PMDG 777

I have encountered (most likely) a bug related to altitude today while on ILS final approach: The aircraft was near the IAF. The A/P modes are SPD, LOC and FPA, with G/S mode armed. The FPA is set to descend to 3000, where I wish to capture the G/S for auto land. Unfortunately the aircraft was still slightly above when it pass 3000. Then I set the target altitude to 0 on the MCP and instinctively press the altitude nob. The aircraft was at around 2940 at this time. Note that VNAV is neither engaged nor armed. HI, I have installed SP1 as per the basic guide provided here in the forum. However, while I was preparing for a flight on ground , I requested for the winds data on the FMC and it was displayed as it supposed too , however 2 minutes after that and FSX have crashed. below are the error log My nvidia drivers have been updated to it's latest version , other sim addons are working fine and 777X itself was fine before I run SP1. Hello, All of you are aware of the FPS drop issue when moving the camera around inside the PMDG T7 VC. I have noticed that when i move the camera (pressing the mouse wheel using EZDOK), the PFD zoom lens shows up and starts flickering as long as i'm moving the camera around, even when the mouse is not over the PFD. when that happens, the FPS drops 5-7 frames. i don't know if i were able to explain the issue, try it out and keep an eye on the edge of your screens when you move the camera, you must see the lens. i believe this is a bug that has to be fixed, Until then, is there any method to disable the PFD zoom function ?

I would like to know how much the tutorial flight teaches you about flying the 777. I want something that basically replicates what real world pilots would do when flying the 777. Is that the the tutorial offers. If not what does.

Hello People, Has anyone experienced this issue.... In the PMDG 777-300, when flying through bad weather (WRX+T), flying inside the pink-ish areas, you could at 300 KTS and suddenly lots of expected turbulences but the speed is dropping dramatically to stall limits....on Autopilot. I had to disengage the autopilot and try get around the situation. Is this normal ? To reproduce, ASN, search for area with rain, place the plane on runway and take off (autopilot engaged) fly throught the bad weather... Thanks, Regis Biassala

Hello simmers, I have at each flight the "L &R Util Load Shed" during all the flight on ELEC EFIS display I know the load shed is managed by the ELMS (Electrical load management system) of T7. On my plane I have failure activated but no item failed. Maybe PMDG developers have an idea of my "failure" rgdrs! marc

I have found that on AIR diagram there is no front cargo hold, only aft and bulk are there. I have seen on one movie that front cargo hold is also present on AIR diagram. Correct me if I am wrong.

Is it possible to release 777-300ER download but without the SP1 requirement? I really like the the 777-300ER, but it's unflyable due to the 8x or 16x time acceleration issue.

Hello! Let me start by saying that I just LOVE the new 777-300. I just have one question tho, the wing textures are very blurry, and poorly painted. If i look at the -200LR the wing textures are very crisp and super HD. Any reason for the change? Thanks!!! -Jeremy Miller

Hi PMDG, I just have a screen freezing incident on the PMDG B777-300ER when trying to fly from Singapore to Melbourne. Is there any fixes for this? For me this started once I engaged the time compression. Just out of frustration, I have had not a single good flight with the PMDG SP1 since its release on sat. I thought that 10 months for development of the SP1 will release a less buggy flight experience. Hope anyone out there has a fix to the screen freezing problem(I only have this problem now once I installed the SP1) Regards, Ronald

Hi guys, does anyone else experince something like this when ending a flight with any 777 Sp1? The main menu moved into the right lower corner. I am having this since installing SP1 and flying a leg for some hours.

I think I am missing something somewhere. I am able to request a route through datalink but that is all. I cannot request on the perf init page, the wind data in the legs page and even the descent forecast page. They all just say request sent but nothing ever happens. I have ASN and I have it set up to auto read plans and create the wx file. It worked fine before sp1 but now with the datalink I don't know whats wrong. never mind. Just saw something on the route page

I was monitoring my VAS usage amid some freezing issues. From what I observed, the 777-300ER take up between 800-900MB, does that sound about right?

When I am the VC, I always like to have the virtual yoke in the centre position of the screen. When I yaw or roll the plane however, the camera pans to the direction of the motion, and when the plane fly on course again, the camera stays in it's new position, that means the virtual yoke is either to the left or to the right of the screen and doesn't return to the centre. I have tried both enabling or disabling EZdok, the problem still exist. I've also tried with the AXE but doesn't have this issue. Anyone have the same problem or have a fix? Cheers in advance.

The 300ER doesn't allow to enter Transition Level on descent forecast page as level only as an alttitude. 77L does it correct. Anyone else had noticed this?

Hi I made a new profile for the 777-300 for PFPX. But does anybody know the correct weights to put in? And how to distribute the cargo weights as PFPX gives a total cargo but the fmc in the 777 has divided cargo.

I have been going over the B777 flight crew training manual, but I can't find how you active and de-activate the Wx radar beam. Is this automatic, like is this connected to the squad switches? Having the radar beam on at the gate is not a good idea. Willem

I seem to have unearthed an issue with the 300ER. On rotation as I pitch up all of a sudden it freezes suddenly and my nose wheel is on the ground again. From here I can then pitch up and take off normally. At first I thought it may have been a tail strike however I've got nothing on the CDU to indicate a tail strike has occurred. The 200 doesn't exhibit this behavior so I think it may be related only to the 300.

Hi everyone i am very puzzle right now with this problem i have encounter . When ever i start 777-300 at any default airport i get 6 FPS inside the VC . I fallow the uninstall guide in the manual. An the strange thing is that when ever i reinstall 777-200 Base + SP1 & 777-300 my FPS would increase to 20 inside the VC which is normal to me. I loaded TrackIR everything seem fine , FPS seem to be stable . I then went ahead an install FS Captain an back to 6FPS we go again. I don't know if FS Captain has any issue or is it something else. I am running ASN + TrackIR +OPUS DHM TrackIR Only. Any Suggestion please help

Is this FMC setting modeled? Couldn't find anything helpful in the documents and haven't figured out how to set "WET" instead of "DRY". FMC will accept a "U" or "D" slope setting (understanding that this isn't very useful in FSX ~ but can't get it to accept a Rwy condition setting other that the default (DRY). Thanks, Ken

Hi, In the NGX changing altitude on LEGS Page is rather easy but not in the T7. It was the same before SP1 so i dont understand why i cant change a specific waypoint from FL340 to for instance FL350 ? I thought it has something to do with my MAX FL but it says 351. Also Step To (FL360) does not work as in the NGX so what should i do ? Change the CRZ ALT on page 2/3 in the CRZ Page ? This is not very proactive (forth planning) Michael
