PMDG 777

I take off, reach cruising altitude and get a wailer/siren going off. No caution or warning lite, no EICAS message, nothing to say why it's going off. Can't reset it either. I started the flight in a running state, not cold and dark. Any ideas?? Thanks, Rob Archer

Is it possible to create a fix based on lat/lon vs. place/baring/distance? I tried NDDMM.m/EDDDMM.m with a distance but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks Kevin

Hi Since 777 came out. I had no issues flying this plane. I decided to upgrade my graphic card GTX 770 4 GB a few weeks ago it fly beautifully. Now I get a very odd problem. When I download my 777 it immediately freezes and kick me out or fsx stop working. This is what I did Re-install 777 nothing Re-install FSX. Nothing I tried my ngx it no problem but 777 it simply would not load it simply freezes in the cockpit then I get an error. I believe it has something to do with the graphic I am not sure. Any idea?

I noticed in one of the replies to an issue the reference to 3rd party developers using the SDK to create a work around or solution to the issue. Has the SDK been released? I only ask because I am very much looking forward to there being several add-ons created in support of this airliner.

Hello, My issue is that I am not getting any info on any of the PMDG 777 PFD's (gauges). I do get the graphics but no data to go with it. No numbers, fonts etc. Can anyone help. SJM

I posted this in the Avsim FSX forum but didn't get much luck, I have recently been flying my PMDG 777 and found that it is simply unplayable at the FPS I attain as opposed to what I am trying to attain. My monitor is a Samsung 22" LCD set at 60hz refresh. I can achieve 60FPS in flying situations but on the ground, 30-40 is pretty much what I see all the time, this sounds good but on my screen it looks like a slideshow, especially when it drops <30, that is when I just close the sim in frustration. I have read about the 1/2 refresh rate tweak which I guess gives smoothness at 30FPS, ideal for me, if the sim was to be smooth then running at 30 is not a problem. My p…

Dear Support, I have recently purchased the PMDG 777, it does everything as advertised and the job the PMDG Group did is amazing. My issue is that when I fly it, no matter if it is a short distance like EINN-EDDP or long distances such as RJAA-EGLL the aircraft somehow crashes my Windows 7 and I receive a Blue screen that says something to the effect of "hardware failure." The screen itself is blue with white text. When I receive this screen it does a memory dump and then I am forced to power down my Computer and when I turn it back on I have to select the "start windows normally." had this issue from the start with the 777 finally got round to a fresh re install done according to official correct pmdg procedure yet problem still persists. basically the engines wind cot off after I pull the cut off switches in the vc. the only thing that happens is the engine display appears to shut down but there is still power and sound and thrust. the only way I can get the engines to properly shut down is repeated use of control shift f1 keys and numeruous presses only will work anyone have any suggetions? tks kav

Currently I use a set of Saitek throttles to control my engines,but when I select rev thrust all works fine,but my spoilers also deploy weather I have them armed or not Is this normal or have I got a duplicate button command thanks

hi folks i am lookking for a way to calculate (ACCURATELY) the drated takeoff power for the t7. A way that will use the weather and runway info like topcat, I have the topcat wich is great but we re still wating for the update to include the pmdg t7. I think the reason that we are still wating for the update of the topcat is the SDK(i dont know what that is, just heard it from rumors. Somebody explains what that is please:) hasnt been released yet. As the t7 has huge engines when its medium loaded, i cant determine the aprox assumed temp and drate. I need help, my PMDG 777 is not showing me speeds, altitude or heading, yet it is showing me the horizon moving the altitude indicator moving but no numbers... The fmc is working fine and i have numbers on the comms and autopilot. Neither the engine instroments are showing numbers but are showing and moving, same goes for the checklist etc. I have had it working for months and for some reason it has stopped. When setting up the T7 at a gate I'm getting several issues.. First I'm getting the HYD PRESS DEM C1 & 2 messages that I'm unable to resolve. Second when starting the GSX push back I remove the wheel chocks which disconnects ground power and everything goes haywire with alarms and messages and everything shutting off. I have the APU switched on at least 10 mins before disconnecting ground power. Third I'm unable to start the engines on push back or any time thereafter. Probably related to my two previous issues. I know this is a very general question but I would like to know the range of speeds I should have before enter in Final approach fix into a ILS app. I ask this because I have a problem I have noticed recently in my last fights I have reach the FAF with 200 kts or more sometimes, so when the ILS is captured obviously the plane begin with the descent according with FP due to ILS and the speed of my 777 begins to increase sometimes beyond than 210 kts, so you might think its very dangerous enter in final app phase with so greater speed.
