PMDG 777

To start off, this is a problem I've had since the 77LR. Now that I've downloaded SP1 and the 77W, I am seeing the same problem. I am seeing blocky patterns and streaks across my black cockpit displays, dashboards, and wings and it's driving me insane! They are present in both daytime and nighttime, but are exponentially more visible during night flights (the patterns become worse as I turn on dashboard lights). I am starting to think that this is a shading/light setting issue as landing lights on the ground also creates odd colors and textures. (Sorry for my poor English) I just updated my PMDG 777 and I think I have to read some changelog and new features. Are there any new PDF files? If so, Where can I find these? I wanna read about controlling weather radar and some new options connect with ASN. Anyway my radar works but it shows only 20 miles.. Do I have to change some options of ASN? The clouds depiction range option of ASN is now 60 miles.. So the radar must works to the 60 miles. but only 20 miles.. it's strange...

Hi guys, before the sp1 and -300ER, When i choose and ILS RW approach on the FMC it automatically placed the ILS frequency. Now, even if i choose ILS RW it still set it like visual approach RW.... Cant even see the ILS frequency on the approach ref page.... Assistance please... thanks in advance, Jonathan

Hi guys , the last days i m having a lot of poblems with OOM , i, i couldn;t complete a flight longer then 5 hours . i made a test setting for myself trying to find out what whas causing it because i never had any problems with OOM before , even when i had lot of heavy scenerys installed , ASN , megascenery FTX scenery .All my sliders were to the right except or autogen wich was set at normal /This was before sp1 and the 773 came out . When the SP1 and 773 came out,i immediately downloaded them and installed them over the 777RTM , and never had problems , made some very long flights with the 777-300ER , OMDB KIAH OMDB and NAZZ KLAX NZAA , LTBA KIAH LTBA , …

Well here's a new one for you guys! I didn't have this problem with the 777LR prior to the SP1/300ER, but now, I am constantly having my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick disconnect on me while on the ground. I am using FSDT's KLAX, Squawkbox, and of course, the PMDG 777 series. The joystick always works at first, but quite often, during my pushback or at some point of my initial cockpit set up, the joystick will disconnect and will refuse to reconnect. I have already tried turning off all the USB power saving options, and the problem persists. Thanks!

Hi. Just want to tell that my first flight with the 77L was amazing. A relative short flight between Copenhagen and London. The new fbw and autopilot makes this a dream. The smoothneeth and performance in general is the best ever seen. I used FTX Global with openlc EU. Vector and FTX region England and UK2000EGLL and the new brilliant FSX Fiber version 1.2 and never was lower than 22fps and smooth as never seen before. The weather radar was top notch via network. Only Q for now is the trim reference speed. Should it be displayet when the autopilot is engaged? I only se it when autopilot is off. Great job PMDG Thanks Michael

