Hi all! While flying from Helsinki to Dubai, I found the ND in a frozen state (not moving) something like I found in the PMDG B747X. It seems to make it work again, I have to get to the external view and go in the flightdeck again to see it in working order... Is this a known bug that will be fixed in the SP or is it something that didn't happen yet to anybody? Thanks for your time!

Hey guys, Been flying the t7 since it came out and just yesterday i came across my first experience of the doors being unresponsive from the fmc. I've tried all aircraft configurations. engines + systems all on/some on/none on.. I reinstalled the product. I'm out of ideas as far as fixing this problem. Haven't found many helpful threads out there. Oh and I did try the maintenance and failure controls in the fmc, no luck. Hope you can help!

I purchased the 777 recently and ever since I have been having some major CTD issues, as well as various textures. To start, I had 8.1 installed and would CTD with the 777 within seconds or minutes. That was fixed after installing Win 7 64. This problem I am having now is when I use the after about 3o minutes of nothing but CRZ, I will make an adjustment to the FMC and the whole sim will lock up. This happens less frequently than the next issue. The main issue I am dealing with occurs in different ways. If I hit left Alt, the bar will appear with no words or texture. Can someone explain or direct me to explanation of how to navigate with the VOR LOC. I have tired pressing LOC and LNAV but I a wondering if I need to put in a VOR and course or radial and hand fly with heading having selected VOR on the EFIS. Is there a way the 777 can follow the VOR LOC as in the 737NGX. Thank-you Michael

On a 777 flight, I used the FMC on the pedestal to explore the time compression feature. I clicked on one of the LSKs in that time compression menu and it crashed that FMC and the FO one (they just went black). Anyone experience this? Sorry if this has been already discussed, a cursory search didn't lead to anything. Sam Kharey

hi there was a thread earlier requesting the hobbit paint scheme either the first film or now with the doslation of smaug due out. ive looked on avsim library and can find no paint scheme with the 777 and hobbit would anyone know where i can get it or if anyone is wiling to paint if this isnt the right forum to ask this please delete thanks all

This is really strange and I could not find anything in the forum related to such an issue. 1. It happens only in long haul flights. You can see in the SS that time in flight was 8:28 hours en route EGLL-WSSS. When it happens it always happens in the last third of the flight (Time-wise). 2. The problem: The 777x "Lands" itself in an uncontrollable manner. The engine still running, everything looks good (except of the impact of the "landing" like tail strike for example). See that even the landing gear somehow drops down for landing, all by itself... How can this happen, I wonder. 3. Obviously I do not seat at the sim in such a long flights. Dear all, I have installed the 777 and it works gorgeously. What I do not understand: the Cockpit views have different Options, changing each by typing "a". But I do get only different parts of the Cockpit each time clicking the "a". There is not, like in the 737 NGX, the Cockpit view, where you have on the upper side the view to the landscape and below the (more or less) FULL Cockpit. Here I do get only the landscape in the upper side and a big black bar in the below half of the Screen. Doesn't this work on the 777 or is there a trick? Thank you for any tipps or hints, Heiner

Now that I have the PMDG 777-200 down pretty good, I want to test my skills on a full motion simulator. I just finished flying my 777 to all 50 US State Capitals in 50 days starting at Maine finishing in Hawaii's PHLN. I booked 2 hours at a Flight School in Miami who has dozens of full motion sims. The right seat is open for my two hours. If anyone want to add on to my time and take over the left seat for 1 or 2 hours let me know. just got the PMDG 777...is it normal to hear no engine startup sounds when in VC view? I hear the engines starting when on external view, but its pretty quiet when on internal view such as VC...

Just a quick question - no complaints. Why is the GPWS in the NGX a lot clearer and pronounced whereas the 777X GPWS sounds recorded in the cockpit? It may sound dumb but the NGX CAWS sounds like pure audio file unlike the 777?

Hello, Can someone please advise on how to perform manual ILS approach? :unsure: I'm exactly interested how to use PFD correctly. Should I use only horizontal and vertical G/S and LOC magenta symbols or it is somehow possible to make FD bars indicate position against glide slope and localizer radio signals? Perhaps it is possible to use FD as Directors? I tried several times and with very heavy winds I could clearly see FD is not guiding me to keep LOC and G/S symbols in their central positions. Several days ago about 9 hours into a flight from KLAX to VHHH with no time compression the PFD, ND, clock, and the compact EICAS froze. I did not check the CDU’s so I don’t know what they did. The plane continued to fly. The clouds and sea rolled by, The plane banked, flew straight, and the engines sounded normal. After about an hour I decided I had better try and see if the problem could be fixed. Right then before I started in the blink of an eye everything started to work. The clock had the right time, the plane was following VNAV and LNAV and on course. N1 was fluctuating. Everything was okay. Interesting. Never had that happen before or since. Michael Cubine
