Is there any chance of ACARS/Datalink functionality being implemented in the 777 or it's SDK? For example, allowing weather information to be retrieved from the web or ActiveSky. Or, allowing a VA client to hook into the FMS. This would be pretty cool. Sorry if this has been asked.

I just purchased this product via paypal and was sent a receipt from them and an email from PMDG with order #; order code; and FSX key. I clicked on the download link from the email and this is what I receive: "Error: Your request ID is incorrect. Please contact store administrator for more information." Also logging onto PMDG site doesn't show my purchase history of B777. I did buy from PMDG site. I sent a ticket but was wondering if anyone had this and solved. Thanks. Steve Ortega Figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there. Is there a list of offsets the PMDG 777 is using ? I found such a list for the 737 and it made it a lot easier for me to configure all the leds in my homecockpit. Best regards Andi

Hey fellows of this community. I have a question concerning about the correct way to startup the engines of this magnificent flying machine. More especificic I can say that I'm starting the engines using AUTOSTART option but I don´t know which percentage of N2, gives me the permission to move the fuel control lever for fuel feeding, I have read in FCOM manuals but they don´t show the step by step procedure and percentages of N2. Another question, is that correct to derate the engines for short flights until rates of 80. (this is lower rates than TO-1 or TO.-2 this gives derate about 89 or 92). Thanks in advance :unknw:

Hey guys just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It only happens when im in the PMDG 777 I can choose the plane , spawn at an airport perform preflight tests all ailerons etc are working perfectly. Then out of nowhere my joystick will completely stop functioning , i go to menu controllers and it has completely disappeared. so i can sit at the taxi way for around 5 minutes , then it all of a sudden comes back. Today i landed at OMDB perfectly and by the time i braked etc my joystick had stopped working again. I also am getting strange logs in my Virtual airline logs about the speedbrake setting and retracting every 1 second at random intervals in my f…

This problem started on my first long range flight, the plane was so normal in cruize and suddenly it made a left turn and kept turning around itself, I checked fmc for any discontinuety, checked recall and overhead, everything was normal, and after that, the master warning came out with (pilot response) warning on ECAM written twice with red and yellow. this happend also before the turn twice and I resetted them but they kept coming up. Karim.

Hi everyone I just bought the 777, but there is one issue I have had on most of my flights. This did not happen when I flew the tutorial flight, but every flight thereafter. During the climb (above 10000 feet) and cruise portion of my flight, my 777 will randomly over speed. As an example, I was flying from VECC-OMDB, and I was climbing through 14 000 feet. I was flying at 308 knots, and the red lines on the airspeed indicator were at about 325 knots. Everything was going well until suddenly, the speed popped up to 400 knots, triggering the over speed alarm, and disconnecting the autopilot. Then, just as the situation occurred, it corrected itself. This usually happ…

Hi ! Since some days, i have a CTD on all flights with this T7. Sometimes it happens after 20 mns of flight, sometimes 1 hour, but it always happen. My spec are i7 3770K 8Go RAM FSX running on SSD 256 Go I read and applies all tricks mentionned in the documentation of PMDG. I have replaced the automationcore.dll I have desactivate all my addon sceneries and fly only with the default landscape. I have also installed the procexp.exe file to survey the virtual size on the FSX process. Along the flight and when the process crashes, only 2.2 Gb of virtual space was used. Flying on windows mode. So, can't understand what is happening !! Wa…

Hi guys, I just started to use FS Global Real Weather, and I am absolutely thrilled about the new wind-feature. I have version 1.7 build 15, so I am using the t7 .rte flightplan (pmdg -file) to export winddata via flight planner option in FS GRW tool. However, I soon discovered this perfideous error I cannot bypass. It says, JIT-debug error, system string error and something else. In the end, the winds will not load into the FMC. What do I have to do to make this work guys? Thanks in advance! Peter

Hello captains, I've hit a strange issue twice since yesterday on the 777F: after advancing the throttles to 50-55% N1 and then clicking TOGA, the aircraft will automatically reject the takeoff at 80 knots, without any warning on the EICAS or no aural warning with regards of wrong takeoff config or anything like that. I'm not using service based failure of any kind nor am I using any non-normal config. Taking off with autobrakes off instead of RTO "cures" the issue. Has this happened to any of you? thank you Enrique EDIT: just a quick FYI: I'm not using any throttle hardware controllers, just the keyboard, so it's not a hardware sensibility or calibratio…

Hi guys, The 777-300 is restricted in it's cruise altitude and isn't able to climb to the altitudes of it's smaller sister the -200. Quoted from this months Airliner World: 'Even the best aicraft have some aspects of the flight envelope that aren't optimal, and when I pressed Bill he admitted that - due to the higher wing loading of the 300ER - the altitude capability is not as good as the -200's.' "With so much more weight, we are usually limited to the mid and lower - 30,000ft flight levels. That reduces your choices if the rides are bad, and there's also a lot more deviating around thunderstorms'. My questions are 1) If one was to try and simula…

Hello, I'm using a ASUS G73 JH i7 Core laptop. It can reach speeds up to 2.8 GHz. I have a pretty decent Graphics card, the ATI Mobility Radeon 5870. I'm trying to get the maximum FPS possible without compromising looks. I don't need autogen or density set to full, however, I don't want the world to look like crap as well. Any tips?

Hi Everyone, in the last 4 flight i am having this problem. Once i load the flight and insert altitude for cruise at FL390 and insert CI at 80 SID STAR and so on from whatever airport i leave i have that the first altitude is 170 knots. Th eplane climb and stop at 170K but in the climbing page there is written 250/10000 and climbing at 313 after it. In the LEG page of the FMC i read 170/FL349. I think it is pretty impossible a 777 fly at 170 knots at Fl340 since it means i have to keep flaps down till that altitude so i am forced to change the speed manually in the FMC in the leg page. THis happened leaving EFHK, same Leaving VTSP, Same leaving BIKF so it is not a costrai…

Today I departed PAFA (Fairbanks, AK) where the outside temperature was -38 F. When I loaded on the fuel the fuel temperature was -38 F. Needless to say, this is not good for taking off or any other time for that matter. Realistically, I don't think fuel delivered to an aircraft from an underground system would be that low, even in Fairbanks. Just another nit I know, but it would be nice if in the low temperatures the fuel wasn't quite that cold, say -10 F or something higher that -38 F.

Something I've been struggling with since I installed the T7 is that my Engine #1 does not complete it's stabilization during the startup procedure. At first I thought it was the throttle settings withing FSUIPC, so I followed everyone's recommendations to bypass FSUPIC and let FSX manage the throttle. I did that. No change. THEN... I was watching FROOGLE PETE's video "PMDG 777 - FULLY LOADED, KJFK to KDEN Part 1". Lo and behold... I see that his Engine 1 gets stuck temporarily in the exact same spot as mine... he even makes a comment about it when it finally "jumps" to its completed state of stabilization. See his video at exactly 28:13 when it jumps. …

Hi There, I am trying to submit a support ticket to reactivate my 777 & JetStream. I go through and fill in all the details and hit submit and then it just goes back to the submit ticket page and nothing seems to happen. I click 'Send Ticket List by Email' and it tells me I have no submitted tickets. Not sure what I am doing wrong. FYI, I am using Chrome on Windows 7 Any help would be appreciated Cheers, James
