I'm running P3Dv3.2 and I've still using the Nvidia driver 361.43, dated back to Dec. 21, 2015. I have not updated yet to any more recent driver because I read that 364.XX series were causing "trouble" to a certain amount of users. Just want to know if someone have tried any new or one of the more recent drivers on his own and want to share his experience?. Thanks, Ed

Hello folks, I will be coming onboard the P3D simulation train, due to recent personal events I won't be able to get into it for a few months, however in the meantime I have a system that I plan on using, and being on a limited budget can't really buy a whole new system at the moment. My system in question is: Windows 7 64 bit Intel I5 650 3.2ghz.......I would consider putting in a Intel I7 880 but would rather not as I'm not too computer literate to start pulling out CPUs etc. 8 gb of ram nvidia GTX 660 2gb card That's pretty much the only system components I'm worried about in running this sim. Hi all, I'm noticing that my Alabeo DA-40 is costing 5-10 fps vs. the default Bonanza... Can anyone recommend any GA add-on aircraft builders whose aircraft don't take such a toll? thanks, Andrew

Hi, Yesterday I set the affinity mask in P3D config to 85 (i7 6700K, HT enabled, Windows 10 X64) Never done it before and probably will never do it again... I fired up P3D and did a flight from EHAM to LSGG. Already at EHAM I had a strange issue. For no reason at all, the spot view automatically opened each 2 minutes or so. Also I had no trim up, only trim down (set through FSUIPC). This had worked for many years, all of a sudden it was broken. Finally the AP of PMDG had erratic behaviour. Hi Guys! I tried to research a bit on the REX support forum but I got completely lost with the hotfixes and different updates and integrations. I bought REX TD4 a long time ago, when it was released, and then Soft Clouds, when it was released. I would now like to uninstall it and reinstall it all over again to make sure I have the latest versions and start from scratch. Having said that, maybe you guys can help and we can keep this post here for future reference? 1) How do you uninstall REX correctly? 2) What files do I download from FlightSimStore? Has anyone experienced Rex 4 not injecting textures into the sim after a fresh P3Dv3.2 download? I have ASN also and it works fine, just no textures from Rex. I have contacted Rex for help and I know they will get back to me soon. Just wonder if anyone ever had this problem and what fixed it for you? Thanks

Well now that I have moving AI Traffic provided by UT2 in P3D V 3.2 my sim is crashing This didnt happen when I got UT2 in installed but they wouldnt move - they are now and aircraft was flying by in distance and bam crash - this happened many times My error message from event viewer stated ai_player.dll error After some investigation this is a common problem I did not know existed - seems to be a problem with older models and many posts on this - fsdt - fsuipc forums etc. So any suggestions if there is a fix for this as the comments I have seen point to not using it - thanks This is a bare bones new OS and P3D install

Hi, I must admit i never have been that impressed with water in my P3D experience regardless what settings i use . Now that both KFHR and CYSE is out i desided to do a KFHR-CYVR-CYSE trip in my A2A Comanche 250 and it really was a nice trip . What i did notice was that the terrain was not that sharp even with LOD maxed out - And water looked odd and with very small differences between medium-high and ultra settings. (looks blurry and bad from some angles) My SLI setup is 2 X GTX970 and it goes into P2 state when using Ultra water settings. It hurt performance a bit. ASN5921 and SGSS is still a no go for me with Latest REX update . CYVR area is taking b…

Latest on Updates. We would like to inform you that we have completed an update for the 737. Please be aware, however, that there are still compatibility issues with Prepar3D version 3.2; using the autopilot in that version of Prepar3D will cause a CTD. Please note that this is due to an issue within the simulator itself. We have approached Lockheed Martin to request a fix, but it hasn't been responded to yet. We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.

