I'm hoping that they make the sky blue and that you can actually simulate flight over a group of beautiful tropical islands (something like Hawaii- imagine that!) in one of the included aircraft. That would be so cool! But who knows???What you you guys think?

The previous edition (Sept-Oct No 75) had next to nothing about Flight. So I assumed this new edition (Nov-Dec No76) would deliver something of what they promised. I thought they promised a regular series of articles / information up to the actual release. Is Microsoft keeping them as starved as us or is there really something untoward going on ?

Dead grey world: The car park is empty, there are no vehicles on the roads and of course there are no people. I don't wish this thread to explode into a debate about Flight turning into a world simulator, for performance reasons this can't happen. But since the latest news update hints at a mission carrying passengers do we think the car lots and passenger terminals at these newly designed beautiful airports will fill up even more so than FSX?. Assuming Flight software is being designed for the wonders of multiple cores I wonder if we shall finally see passengers boarding the plane in this release now that CPU loads can handle it? We should at least assume that Microsoft…

Evening all, Whilst my memory isn't perfect, it looks like a small line has been added to the Flight FAQ which has not been there previously. Hopefully it will put a few minds at rest. The Q&A is below, and the 'new' line is highlighted; "Q. How does “Microsoft Flight” differ from “Flight Simulator?” Why the new name? What’s changed? A. With “Microsoft Flight” we’re approaching the virtual flight genre from the ground up, with the focus on the universal appeal of the experience of Flight. We believe the simplicity of “Microsoft Flight” perfectly captures that vision while welcoming the millions of existing Flight Simulator fans. The new “Microsoft Flight” retains the …

Haven't been really into the flight sim hobby for years now.. well actually since FSX came out and my old school computer unable to run it! Plus being a commercial pilot, and living in a real simulator daily instructing doesnt make me wanna fly another sim at home! LOLSooo with winter coming up, and a new computer to finally be built.. maybe I'll dip back in on the occasion... but the question like my topic says.. is there going to be any support for PFC equipment... if not, I guess FSX will finally get installed!

Hello.Reading a lot of topics along in this forumDo you not have anything else to do in your life, like go to work or do something useful? I have been a member of Avsim since 1998, and in present time, I see a lot of people conspire a possible solution of the MS flight. Whats the point??Ms flight is released when it is ready, if it will be ready.. if it will be, who knows.MS flight is just a wish in this forum. I know that a Member of Avsim is not a must, and I can log off anythime, but I wish as a member that the moderaters at Avsim could do better than starting a topic folder call Ms.flight released when? from the beginning. I`ve had enought of this.Best regards.Lars Pe…

I was going to ask if there was any information on the compatibility of existing addons to FSX. While some may not be needed others remain a possible "must" for some people. However, after reading a message from Orbx in another set of messages, right now it seems that compatibility is totally unknown. I am reluctant to spend another $100US on some things I had my eye on for FSX just to extend its enjoyment factor a bit longer. Those purchases really do not make sense if December 2011 brings a strong flying Game (simulator) to the market.with either no need for some addons or no way to use them. This remains a significant mystery element that undoubtedly could be answered …

First it was FSDeveloper that closed their Flight forum because of speculation. Now it is the Orbx FTX Flight forum that Orbx CEO John Venema has announced is being closed (at least for now). I guess speculation just doesn't cut it on most forums. http://www.orbxsyste...-forum-closure/

I have two more news (not confirmed!): 1. - On this page, you can see a new cover, a prize of ca. 32€ and a not-confirmed release-date: 30th November 2011...serious, I don't know?! 2. - In the German Flight!-forum (a big magazine) the head editor wrote casually, that not only Hawaii is encluded in MS Flight. According to his own statements, he's in contact with MS Flight... Kindly regards,Christopher

I don't really care if it does. In fact, it would be a waste of resources IMO.But as long as we're speculating... I wonder if the vintage aircraft will have rotary phones? And what about kites?

Good afternoon everyone, I have been a long time developer for FSX and FS2004. I have felt the need to sign up anonymously in order to protect myself from the consequences of breaching the NDA regarding Microsoft Flight. If Microsoft found out it was me giving you this information, Bill Gates will come to my house, strap me to a chair, and tickle me until I breathe no more. I can confirm that Microsoft Flight is now a dinosaur simulator. The Flight aspect is in fact slightly misleading, as the only dinosaur in the game with any ability to fly is the pterodactyl. The change has been very subtle, and several developers are still working on the project, having failed to rea…
