Two consecutive flights, one an hour long, one two hours long. Both with a bit of bad weather (ASN) and both in the NGX. Departure and arrival airports are add on, using FTX Global and Vector and custom mesh. Both flights ended with FSUIPC warning bell for low VAS. ONLY ADD-ON I was running was ASN. My question: which settings can I reduce/adjust to best help improve my VAS. I have disabled the secondary roads in Vector. I have zero tweaks in the .cfg including no AF. Most settings are on high but I have a decent system - i7 6700K, new GTX980 Ti and 16 GB DDR4-3000 RAM, SSD's etc. I did have 4xSGSS AA active in NI for one of these flights but not the other.

Noticed this one was released a couple of weeks ago. Noticed there's an upgrade price for owners of version 1. Anyone tried it out yet and can share some impressions?

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone ever sees similar things to this. It seems as though when I pass a certain altitude (~3,500) the horizon no longer blends nicely into the distance. Could this be a ActiveSky thing? Or is it just P3d's default? Running the usual: FTX, ASN, REX,

Ive been on 3.0 since it came out and havnt been keeping up on developments the past 3 or 4 months but noticed we are up to 3.2. Is it a worthwhile upgrade to make? I always do a fesh install so it usally takes me several hours to get everyhting loaded back up. For some odd reason I have been getting tons of stutters which I never had before. I have a 6600k @4.6 and a GTX980ti so I am hoping 3.2 is a bit smoother than 3.0. Any advice would help!

I am running out off space on the C: Drive where my OS Win7 is installed. I am planning on using the Acronis backup and restore to move from thus 120GB to a larger 225GB SSD next weekend. My P3DV3.2 is installed in another HD (Drive P:\p3dV3\) Do I have to to uninstall the P3D client and then reinstall and reactivate after my OS drive move? or is this unnecessary?

I want to do a Windows search of all the .bgl files in Homer (PAHO). I have an elevation issue. How do you do a Windows search ? Thanks, Jack

Hi everyone, I fly a few planes that use toe-brake steering. Having some trouble figuring out how to calibrate; rudders work fine in the air but drastically oversteer on the ground and I end up weaving around a lot. Also - the plane I fly the most (Alabeo DA40) seems to have too much toe brake friction, but I assume that could be adjusted? Rudder steering should not work at low speeds, but does. I have the paid version of FSUIPC if that might help, but I'm pretty new to it. Any help appreciated! thx Andrew

Just wondering why it is not recommended to tick off this box in P3D. I actually have it ticked because it works better with my preset EZDok setting but perhaps this is a mistake.

Hi there, Apologies if this is a rookie question, but is there any way to darken the night environment in P3D V3.2 without using HDR? I don't use HDR because I'm trying to save all the FPS I can. i6700k, gtx970, Win10 64 Thanks very much in advance for any help here. - Daniel

Hi all, An image below of my current P3D v3.2 Scenery Library. Some stuff I had to add manually and worried that the order of, in particular, ORBX stuff might have been disrupted. No particular issues in the sim that I have noticed but I would like to be sure this is OK before I continue adding airports and scenery. Any comments appreciated. Off the screen at the top (priority 1-3) are add on airports. Aeroworx is African landclass to take away the huge deserts and overdone jungles. Hello I've got P3Dv3 and fly regularly on Vatsim. My client is vPilot and I have had past experience with this ona different PC when I used FSX. My traffic addon was World of AI (WOAI) and I wish to continue using this for Vatsim as it is usually hassle-free and FREE! Until now. I've manually installed about 20 airlines (BA, Easyjet< ryanair etc.) and used VMR generator to try and link them to vPilot. Only a few airlines work and I'm getting errors every few seconds. I've looked into the eroors in detail and found out that some airlines have the same type of aircraft between them but are in different folders. For example, BA and Easyjet both share an A320 but B…

This is in P3Dv2.5. For quite some time now I have needed to reboot my flight sim computer after installing AV updates or doing other on line work before loading my flight sim programs. If I do not reboot, the sim acts as if the CH controllers (full set) are not connecting with the flight sim program. The controls in the cockpit can be moved, adjusted, etc by using the mouse. Today I am unable to make the CH controllers connect after successive reboots, but again, the controls within the sim can be moved normally via the mouse. Ideas?? Help??

I was lumbering along the Northeast US at FL350 and started getting VAS warnings. o.O VAS? Up hear? I rarely get VAS warnings. Even the 777 at KSFO is fine. On the other hand, I rarely pay attention to things that can cause VAS problems up high. I cut back my clouds and eventually VAS dropped back to 3500MB. So, what can cause it and what are your settings to reduce its use. Here's what I have up there... Active Sky Next Orbx Global Orbx Vector Did I mention the 777? Oh, I did. ...well guys 'n gals, all I can say, is that from the first couple of .cfg tweaks, needed to bring up my FPS from stock running, it has been nothing but a most satisfying user experience, I have ever had with any MS-based flight sim. The short text...is that even with loading the base sim up with everything 3rdP that I own....P3D v3.2.3 has been nothing short of amazing. Smooth animation, right down to 11 FPS. Yep...no typo...11 FPS, when ASN is giving me solid to-the-horizon multi-layer action. That is the only time I drop below a base of 18 FPS. Hi to one and all. I hope this is the right place to seek some advice. I have ORBX installed, including Base, Vector, OpenLC Europe and England. When I open central to choose a flying area I see that if I pick Europe in the group heading only England is there. If I choose FTX Global then my Global base, Global Vector and my Global openLC Europe are all there together. I'm confused...shouldnt my open LC europe be in the Europe group along with England, leaving the FTX Global group with Base and Vector. Any help would be a ppreciated as i'm not sure what to select when say flying from UK to Spain. many thanks

For some unknown reason P3D is no longer reproducing any effects such as contrails, wintip trails, etc. After reading posts made by people with similar issues no solution has been found, so I am now faced with two options do a complete wipe and reinstall of Windows + P3D or just reinstall P3D and it is this later option for which I would appreciate some guidance. If I were to remove and reinstall P3D only, would my other addons already installed work? What would be the quickest and most efficient way to do this? Grateful for any advice.

Hello! I've installed EZdok camera 1.18.7 in P3D v3.2 a few days ago, and defined a few views for a couple aircraft (1st screenshot), but there seems to be a problem when switching views with the keys I've defined in the settings (2nd screenshot). The keys (Num3 Num9 Num1 and Num7) are not used by P3D, or any other add-on. In fact, on the first aircraft, they work just fine, I can use Num7/Num1 to switch from virtual cockpit to aircraft and so on, and I can use Num9/Num3 to switch between views in each category. But on the 2nd aircraft, that I defined in another session, only the Num7/Num1 are working, I cannot switch between rear/left/right aircraft view in …

Hi. I have a little problem. I tried to change the season to summer night (it doesnt get very dark in the summer..) and when using the 737NGX i cant see the lights on the ground. This only works in dark seasons like winter. Is there any settings to fix this or do i just have to live with it?
