have done: - Changed back and forth from windowed/fullscreen - tried re-calibrating stick - disabled USB power saving modes Not sure why this is happening.

This not a "when will it happen" question or a "how much will it cost" question, but I've become curious since P3D V2 is having some growing pains. Will the PMDG products, once they are made available for Prepar3D, be offered for version 1.4? Some developers who have announced their intentions to release P3D offerings, are doing so only for V2, ASN comes to mind. The answer to this question will help me with graphics card choices for a new build. I would like to stay with 1.4 for now, but the card choice would have to different for V2. I will not be re-installing 1.4 if PMDG offerings will not be available for that platform.

Still honing my skills with the 777 amd love it so far. My question regards altitude crossing restrictions on STARs. It seems that the 777 comes close to meeting the restrictions but not quite. For example, if I'm on a STAR with a requirement to cross a waypoint at 11,000 feet it seems I'm usually at 11,200 feet or so. I know, close, but I like to be at exactly 11,000' feet before the waypoint. Am I doing something wrong or is there an adjustment that I'm overlooking? Thanks, Jerry Carroll FEDEX 061

Hey guys, I know some of you purists might wish to kill me for this question but I'd like to know how the 777 does at x16 time lapse? I currently fly the 737NGX and use x8 time compression for cruise (I don't fly a route, just direkt from STAR to SID). So how is the general behavior of this beauty at x16 time compression? Is it stable or has it problems to maintain the flight level like the NGX? Thanks!

So I am having an issue when I load up my 777 the panel is completely blank apart from my standby attitude indicator?? I can't start the APu or bring up the menu in the fmc to connect ground power! Suggestions? Ben McCluskey

Has anyone figured out why the landing gear are missing and the cockpit buttons will not work? I just purchased it last night and sent a trouble ticket but have not heard anything. This is a remarkable plane and I just want to get her flying.

Is it possible to enter an ARC into the T7's FMC Legs Page as described in PMDG-777-FCOMv2.pdf, page 997 (of 1266)? I've had no luck using several different methods, including the method described in the FCOM ~ ie. format 4ARCL (or 4 ARC L ?) Also, noticed a section (earlier) in the FCOM describing how to enter DME ARCs and I'd be interested to know if this FMC capability is modeled. I've not attempted this, however at some point entering a DME ARC into FMC should prove very useful. Best to all, Ken

Has the team decided which method it will utilize for refueling these aircraft? I know the NGX has the instant fueling, where we just type in how much we want, but I personally prefer the method that the MD-11 utilizes where it fuels the tanks over time rather than just popping it into the tanks.Which method do you all prefer? mitch bowman

Hello guys: I was wondering how to set sq to C mode on IVAP using the aircraft TCAS (without touching IVAP) is that possible? I tried to switch the aircraft TCAS to TA/RA but IVAPs sq still on STBY, any ideas? thanks.

I have the PMDG T7. There is a button "Map". When I click on it the button moves but I do not see what it does. Am I missing something? What does it do? Thanks Jim

I use FSBuild to build my flight plan and I upload them into my 777 FMC without any issues until today. I have used a flight KLAXKORD numerous times and when I request the flight plan and upload it I get the message shown above. I have reinstall the aircraft but get the same error message. Other flight plans has been uploaded with any issues but KORD seem to be an issue. Any help or assistance to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Quick questions for the community because I seem to be struggling with this. FMC setup, go to go there. Under 10,000ft I am disengaging the autopilot to fly my visual approach. Autothrottle seems to hold the speed well until I get on final. It doesn't seem like it is holding my VRef speed well at all. I consistently have to disengage, which results in a hard touchdown with high rate of descent because I seem to be floating it. On the MCP I have the A/T button alluminated with the speed in the MCP set at Vref+5 so around 142 or so. I am already in full landing setup with flaps at 30 and gear down. Where am I going wrong. My fustration... PMDG 777 --EGLLOMDB...4.5 hours to the flight and FSX crashes as I click a button on the PMDG... I am tired of these crashes..... HELP.... Thanks, Regis

In the future I may purchase the PMDG 777 but I have a question that will help me avoid any problems, and a waste of money if it does not work out on my system. I saw the PDMG 777 system requirements on their product page and the only thing I do know is I have a 64-bit system, the rest, I have no clue since PMDG's requirements looks different then mine. From some of the AVSIM posts I have seen, the 777 looks like it is taxing on frame rates and uses up alot of resources.