So I upgraded to P3D v3 from 2.5, and unfortunately it's broken. http://imgur.com/a/9TziU The first image is with Tesselation enabled. Note: Blurry textures Light, black triangle on the ground and further black lines in the distance, faint black line roughly following the contour of the road. These faint black lines fade in and out depending on viewing angle and elevation and seem to appear especially around roads and other vector objects. Second image with tesselation disabled: sharper textures, no visual artifacts. GTX 970, driver 364.72 Is it a driver issue, or were the P3D beta testers not paying attention again?

Hi, I was thinking about installing these for North America as there are over 300 Airports but I do not own Global. One of the airports is KVNY in Southern Cal which I have that REGION installed. I was curious if these airports which fall into an Orbx Region will install and blend correctly. Anyone done this yet? Thanks Bob

As usual apologies if it has been explained somewhere else but after one hour of searching I gave up. I set up a new Win10 computer, reinstalled Prepar3d 3.2 and now the UTX USA V2 installer doesn't find any simulator installation anymore. All related fields are blank. I can manually enter an installation path but the installer won't work with it. Any idea which registry entry the UTX installer is looking for? Thanks Hans

Hi, I'm trying to use nvidia dsr settings for p3d, I seem to be able to get it right in fsx but when i choose a higher res in the p3d settings, cilck on alt, enter and back again the writing and cursor become bigger and not smaller, is this right? it doesn't seem to work or more to the fact I'm doing something wrong, I thought that fonts become smaller not larger, so can anybody help me out please to get it to work. After I updated to NVidia's 364.72 driver (Win 10_64) the settings in my P3D profile were reset to default. Unfortunately I cannot remember which entries were recommended in this profile for better/smoother performance and/or anti-alias settings. Can any of you be so kind and refresh my memory wrt these settings, please? Thanks, Hans EDIT: Please ignore, I found the settings again.

I started to get blurries, in going anything over the stock LOD of 6.5. The higher I went..the worse the total rendering was. I went back to the stock 6.5, and got crystal clear once more. So, if you do have blurred textures, might you be running a higher LOD than what the sim is designed for? I'm keeping mine at 6.5, because I had always set FSX from it's stock 4.5, to 6.5 anyways...and was quite happy with the result. Hope this helps, Ses

OMG, I finally got everything working smoothly. Took off from KSFO heading nowhere in particular. The outside night lighting, and of course the cockpit of the Lancair, just beautiful. I decided to just fly and get lost and use the 750 to find me an airport. Such a pleasure with being able to just click and get all the info you need. Found a small airport, landed (beautiful landing lights by the way in the lancair parked, locked her up and now eating a bowl of cocoa krispies. 28-30 frames all the way, smooth, commercial traffic at 20%, GA at 40%. Hey all. I have P3D Pro and was wondering if 'Academic' payware aircraft work with it? An example is the A2A T-6 Texan. I see there is a Academic and Pro version, with the Pro version being about $40 more. Wasn't sure if one could just buy the Academic one if they use P3D Pro or if they have to pay the extra cash for the 'Pro' version. Thanks for any info!

My first Sim was FSX, but after a few thousand hours lost it to hard drive failure. I've been hooked on XP10 for the past 3 years and want to spice up my flight Sim experience a bit. XP's flight model is amazing but there are quite a few things to be desired, mainly graphics. I think I'll go for P3D v3, which is why I'm posting here. I have been weighing the pros and cons between it and FSX. But again, I'm definitely leaning towards P3D. The good: 1. Overall graphics performance is higher than FSX but has a much higher graphics "ceiling" so to speak. 2. Simple aircraft and other add-ons made for FSX will work in P3D. Hey guys, so here's the thing. I was doing a night flight with PMDG 777 and suddenly I notice that flood light was on but I had no overhead lights like in the picture. I thought was just a temporary error, but was the same thing all the time. The funny thing I thought was just a problem with PMDG 777, but I realized that the PMDG 737 and Aerosoft Airbus X was the same thing, no flood lights on overhead. I tought was a error with FSFX but I uninstalled and the problem is still there. I've searched on google, of course, but nothing came out.
