I have been rocking my 27 inch Asus 1080 monitor for about three years. I am really wanting to jump to 4k but feel that I will lose too many frames in the process. Can anyone give me some insight. My new rig can pull 45+ frames in complex areas such as Orbx NCA San Fran area with Orbx addon airports. I have everything set super high and see 60-70, sometimes 80/90 when I am out of major urban areas doing VFR flying. specs: i7 6700 at 4.2, 16 gigs ram, EVGA 980ti watercooled Thank you for any input you can offer. I feel like I am constantly finding airports that need to be corrected. I did run the Auto Correct. And have now since fixed some more that it didn't correct during the auto run. I also know if I run the auto correct again it changes all the ones I had found back. My question: Is there a way to run auto correct without losing the ones you already fixed? Is that what saving the profile does? So for example. Run auto correct. Load up and KMEM is still sunken. Go into Vector Config and either disable or enable it depending which side it appears. So now KMEM is fixed. So I'd like to run auto correct again but don't want to lose KMEM that I already…

I followed a guide on this topic to update my P3D. The process involved deleting some programs from the add/remove programs feature of the Control Panel in windows. Those were "client, content, and scenery" but I opted to only uninstall the client, and then download a ~150MB file from my p3d account page. Things SEEM to work fine. But now, I am unsure how my add-ons have been integrated. For example, I cannot get the GSX window to come up. I read I now have to uninstall the "content" part of p3d but it may override my FTX scenery. I am lost and confused. I have some computer knowledge but I always fear losing my add-ons when I play around with these little components …

Bonjour, I am new to P3D, and after one month of navigation between AM, TB, vsync, NI , HT, FPS limiter..., it looks today not too bad. :smile: But there is definitively, with my config, a problem with HT ON. My config: 4790K OC 4.6Ghz , windows 7 X64, GTX 780, 60 hz monitor. Not too bad with: HT OFF, external limiter (RadeonPro) 30FPS, vsync and TB off, internal FPS limiter illimited and no AM in the cfg file. I choose RadeonPro external limiter as it is the only one which works for me. the others I tried have no effect. Another thing I do not understand as I have a Nvidia card ! It seems that everyone is trying to find the holy grail for his or her installation of Prepar3D. We are exchanging a wealth of information here but we miss the opportunity to do the same in real life. Therefore, this little project idea: If anyone is interested to see another member's setup working why don't we try to find out who lives close to other members and start meeting. Some views over the shoulder of a fellow simmer might tell us more than a thousand posts. Any comments welcome.

Quick question: Does the folder for Sim objects be left inside the PVD3 folder or outside in its own folder?

Still am...but when expecting v2.6 (I passed v2.5) and with everybody else, saw that L.M. was changing the format to a v3.x series, and the requirement to re-purchase the sim base...I thought, nope...it's only v2.6 with lipstick on. Even the posts by the early adopters didn't convince me otherwise, and to go beyond v2.4. I just had this ctd and never saw this one before. Before this I was having a issue with blurries and I think it could be related. Did a quick Google search and there doesn't seem to be a consensus on the solution for this? Though there are some that claim it is do to with AM settings. Well on the bright side at least know I now what's causing them blurries. The AM I had one during the ctd was 221 if it helps.

All of a sudden P3D is behaving strangely. Basically when P3D starts and the sim screen appears, after a minute or so, it disappears and takes me to a black screen with no sound or image. My first thought was to check the dll.xml and exe.dll files for inegrity as well as the P3D.cfg which I deleted and let P3D recreate. Also checked the simobjects cfg. Nothing wrong found on any of these files. After an hour or so trying to sort the issue it occurred to me to delete the contents of C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\SceneryIndexes. To my surprise P3D started just fine. At this point I thought I'd cracked it. Then I added some sceneries to P3D and when P3D …

Hello, in the last days I am having the problem, that loading a flight is stopping at 'loading terrain data' at 6%. Then the only solution is to restart the computer. I have no idea concerning the reason for this problem. I haven't intalled any new scenery or software. Is someone able to help? Regards Arndt

Hey guys So I had just finished a flight from Vancouver to Toronto in the pmdg 777 Now I have not encountered this problem before. Fps was dropping from 30 to 22 stuttering through dense clouds on the Toronto area on approach. I am using 4x sgss with 3 cloud layers and mod settings in ASN Once flight was finished I closed and fired up p3d again without asn and set up weather scenario with dense clouds and flew into it and I ha no fps drop whatsoever. So now I ask you: How do you keep track / log your flights? I am not asking for much. Departure / Destination, Time, Type of plane, maybe a map... I am hoping for your thoughts. Hi. I've just had a completely new computer built and have a question regarding My Traffic 6. I already have it installed on my older computer (P3D version) and was wondering if I can either move or reinstall this on my new computer (also P3D) or will I have to repurchase the program. I'm guessing I will need to repurchase, but hoping I won't . Actually, this same question also pertains to a few add-on aircraft. Any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff

I just got an email from simplanet stating that REX products are 60% off. Wow. I am just curious if this may be an indication of new releases coming soon. The prices are great, but if there is something on the near horizon I would like to wait. Anyone have any input? Bob

Okay not really, but I seem to get this transparent outline around my trees against the sky at certain angles. These happen to be Orbx trees -anyone else see this?

I've been having instances of my airspeed gauge, in different aircraft, dropping to zero. Sometimes it comes back, but others it just stays there. Anybody have this, or have suggestions about a possible cause or fix? Thanks.

After this last 3.2 update my Logitech 3D Pro will not do anything, I'm reading this is the same for other joysticks makes as well, so far no one has an answer, not even Lockheed

Orbx Scenery Seems to run Great Without Any Addon Airplanes. It Seems if i try and play with an A2A or Carenado Aircraft it seems to lag pretty good!

Here's the deal: I pick my airport, gate, plane. I hit "OK" and the game crashes. No windows error or anything. Just goes back to windows. I recently did an update from 3.0 to 3.2 using the install client method, meaning, I installed the ~150MB file from the p3d website, and just installed over my current version. I did not uninstall the game, as I fear that all of the add-ons that I have will be void, as many developers say ONE PC ONLY in their policy. Any tips or suggestions? Thank you.

Ok I am trying to get my settings just right and not sure how to adjust the range of my movements. I want to be able to look up and down and side to side with as little head movement as I can. Right now when I am trying to look at overhead panel and it gets out of range I guess cause it resets.

I recently get interested at GPS avionics like GNS 530 in Carenado PC-12 or G1000 in C172 (I copied it from FSX to P3D and it runs fine). I found that even FSX/P3D default GPS or G1000 eats a lot into fps, so I'm thinking to buy a stand alone GPS add-on that I can run on a second computer and connect to P3d. I searched and only saw Flight1 selling a stand alone G1000 for $245 which is of course too steep for my purpose, at least at present. As far as I can see, Mindstar GNS530 or Flight1 GTN750 needs to be installed into P3D and can't be run on a second computer? Any company selling such addons in a networkable standalone version?

Hi all, Anybody else having this problem? Happening to all my airplanes even if the levers are idle for about 10 seconds. Gregg EDIT: I'm using FSUIPC, FSX controls are off, everything's calibrated nicely. After the first ten seconds, they settle down and everything's grand again.

Hey guys, just wanted to know which AI Traffic you are using for P3D? Im actually using P3Dv2.5 and have WOAI and Traffic 360 but I dont have any installed yet. So which one you can recommend. Or any other tool? If it is possible I want the newest Airlines wiht their newest flightplans. Any idea is welcome Cheers
