June 14, 201214 yr If you want to fly upper deck for a lower proce, fly Air France 747-400s. Their upper decks are all economy. However, you have to pay an extra 60 to 70 Euro. You do get some few extra inches of leg room and seat reclining. Returned from LFPG to SBGL this past Sunday like this. Totally worth 60 Euro. Victor, Y U NO FLY TAM?!? Support your national airline! June 14, 201214 yr Author You have to do it for each aircraft.cfg file, so basically each aircraft variant. Open the aircraft.cfg file in a text editor (such as notepad) and search for the section beginning: [exits] For the PMDX 747-400 the code looks like this [exits] number_of_exits = 2 exit.0 = 0.4, -31.1147, -9.5702, 1.11891, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) exit.1 = 0.4, -62.2539, -9.6109, 1.1891, 0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency) The comments (after //) identify what the various numbers mean. Longitudinal, lateral and vertical offsets are in feet from the 3D model origin for each door or hatch which interacts with the scenery animations. There's also a code number to tell FSX what the door type is. Unless you know the exact measurements of the aircraft and where the model origin is (usually at or just ahead of the nose) making changes is a process of trial and error. Save the original aircraft.cfg file just in case, but it's hard to go wrong. Ok, so in order to make the jetway extend further along the fuselage (moving aft along the fuselage) would that be longitudinal or lateral? So if you were to change the numbers for exit.1 what would happen? How does it know which of the main exits or cargo door you're wnating to effect? So its something that PMDG could have preset in the aircraft.cfg file? Awesome! Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major

So its something that PMDG could have preset in the aircraft.cfg file? Awesome! To move the jetway backwards along the fuselage to the next door you would need to increase the longitudinal offset by roughly the distance between the first and second doors. But you might also have to adjust the vertical and lateral position too so the jetway docking position looks realistic. I don't know the exact meaning of the door type codes re FSX but I guess the first pax door is the main jetway animation. A second door might work with a double jetway, I'm not sure. The cargo door location is for the luggage loader animation. As I said, you need to try different options in the file and see what works. I'm not sure awesome is the word. If PMDG didn't define the exits in aircraft.cfg the jetway animations wouldn't work at all.
June 14, 201214 yr Victor, Y U NO FLY TAM?!? Support your national airline! I wish I had the money to fly TAM Pedro. Their inflight service is great, they are pretty much always on time and they finally own a couple of Boeings (and 777s at that). Unfortunately, every single time I set out to buy an airline ticket TAM manages to be at least 50% above all other airlines´ fares! I´m a patriotic Brazilian, no doubt about it. But I´m a poor patriotic Brazilian haha! Cheers,Victor M. Lima

March 30, 201412 yr The door the jetway goes to is defined by the aircraft.cfg file. Easy enough for the user to modify if required. I have changed the exit.0 to 1L and the FSX jetway is going there. However, Shift+E+2 still opens 2L when I call the cargo ground service. How to stop 2L from opening when Shift+E+2 is pressed? Harry Sung
March 30, 201412 yr Commercial Member I have changed the exit.0 to 1L and the FSX jetway is going there. However, Shift+E+2 still opens 2L when I call the cargo ground service. How to stop 2L from opening when Shift+E+2 is pressed? Why are you using those keypresses instead of the FMC DOORS page in the FS ACTIONS section? March 30, 201412 yr B/c I want to call the FSX animated ground service at the forward cargo door. Harry Sung
March 30, 201412 yr What fsx animated ground service is that your referring too, didn't think there was one that actually connected to the aircraft I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg

Will they work on the a payware plane like PMDG, I highly doubt. Been a while, but I am quite certain it won't work. @hsung Get GSX from FSDT and you are sorted, System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL.
