I've been to the Aerosoft forums and can't find any mention of their flight simulator project. Has anybody heard anything about its status? Has it been officially abandoned?

Recently I noticed that displayed on the top on the screen (Windows) is the following -Microsoft Flight Simulator X with WideServer waiting for clientsI haven't noticed this before and it seems to indicate that my FSX session is acting as a server.I tried 'goggling' and could not find anything.Could someone please explain what this means? What have I done?Thanks

Hi all.I was not to sure where to put this post so i thought ill give it a go here......Im asking for help with FSbuild and getting wind data into a built flight plan.I have read and watched the tutorial about activating winds into fsbuild but i cant get to workIm running FSbuild and active sky X and ive set active sky in Fsbuild as it shows in tutorial but when i create a flight plan i still get no winds in the build.Any ideas anyone. It seems to me that FSbuild my end is not set properly to accept active sky x although i cant figue out why. Why don't you gander over to the X-Plane forum, look at the thread I started called "Screenshot/Video request" and take a look at the Las Vegas video. It was the most uninspiring thing I've seen to date, just a horrible representation of a city that is suppose to be in the "Desert". Flight will be miles ahead of XP10, mark my word.

I was really, really disappointed when first downloaded and played with XP-10. The UI sucks, the default aircraft are horrific and I couldn't get joystick hat switch to work correctly. I was about ready to hit delete go back to FSX circa 2006. Well I finally figured out how to program the joystick ! I bought the Carenado Bonanza to test out on XP-10 and I played with the rendering options.Wow am I impressed now ! It looks spectacular with some of the sliders maxed out !And it's only going to get better with time !I think I might be deleting FSX come Dec !So my point is give it another shot with a payware aircraft !

My dream has always been have a Microsoft World where we can drive, fly, play golf, ride trains,. Microsoft has all the elements to accomplish this. I see in my dream that could be accomplished in the console Xbox environment. It has the power to do it and do not forget Kinect in all this also Just imagine flying to JFk, driving or taking a subway to Liberty Memorial GC, enjoying a round of golf and reversing the process all in the same day...lol
