Hi folks, Haven't posted in a very long time. Was wanting to know is it normal for my CPU usage to hit 65-75% usage on the loading of a flight? I have a 4790K 4.4ghz, an EVGA GTX 970 For The Win. I used the affinity mask setting to only run p3d on 3 cores and I have been putting up with blurry ground textures. I believe P3D is still very CPU intensive and I'm reading the usage of the 4 cores from Realtemp when loading into a flight. Can anyone help me with some settings I should try especially to remove blurry ground textures. Thanks

hello, after installing Tegel X I recognized that I have zero AI-traffic there. I've seen that in all three Berlin-ports (EDDB, EDDI and EDDT) there is no AI-traffic at all. Only cars on the roads. In other airports traffic is well to be seen. I 've installed ORBX base, openLC, vector, Megaairport Berlin-Brandenburg, Tegel X, Simmershome airports surrounding Berlin. But even without all of these (stock using) there is no traffic here. There must be a responsible file for AI-traffic Berlin which seems to be excluded. I dond't like to install the whole sim again because I don't even know the reason why and so will be possible to put the error into the new installation a…

While we await the release of Amsterdam by FlyTampa, are there any recommendations for usable scenery in P3Dv3.2? Edit: I'll give NL2000 a go.

I have just recently installed P3D v3.2. So far the only add-ons that I have installed are: NGX Base Pack, Majestic DH8, OrbX Global Base, ASNext, REX4 Texture Direct with Soft Clouds and MyTraffic6. Everything looks good so far but I have just noticed that when loading up the default opening flight, sitting on RWY19 threshold at Enslin(?) I have a few isolated bushes along the taxiway to my immediate left heading up towards the main ramp. This is the original, standard airport, I have yet to start installing add-on airports into the sim. Any ideas on where to look in solving this one?

I was searching for some shader tweaks, stumbled upon on some russian forum, and found this amazing tweak how to get brighter terrain and darker cloud/terrain shadows. ATTENTION! Ok, before you all come at me with rocks - I am not an experienced pilot, I am not an experienced simmer. That being said, I can fly most addon GA planes - favorites at the moment are Quest Kodiak and Ant's Eaglet. Something in my system does not agree with the A2A 182. On takeoff it lurches to the left and needs almost full rudder to stay in the middle of the runway. In the air it tries to lurch to the left and up causing stalls if I lose my attention. Trying to land is impossible because of the constant need to work the rudder to the extremes (this is probably more difficult for me as I am not an expert). i know this been brought up and why dont use the search and all that smartness, i did and i tried everything nvidia insp and nvidia control pnl to remove these jaggies seems like its impossible also the runway & taxi ways has some jaggies in the distance. running on gtx strix 970 4gb , pics below on 8 msaa

Hi guys, Already I searched at the LM forum. This is with v 3.2.3. After I have saved a flight , gave it a name and saved it as my Default flight it P3D says it can not find the Default flight. Old flights I deleted either in the menu or in the Preparedv3 Files folder return there together with my custom Default flight , which is not recognised as my Default flight... Anyone can shed some light here ? Thanks, Gerard

Has anyone else noticed that runway lights change size and appearance on approach? Meaning they are large, bloomy and over-dimensioned (almost melted into each other) right until landing, then they change to a normal size. It doesn't matter if I change runway light settings in either REX OD or REX4 TD, they all look the same right until you are near them - then they change into whatever texture you have set in REX. I remember I didn't have this problem in previous versions of P3D like 2.2 or 2.3. Also, I have tried cycling between different Nvidia Drivers, but that doesn't seem to help either. Hi all. I'm wondering what is the best value to use for affinity mask with a non overclocked 6700K. At the moment, i am using a value of 244 and have noticed it provides a much smoother experience. The downside for me though is that I am seeing a lot more ground texture blur and slower loading ground textures. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Hello When I open FTX Central 2 I see the England scenery listed alongside Scotland and Wales but I do not have a CONFIGURE option for England. I only have a configure option for Scotland and Wales. Is this correct?

I have the latest P3D v3 using the Saitek X-55 Throttle. Can't get the Throttle to respond. This is how I have my axis set up. All other controls work fine. Cyclic - joystick axis (pitch roll axis) Throttle - Prop axis Collective - Throttle axis Anti-Torque - rudder axis I hope I didn't overlook the answer in another thread. I looked & looked here and Googled for an answer w/ no success. Just to make it clear,,I can't get the throttle in the Robinson Heli to respond. Thanks

Hello, the last few days I try to switch from the "traditional" FSX to p3d. After many hours of searching and tweaking I'm not quite satisfied with the result. I get about 15-20 fps with default scenery and the textures are not to clear. Any suggestions? CPU: Intel Core i7 4790 @ 3.60 GHz GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series RAM: 8GB

Hey folks, Sigh, no matter how I set up my range of detail (which is not set to very high), I get this issue where the buildings near me are being rendered and the buildings far from me (a little far not 100km away) are not rendered (attached is a picture depicting the issue) what can I do to make it render the autogen a bit more realistically ? friends, i have a problem with my ftx global. i installed it in the latest p3dv3.2 version but i am having a problem. When i am for exemple on approach to egll 27R i don't see 3d buildings. My terrein is just flat, like photoreal... I recently bit the bullet, again, reinstalling everything. I won't get into specifics but recent OOMs I experienced made me start an investigation. After reinstalling a basic setup, my tubeliners, ORBX FTX Global, ASN, REX, with a few 3rd party airports, I looked into possibly making some changes to my cfg file and even my nvidia settings. One of the changes I made was incorporating an Affinity Mask setting. I went through a tut here at AVSIM to determine the appropriate number and plugged it in. I am perfectly happy with 3.0. In fact I'm delighted. Is there any compelling reason to update to 3.2? If I do will I have to re-install all the Orbx and Aerosoft sceneries that I have? Educate me!

I finally successfully concluded my OOM Test flights with PMDG-777. I will make it my story short. I advise the following: 1- Uninstall Nvidia Inspector. If you cannot uninstall, just delete Prepar 3D profile. During my test flights I realized major OOM problems generated by 4xSGS or 2XSGS settings . 2- Find best AM settings. I have i7-5980X (8-cores) and AM settings provided by Steve Waite (Many THX) Just completed KEWR-PANC (TOD to Landing it was IFR conditions) over 7 hours.
