I just finished creating my Spotlights edit to the NGX to give it a more classic look. I love how natural the spotlights look compared to the real ones.

There are lots of great options for flying in Europe and North America, but why is it so hard to find payware airports for other populous regions of the world? And not just Brazil, Russia, India, and China, but more generally I'd love to get some good recommendations for any payware airports anywhere in South America, Africa, the Middle East, or Southern Asia. I need to expand my horizons, but after spending so much time with the likes of UK2000, Flytampa, Flightbeam, FSDT, and Orbx, it's just so hard to go back to stock airports, especially if the destination is a new one. Any pointers?

It seems that there has not been much written recently about FaceTrackNoIR in the Avsim forums so I thought I’d share my experience. In short, FaceTrackNoIR is head tracking software that requires no hardware other than a webcam. No hat, no led clip, no nothing, it simply recognises your face and the movement of your head and it does an excellent job under many lighting conditions. Let me try this again. Had FSX and P3Dv3 installed, windows 10. Removed FSX and P3Dv3 because of issues that I caused. Reinstalled P3Dv3 only. Ezdok camera will not work now. Tried migration tool also, no luck.

I downloaded the F1 GTN750 yesterday and its not working with the 3.2 I have run out of reactivation and had to reset it. Before I go and download it again..could someone please confirm the latest install would work with 3.2? Hello, my NEC monitor is capable of 24Hz refresh rate. I set the target frame rate in p3d to 24. I changed Vertical syc to Adaptive in NVIDIA Control Panel and turned off 3x Buffering and VSYNC ingame following this thread: http://www.avsim.com/topic/444793-one-tweak-to-rule-them-all-how-to-set-affinity-mask-correctly/ Do you think I should turn on ingame refresh rate/tripple buffering instead and turn off Adaptive in nVidia control panel from the "theory" point of view? My TitanX and 6700k system is pretty strong, but there's never enough with ORBX and stuff. Thanks, Dirk.

I haven't used FSX for a while and recently had issues with P3Dv3 because I kept tweaking it. After a clean install, and after running P3d, the first app was Ezdok. It installed ok and the config worked. When I launch P3d, Ezdok will not start. This has been going on for a while. I have the new version(1.18.7). I do notice that in all of my Ezdok folder locations, the exe file is missing the .xml. It should be "exe.xml" I even tried the migration tool. It seems to me something is corrupt, or I'm doing something wrong. thanks for any ideas Doug

Hi all, new to P3d, been away from flight sim for a while and decided to come back from FSX to the all new version 3 of P3D. Purchased at the weekend but not had a stable response yet rofm the simulation. Have so far installed ASN and UK200 LHR extreme using the FLightsim Estonia tool. The program crashes whilst setting a scenario and selecting aircraft to any point just after getting into the aircraft. Error states Appcrash for Prepar3d3D.exe Using version 3.2.3.16769, Stackhash_0a9e Most frustrating. Any ideas how to fix ?

Hey All, I was wondering if anyone else has trouble loading the Location or Airport selection menus when in the Scenario edit screen. I sometimes click the button (more often with location) and nothing will load. When clicking the button again I'll get double windows. This is particularly frustrating with the flight planner Has this been brought up before?

Is it possible to this feature in lieu of Opus or Ezdok, by setting up cameras and assigning buttons and/or keys to each of them? What about transitions between them? TKS!

Hello! I am unable to make simple sun mod run as expect inn my Prepar3D v3.2. I always have an awkward sun and lens flare effects... And none of the beautiful sun effects I have seen on videos and screenshots. Luckily someone here has "cracked the code" and is willing to help. At this point I don't know what I am doing wrong... Presently I have FTX Global, the free airport pack and two add-on airports, FSDT LAX and LatinVFR SAN, in the Southern CA area. I've just bought and I'm downloading So CAL now. Do I need to uninstall anything first before installing the region? I also have UTX2 installed.

Ok, so after reading numerous threads I think I am doing it right but have one question. I have P3D v3.2. I see how LM wants us to move stuff outside the main folder. I installed all the Free Mesh stuff I found via a forum here. I created a folder , "C:\P3DAddon". I have one 2TB SSD drive. Inside that folder I have "scenery", "effects", "SimObjects" and "sound". I plan on just putting my scenery in there, no aircraft as I just use two PMDG planes and that's no biggie to reinstall them. So having said that, for scenery do I use "Local=C:\P3DAddon....." or is it example 2, "Path=C\P3DAddon...."?? Or is "Path" for every other cfg but the scenery one? Thank you [Are…

I loaded up the PMDG 777 and right away the flaps is going between25 and 30 back and forth and back forth. I exited and used Simstarter and removed all joysticks connections..all Null So I am basically using only FSUIPC to setp specific controls for my 777. I have the following hardware.. Saitek Yoke, saitek rudder Saitek Throttle 1 and Throttle 2 (both independent..none connected to my yoke) (I have not assigned these two to the PMDG 777 Flightdeck 737 Thrtoole.. this is assinged to the 777 A bunch of USB hubs and Go flgith modules I checked the FSUIPC and buttons and move aboth the Saitek throttle 1 and 2 and pressed every button and I do not see a…

Hi. I gave been doing A LOT to my sim lately, so if I have any issues backtracking is near impossible. I have bee getting this wierd issue where I get a sort of 'motion blur' thing. I see multiple of certain objects on screen (trees, buttons, hud readouts...) and it's really grainy for a second. This is amplified when I pan. It becomes normal again once I stop panning for about 0.5-1 seconds. It's a bit of an immersion ruiner. I though it was a gpu or nv issue, but I can rule that out based on my nvi and cfg settings. I have dumped cfgs already, didn't fix. I have an absolute rubbish system, but I'm stuck with it until November. (GTX 750ti, I7-4770, 1TB Toshiba HDD, …

Hi Shanan, Perhaps a successful experience with this tool is monitor dependent. I did not have to calibrate my monitor (ROG seem to have done a great job) but perhaps there are units out there that do require some optimisation. My conclusions are very positive, so much so that I can't see myself flying without these lighting enhancements..ever! Yes, there were a few reservations at the beginning, the main one being the clipping of bloom noted here and there. This was fixed to acceptable levels by reducing the Bloom setting in HDR settings to 0.3. My other settings are Brightness 1.10 and Saturation 0.8. Hi All, I simply don't have the patience any more to do this...so I'd prefer to bow down to somebody that has both the skill set and the passion to get me up and running to the best of my rigs ability. To keep things as short as possible. My rig specs to start with: Intel i7 920 @ 2.667ghz. Hi. I installed PMDG 777 but later decided to uinstall it. But i keep getting the message RAAS is outdated (or something like that). How can i remove it ?

First time I have had the FSUIPC warning for low VAS. Ding - donging only started in the bay on shut down, so no actual OOM, but on a very short flight. In fairness, all settings maxed out, including Vector options. Bad weather too. Now I am looking for a way to view VAS in real time in the sim, preferably without exiting the full screen or pausing the sim. What is recommended for this purpose in P3D? A search on Google and here has some options but posts date back to 2014. I think P3Dv3 might have outgrown some of those older suggestions?

Hi All, I've installed the latest version of P3D on my rig, then installed FTX Global, FTX UK, REX Essentials+ HD and the Realism Shader pack in that order. I tried a brief flight from KHQM last night and once in the air the graphics were very good but my issue is that even though I used REX to install textures the runway and surround areas didn't look much different. Have I installed something in the wrong order or done something I shouldn't? TIA Daz
