PMDG 777

Hi. I'm using Opus en PMDG 777. Now do i understand correctly that in order to make the weather radar work in PMDG 777 i need to buy ASN? I have no intention of using ASN for the weather because i like Opus. So, in my case i only should buy ASN for a small utility or module or something, is that correct? Or are there other ways i'm not aware of to make the weather radar work in the 777?

Hello, after i've installed the SP1 for the B777, my yoke stopped working well. The problem is that before it worked well, but now, only on the ground. When i take off, it cannot be recognized by FSX and also by FSUIPC4. Is the SP1 compatible with the yoke? I read that a lot of users have that type of problem with WIN8, PMDG, and FSX. Can someone help me please? P.S. the pc recognizes the yoke, so it has not the problem

Hi guys and gals, I was flying into rpll tonight and there were some storms around. On approach the aircraft would not maintain selected mcp speed and would eventually stall. Im sure its pilot error but I cant pin point what im doing wrong. Fma was showing SPD/LOC/G/S. Asn was active. I thought it could be windshear but i never got a warning. Pls help Ash allen

Has anyone gotten auto step climbs to work since upgrading to SP1? My ND shows S/C and VNAV approaches the step point but it seems to never get there. I seem to be perpetually at least 1 nm from start climb.

Hello, SP1 and the edition of the new 300ER variant have reignited my enthusiasm for the T7 range - Great job PMDG! I generally use Aivliasoft's excellent EFB for route planing and Topcat for performance planning, but Topcat has no profile for the 300ER and having followed their support forum, I'm not confident that this is going to change any time soon, and owing to the complicated nature of the beast, I'm clearly not able to create my own! Are there any other options out there? Of course, I can just go with guesswork regarding fuel and cargo weights/fuel/takeoff performance etc but much of the fun comes from a proper preflight planning session (for me anyway…

Hi I think the trim reference speed work as it should, but i'm having an issue with the autotrim though. yesterday i was performing a standard ILSZ APP at FMEE after caturing the GS and stabilise at the VREF 20 speed ( approx 160 kts) I disengage the AP. I then select Vapp= 148 on the MCP and select flaps 30, I use the trim, when i was close to Vapp I double clicked on the trim so that the blip trim goes into action, so the trim reference speed was at Vapp. I then pitch up to maintain the flight path, the AT increase the engine N1 to maintain the speed but when I released the yoke the flight path wasn't maintained, the ptich was slightly dropping. I downloaded the sp1 and 773 and both do not have any sounds from the switches in the cockpit, warning signals, V1 V2, or any other sound, with the exception of the engines. I checked everything in the FMC and all sounds that apply was on and turned up to its max. Please help me resolve this issue ASAP! Thank you much! Cheers!

In putting the SP1 to a test of my own, I just completed a flight from Lisbon (LPPT) to Apia Solomon Islands (NSFA); just over 9600 NM. With full fuel I had 21.2 lbs. left. Flew (with Radar Contact ATC) the Atlantic, North America, Mexico, Pacific, chasing the sun, with some heavy storms en route courtesy of Active Sky Next. The new weather radar did its job. The newer wind upload feature is a real treat. Not one problem with the flight ( I do have the service based failures enabled). Hand flying is a joy. Now its time to get sleep. Thank you PMDG, Hi Fi Simulations, and JDT LLC for a truly awesome FSX flight simulation experience on my PC!

We were given a new 22KHz soundset to test that you will be able to enable in the Operations Center. I finished testing it and I did notice a 3-4% decrease in total VAS usage on two identical flights. Keep in mind my system never experiences OOM or VAS errors because I've tuned FSX correctly according to my hardware, but even so I did see a difference. Simmers with lower end hardware that frequently experience these types of issues should see a much more noticeable difference. There is a slightly noticeable difference between the quality of the stock and 22KHz soundsets. At a lower bitrate the 22KHz set has a more tinny, higher pitched effect on all the sounds. …

Hi, I hope there is someone who could explain this too me. I did several take offs with a takeoff weight at about 300t with flaps set to 15 and a derated thrust setting with the 300ER. Depending on balance FMC gave me a Trim setting of 6.5 - 7.0 When hitting Vr I didn't need too much input tu pull the nose up! As soon as the nose gear lifts up I do not need any input in the controls achieve my climb out angle. But from then on the nose wants to rise, rise and even rise. To compensate this I need to push the yoke forward quite a lot and I tried to trim her back to release some yoke pressure. Heres a video of a take off from a guy, who seems to have quite the same…

Ok folks, here's what has kept me awake for 2 days in a row. :Hypnotized: First let me start by saying that this is not a pirate copy of he product. Any help will be grately appreciated. 1.- Everytime I select the aircraft I get the activation code prompt but then after the activation is succesful I get it again and again. I have the Saitek X52 Pro everything was working well until the approach phase. just the POV was working and all other functions no. and I checked the controller is enabled in FSX I used it for take off and everything I this a known issue? help would be appreciated thank you. this only happens with sp1 and 777-300 anyone faced this issue ? thank you

I do have ASN and loaded the flight plan and uploaded the datalink and exported also from pfpx (linked to FSX the weather to the WX folder) I loaded the weather into FMC and tried every single possibility (auto, Manual gain, WX, WX +T) but nothing on the screen your help would be appreciated

PMDG, I know customers usually post in the forums after their first flight with a new product such as the new T7 300ER, saying how lovely it is. How right they are! Hi Just bought the -300 ER today and made a test fligh few hours ago. I was preparing an etops flight. During the preflight at the begiining I didn't have FPS issue but before I could finish the preflight, the FPS drop to 6 FPS and I don't know why having 25-29 fps ( lock at 30). I ended up the flight and relaod with the 200LR at the same airport and same weather condition, same thing no FPS issue at the beginning, at at the got 6-8 FPS ??? Hi When is best to use the Terrain showing on ND ? Or does it depend on your flight. I've noticed you can't have both Terrain & WX showing on ND at sametime.

Hi I flew the PMDG777 from Los Angeles to San Francisco to test it out but I noticed that I could not enter the amount of flaps or the speed for the approach. Consequently I still did an auto land but with a flare so I was wondering if say Flaps40/140 is actually programmable or is there something in the FMC options that I need to set up?

Hi Guys, I'm just after clarification but have I read / seen on the forum somewhere that the Weather radar only works on new 777-300 and not for the B77F and B77L. Updating weather forecast! First, using PFPX to make flight plan, load sheets etc and WX file. (using ASN weather engine/ASN running ofc) Load flight plan in fsx. Within the 777/300 load/request flight plan works great. Load WX all works great. DES page load forecast, again all works great. Now…. Without going outside FSX/Alt tab etc is it possible to get current up to date weather without making a new WX file with PFPX. It would be very nice before TOD to be able to request the “current” forecast for the DES page. Is this possible? A very long wait but the 300 and SP1 is stunning. Love hand flying the jumbo 172

Hello everybody, I have an important problem because I cannot finish my flights with the 777-300ER (and the 200LR of course) I start the flight without any problem but after around 2-3 hours my FSX crash and ASN too with the "ASN cannot control ambiant weather..." message. I have this message (and the FS crash) also when I request the Altn Wx in the FMC I had update my register FSUIPC version to the lastest version and nothong better Does anyone have an idea ? Beacause I can't fly this aircraft and its weather radar... It's very frustating ! Sorry for my English Erwan
