PMDG 777

I've been looking for an easy to understand (if there is such a thing) tutorial for reading performance charts. I'm trying to calculate the minimum t/o runway length for a particular airfield, so I pulled up the 772 charts and after looking at all the lines going in every direction, I have a headache. Anyway if anyone knows of a site or source that would help me make sense of these charts i would appreciate it. Thanks!!! Richard

Hello, I am flying since 6 months with T7 and i spotted some bugs. Those bugs happend me more than two - three times. 1 - When i copy an intersection from missed approach route and paste it to LEGS page, FSX freezes, not CTD but there no way to bring it back. 2 - After 7 hours, when i am landing decided to go around, pushed TO GA button and again FSX freezes... I was just curious what addons are people using with their pmdg 777 (not counting external scenery like addon airports/ orbx etc)? [For example: weather engines, flight planning software, atc programs, other programs that deal with what is occurring on the flight deck]. What addons are you looking forward to getting for your 777 flights? Right now I am running Opus, EFB and VoxATC. With every passing day I am thinking more about getting pfpx/topcat. I am looking forward to fs2crew and the fscaptain update. Chris H

According to info I received: TOPCAT 2.74 (beta) with B777-200LR/F now available for download at www.flightsimsoft.com/downloads (no abnormal landing distances yet)

Is this an option for the 777X? Landing lights doing the wig-wag? Like in this video of the Lufthansa Cargo 777F delivery flight

Hey guys, I saw Froogalsim has camera set for the PMDG 777, I jumped on it and tried it yesterday, I noticed there's no DHM in it. then I looked in the Internet and saw that someone wrote it was on purpose... and there's good reason for it. my question is what is that reason? do you guys don't use DHM and the PMDG 777? I've been trying to find good setup with EZdok and PMDG 777 for a long time. I need your help! thanks!

Hi, I'm now flying the T7, beside the PMDG737NGX. in the 737 I usually tracked the course via the nav-Buttion on the Glareshield. In the T7 its completely different. I put the course in the NAV/RAD-Page and then? How to track the course? Which further steps I have to do, in order the T7 follows the course? I need your assistance. Toddy747

Hi, I may have found a small texture bug, I cannot rule out that its something on my end, but I think its worth it to find out if it's reproducible on another system. So: This morning I wanted to fly from BOS to FRA, so I set up the plane at the gate and started Active Sky. On this particular morning, there was heavy fog over boston (Visibility= 200m). When ActiveSky started to inject the weather, the tone of some of the textures in the overhead panel changed. It is easily visible in the attached screenshot. I would love to have jetways utilize door 2L when Im at the gate. I don't have any airport add ons so I'll be using default airports and the usual CTRL+J. Would this be something PMDG does on their end? Or is it something we'll have to figure out ourselves? Would any changes affect the which door the jetways go to on the NGX? Obviously if the jetway uses door 1L its not a big deal, I just thought I'd ask. PS, this is meant to be a post that gets a friendly discussion on THIS topic. I'm sure its probably operator error, but my last three flights have had two new issues. After loading 'short' when I go to take off I get a Master Warning of Config Stabilizer. The main problem though is after the autopilot is engaged in flight I cannot disconnect it. Weird. If I yank on the control yolk it does disconnect, but that's the only way. What am I doing wrong? Hi I need to use the pmdg777 in my glass home cockpit, I read there isno 2D panels in the aircraft. So.... is there any availablity to create 2D panels for the OH, PEDESTAL, PFD & ND. I cannot but the aircraft if I cannot use it with my glass cockpit. So please and help or advice guys !!!!! Thx

Hello, I have been trying to complete the tutorial flight, but it seems like everytime I activate the autocruise, time accelearation with the PMDG 777 feature FSX freezes. The last two flights this has happened. Its not a temporary freeze, its permanent. I cant click anything, I cant close FSX out. The only solution is to sign out of my computer thus forcing to FSX close. The times that it has happened has been when I've had the auto cruise, time acceleration feature activated. The second time it froze was almost immediately after I activated this feature. Could there be a connection? Has anyone had this problem? Joel

I am having issues getting the pred eta-alt function to work correctly. specifically the option to enter an altitude or flight level. this sppears to malfunction .sometimes no green circle appears at all on the majenta line other times it does but in a position that bears no accuracy or is even close to the point it should be and additionally this point keeps jumping forward and remains a fixed distance from the currant ac position.in other words the aircraft never reaches it. this is also confirmed on the fix page under pred where this distance remains static . Im not sure if im doing something wrong or if its a bug? tks kav

Starting from "cold and dark" in the 777, I'm following guides to the letter, once I achieve engine start then shutdown the APU - everything turns off and bells go off. I also noticed that once the engine starts I have no thrust in them as well. Is this a setting in the FMC or just something Im doing wrong? Please help. Thanks

Hi I was originally going to put this in the general part of the forum but having tried all my other PMDG products(737,747,MD11,777) the problem seems only to be with the 777. The problem is I cannot get the autothrottle system to behave normally. I have found a workaround but this messes up my 4 eng aircraft . I have a registered copy of fsuipc and have all my settings setup through that, all work normally and behave as expected. My throttles move individually with autothrottle switches engaged dependant on type, etc for taxiing, and then increase when the hotspots or N1 speed reach the desired amount, all except for my 777. The only way that can get the throttles…

First off, probably, well yes the best add on aircraft I have ever purchased! I have a weird issue and it is more than likely something I am not doing right, but I seem to have an issue when I start the descent with autopilot in vnav mode, everything seems to go great until I am about 13,000 feet. For some reason I find the 777 is always 4 to 5 k higher that the desired height I need to be at. Have seen this time and time again for some reason. It will clearly show in the FMC flight level 2700 at next VOR, but when it reaches it, I am still at 7,000, of course causing me to go around again, but wanted to know if you have seen this or am I doing something wrong?…

Hello: New the FSX and PMDG 777 so forgive me if I didn't find a older topic about this. I want to get rid of a few views when pressing A and shift+A in the PMDG 777. Is this possible and if so, how? I would like to be able to go directly to the overhead and back to the left seat and skip the FO's side and upper overhead. I know you can right click this but that is kind of annoying to have to do all the time (especially with the FSX FPS mouse bug). I would much rather have a simple button push. Thanks, Gary

Hey Guys Yesterday i bought the 777. After installation I was happy to Start a Flight. The the Displays where not Working and the Landing Gear is not visible. I have a Windows 7 64Bit system with an i3. I know not the best but the 747-400X of pmdg is working very nice. I send a Ticket in the Support but no response yet. As some of you may be aware, as of line number 1162, a Saudi Arabian -300ER HZ-AK22, the -300ER does no longer have a tailskid. I also understand FBW software was further modified. (FBW software already "helped" prevent tail strikes up to line number 1161, but would not fully prevent them ). Anyone in the know if can completely prevent them from happening now? This being a additional and rather simple weight saving measure. Just like the removal of the clocks (now located on the PFD), Any idea what PMDG is going to do? Will the -300ER have the tailskid? or will it be a selectable option.

I tried to find download location for painting for the 777 but can't find it. Can anyone give me the location? I noticed that they have painting for all their PMDG plane but none for B777. Thank you Al

Hi, I just fall for the 777, the installation went smoothly, but as soon as I run FSX with the 777, I have this kind of surprise the red background of the park brake indication and the menu bar also disappeared, after having this problem, I had a fatal, every attempt to start FSX error, I had to delete the file FSX.CFG to get to restart.
