hello, I am new to P3D V3 and I migrated from FSX SE. I am wanting to know what would be the best P3D V3 settings for me to run with my computer. My computer has an Intel core i7-4700MQ [email protected] GHz Quad core and GTX 750. I know my computer is not the best to run P3D V3 but I can deal with it. The addons I use right now is PMDG 777, Aerosoft airbus, ORBX Global, GSX, Ezydok, Flightbeam KSFO, and Imagesim KATL. My problem is I will get a solid 23 FPS per second but then all of a sudden it will drop down to 8 FPS. I was just wondering if there is some suggestions to optimize my performance on P3D V3 thanks.

Hey friends, I have a situation that is very annoying for me. when i'm flying I like very much to change views, and you know that there's a cycle of views, first if you are in virtual cockpit, and you press "S" in keyboard the view change to spot plane view, then you press "S" keyboard again and you go to "nearest airport" but when you press "S" key in order to return to virtual cockpit, you can see that outside the ground textures are vanish and slowly them start to return, turning this very annoying to me, so I have realized that if I made rapidly the transition from spot plane, then nearest tower and at last virtual cockpit, the vanish efects of ground textures is mini…

Hi all. Just looking for any help out there. I am just wondering about the cores using P3D and ASN in my set up. I have attatched a couple of screnshots of my set up. It is an i7-6700K upto 4.5GHz on Windows 10 with 8gb ram using P3D V3.2 also have a GTX 980Ti with driver 364.72 All i have in CFG is AM=85 , FFTF=0.1 and TexMaxLoad=2048 Any help greatly appreciated Adam

Well, with my fresh install of P3Dv3.2, which I am really enjoying, I am using, appart from the default aircraft, only two add-ons: - PMDG 777 200, which I had bought sometime ago, but never used - The Carenado B1900d, my only Carenado ever! After having read for years about the poor level of detail, flight dynamics, systems modeling regarding Carenado modules, I have to say I am very very positively surprised by this one. Not only the flight dynamics look / feel very good to me, very plausible, but details like even FF with RPM for the PT-6 have been fine tuned to a level I wasn't expecting! hey all , i have a 21:9 panel 3440x1440 and when i play p3d on it , there seems to be quiet a bit of distortion on the sides. is there a solution to this ? i tried fiddling with the zoom and above a zoom of .7 the distortion starts to minimize, but the scenery starts to blur/ decrease in quality . maybe an option to adjust horizontal FOV ? my lack of knowledge in this field leaves me without a solution :s kind regards

Hi all, Just as a sidenote: I had my very first OOM in Prepar3d yesterday when performing a flight from Stockholm Arlanda to Frankfurt Intl. Airport using the ORBX ESSA scenery along with the Aerosoft Frankfurt V2 scenery, plus the AS A319, FTX Vector, FTX Global, REX 4 TD, FSGRW and my customized UT2 AI Traffic. So, all this together with pretty high settings obviously still provokes an OOM on my build. Never had one since switching to P3D one year ago, but as I am now to 90% GA flying, it is not really surprising to me that the first proper Tubeliner-Flight for months ended up in an OOM now. I'm using 3.2 my main stream is ok. Where I run into problems is when I open up an app from the menu and a pop up box appears my stream goes black. then it comes in again when I close it down How do I show everything on my stream?

Hi I am using 3.2 with Windows 7. After installing the full package I recall that I did have the new shoreline wave effects, however at some point they have disappeared and I can't work out why. I have Global, Vector, ASN, AS2012 and PrecipitFX installed and have tried either disabling these or finding a setting that over-rides the wave effect, no good. I have also tried various in-sim settings, including Bathymetry on/off, changing the water detail setting and effects setting, all to no avail. I just upgraded to V3 on my computer, I currently been using V2.5. After install this pops up when starting the sim. Why does this occur? At the same time I am having trouble with some add on sceneries not showing the addon manager on the drop down list, it never ask me when I start if I trust the addon manager like in files prior. Any thoughts on these two issues? Thanks!

I'm a b$$ch regarding flight simulators, I know... After the dismay ( I must confess I was somehow disappointed ) with DTG Flight School, I decided to give p3d latest v3 release a go. I had bought a monthly subscription license in November 2015, run it for a week, and then moved again to DCS and IL2, but this time I was willing to confirm if indeed there was good performance after the last patch. Used the basic tweaks: - Just AM and FFTF in p3d.cfg, and max texture to 2048. - fixed fps at 30 in the sim, and no vsync in sim - in NI I set 1/2 refresh rate, 4 x sgss to match the 4 aa in sim... Hey, Recently installed FreeMeshX and realised, the scenery list was getting quite long. I'm not entire sure what the 'optimal' load order would be for many of these things. Could anyone do me a favour and take a quick gander at this list, which is only the 'top' part, see if there's something I need to move up or down? The sight of beautiful aviation talent from around the globe shows that despite the fact there are different companies that compete against each other, pilots are united as one as scientists and artists of aviation. .... and it's not cool to be the only plane at the gate when you are trying to simulate such environment. I would like to know more about AI traffic add-ons. Are they accurate in terms of the airlines that actually fly to a given airport (i.e. am I going to see Qantas at the airport in Dubrovink? Hey guys So I have had this issue for sometime now and I assume others have also. Where flying through a storm there's little to no cloud and there is lightning. Looks unrealistic, I have tried many settings in asn Rex 4 cand depicts the same Thing Another thing that bugs me is that I a lot of time I see low level clouds an very high clouds Very rare occasions do I see clouds in between that you would see in real life. Hello all... I was wondering if you can run P3D v3 with a triple 4K tv setup at lower settings till I get video cards that will support triple 4k monitors. I need to get the structure built and that requires having the displays. I really want to run triple monitors but 4k is amazing and I only have a single 970 at the moment. So, can I run the 4k TV's at 1080p to start and then be able to step up to 1440 then ultimately 4K as I increase GPU power. CPU is a 4790K 4.0 not overclocked yet. Has anyone tried multiple GTX 1080 to see if they will power triple 4K setup? Thanks Bob

Well no more fussing with ezca and no migration tool needed - installed and worked perfectly with migration tool disabled - info for anyone that doesnt know this You go to flight1 ezca download page and grab 1.187 wrapper and good to go - what a relief this is - also Kevin from simforums (great support) explained that this version has a config tool that will install it into FSX or P3D meaning you can have both sims installed at the same time if thats how you roll :wink:

Yes, I've already left a support ticket asking them about this since several of my recent Carenado/Alabeo planes (citation II, navajo, alabeo saratoga etc.) refuses to install in v3. What worries me is the fact that Carenado/Alabeo aren't known to modify/update "old" releases or installers, not even their most recent releases. I'm not going back to 2.5 and I don't like to use third-party installations tools because they in no way guarantee compatibility and they often break the EULA. What do you think, with their track-record, will Carenado/Alabeo come out with new installers for recent releases? It would be a great dissapointment if they didn't. Cheers!/Andreas