I've been doing heavy tests lately as I've been hit with OOM errors using the 300ER much more often than with the 200LR. I've been testing with both DX10 (using Steve's DX10 Switcher 8x CSAA+4xSGSS) and DX9 (8xQS + 4xSGSS). I have LOD at 6.5, texture max load at 1024, REX textures at 1024 & DXT5, Autogen Normal, Water Low 2.x and Scenery Complexity at Extremely Dense. Addons in use are: ActiveSky Next, SceneryTech Landclass (all regions), UTX USA/Europe/TAC, ORBX FXT Global (I do have some ORBX regions, but I turn them off otherwise I can rarely finish a flight in the T7), GSX, FSUIPC and FSCaptain. Before the 777-200 SP1 I would get the Pause (about 1 min in length and at random times, random flights) and only when I ran REX Wx Engine. I stopped running real time wx through REX and the pauses went away. I would also get CTD randomly but only when I crossed from one continent to another (North America to Europe). I was also running FTX Global as an add on. So prior to SP1 I would NOT run REX Real Time Wx and I would stay in one continent during flights. During this issue free flights, my system was overclocked and stable at 3.8 (Prime, OCCT, Memtest etc). I never experienced OOM but this is not to say the CTD's weren't related. Post 777-200SP1. So I finally jumped in and purchased a shiny new 777 for my Air Canada Fleet Just wondering if anyone has got the saitek multi panel & switch panel working. I had them working perfectly with my 737NGX. With the 777 only my radio panel seems to have any functionality. Hi, lately on my flights there´s been an issue that drives me crazy: on the FMC, the estimated fuel for the arrival airport is always going down, it never stops to decrease. This only happens on the SP1 though. I do exactly the same things that I used to do before the SP1 came out. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi guys , the title says it all , just finished reinstalling windows 7 ,fsx , and only the 777, Taking off the plane is Climbing at 320 knots with 6100 fpm. i used a 51 to1 setting and climb 2 while having 174000 lbs fuel on board and zfw 440000 lbs .. leveling off at 34000 and the mach speed stays at .46. I have ias set in the conf screen from fsx and i think i must be overlooking something simple but getting a little frustrated at this moment , never had any problems with this plane never oom flew OMDB KIAH OMDB without restarting fsx in KIAH never had problems until Thursday when suddenly oom after a 2 hours into flight above the atlantic... Hi guys, I am currently overseas and I can't wait to get home and install SP1 and to buy the 300ER! Anyways, since an accurate WXR is such a new thing to FSX, I thought it'd be nice to have one post that contains screen shots of the WXR-2100 in action! I've only had enough time to try one flight with the 777 since the SP1 was released, and it didn't go well. I read the two freeze conditions mention in Robert's post, and I've experienced one similar to #2 - but with an additional problem. Shortly after reaching cruise altitude, the plane was flying along nicely with LNAV/VNAV engaged, and all of a sudden all of the displays froze while the plane continued banking left and right - essentially oscillating back and forth through the programmed course. I have SP1 installed but forget to delete the old panel states. By accident I loaded an old panel state then exited the sim. Could any permanent damage come from loading an old panel state by accident? My guess would be no but I would like to make sure. Thanks for any help. -Jonathan Bass

So I have created a ticket with PMDG regarding this issue and we have yet to identify the culprit behind the scenes. The problem I am having is that every time I press the "TEST" button on the "WXRDR" pedestial (SHIFT+7) I have get CTD. EVERY time. To sum it up, I have tried different liveries, used both, 2D pop up and in the VC button. As a last resort, a clean install of the 773. Support staff states that they do not have any reports of this button causing any issues for anyone else. I was wondering if I can have some of you try this out and report back on the status of the outcome for you. Any help would be appreciated.

I am very frustrated with my PMDG 777-300 download. I have done everything according to the manual: settings on ADVANCED ANIMATION, HIGHMEMFIX=1, SCREEN RESOLUTION 1024*768*32 and the plane is still a skeleton. I have no problems with the PMDG 737-800 or the PMDG 777-200, so why with the 300? Because after the 300 download, the 777-200 are automatically eliminated and right now I have no 777 plane to fly. Guys, hats off to PMDG for sure on this one! Suffered a R engine fire at 3500ft on takeoff, as I was scrambling to find the QRH on my tablet, I remembered the non-normal ECL... As soon as I clicked CHKL, I was on the right page, with everything that got automatically checked as I performed the actions, and before I knew it, I was leveled at 6000ft with the fire out. My single Saitek quadrant brought only the R lever to idle, and it handled extremely well when I hand flew the approach back to the airport. Windows7 home premium 64-bit with 8GB RAM and i7-2675qm and HD6750M. I have been trying long haul flights for three days and for each single flight I got a message saying my computer has ran out of available memory after about 8 hours' journey.I swear I had never encountered such problem before I installed SP1 with exactly the same route and the same settings of scenery, graphic, traffic, and everything. Even extending virtual memory cannot solve this problem. Is there any way to save me? Please help. Ken

I would like to say thx to RSR , the dev team and the beta testers. This product is great!! I have some things I would like to note... 1) I hear some people are still having oom problems or they have gotten worse with the t7. On my moderate system before sp1, I would be very careful not to go to spot view as it would drain a whole lot of my vas memory. Since sp1, it has been greatly under control and the impact is not as harsh. BTW I use dx10 fixer and over time it recovers lost vas during my flights. 2)Ive noticed the the -200 now has less tendency to rocket/overspeed during initial climb thx to the new fbw system.
