Hello all! Im currently flying the pmdg 777-200 from atlanta to tokyo. Im at 32000 ft and cruising along nicely. There are no clouds above me but an overcast layer below me at around 5000 feet or so. The Sim time is about 330pm eastern time. Heres my issue. I pan around in locked spot plane and when i pan to the side of the airplane where the sun isnt hitting it, the plane gets a huge shadow casted on it. The whole airplane goes into a shadow as if it were flying under a huge cloud. When i pan back to the sunlit side, the whole airplane is lit up and the shadow is removed. Greetings, First let me say this is not a who is better thread. I just want to get the most out of the simulator. I am currently using MyTraffic 6 in P3D v3. It appears that in P3D v3, we got the night lights back for the aircraft. For all that MyTraffic does, the AI lights are kind of hit and miss. Furthermore, I don't see any way to change the lights (to Shockwave or something) in the aircraft.cfg files. There appear to be at most, 2 entries for lights. There are over 200 models in MyTraffic and that would be a lot of trial and error to stock the planes with lights. I notice that many of the aircraft have lights at a distance; but the aircraft just glow. I understan…

I've never seen reloading of the entire scenery (Terrain data) when I change weather settings... But I am noticing that occasionally happens in P3D V3.2 Anyone notice this? I just went from total fog to snow weather. I did no other change... Its gong to loading the whole scenery which takes a long time...

I've been using P3D awhile and love it, I've been using FSDT scenery even longer and KLAX/KDFW are two of my favorite from them. Problem is my aircraft and all ramp vehicles sink into the ground at these and only these two locations (that I have found so far). I have posted this in both Orbx FTX and FSDT forums. Orbx provided a little help in that they offered the obvious: Make sure Vector AEC is working and rule out other scenerys, which I had done before posting. I need help adding Flytampa's Kai Tak (VHHX) to Aerosoft's Airbus A318,319,320,321 FMC's. I am on Prepar3D v3.2 and using latest Navigraph Airac Cycle 1604. I have search information over internet, Flytampa and Aerosoft forums with no avail . Is it also possible do add VHHX to the Q400, Pro version, FMC. Thought I have read something that their nav data is hard coded and impossible to edit? As I am flying...am just wondering, so as I understand this...scenery that you are within the LOD range of, unloads now...and frees up VAS, as you leave the visual coverage of that scenery 360 degrees around you, right? That is the new feature over v2.x? Can you still choke up VAS in v3.2 to the point of a CTD, or no?

I have just bought Arlanda ESSA by FTX, but when I start at the airport, the terminal/buildings won't show up. There are some black spots on the ground where the buildings should be. Could anyone help me?

I am getting a message when starting the sim offering me an update in respect of the object flow module. I have read before that this can cause various sim issues. Can someone confirm that this latest update is safe to install. Many thanks. Michael

Hello Having used fsx for 7 years I'm going to go for p3d. Have been reading forums about this but can't determine definitive answer. I am going to buy a new pc to run P3D on and am wondering if people are getting better experience with a dedicated ssd just to run P3D? Thanks

I have found an issue with P3D v 2.4. When I try to load TFS B777-200/300 PW & RR models the sim crasf to desktop. I have tried to google this issue but not found that any other people has this issue. Can anybody try these 4 models in P3D and confirm that it don't crash/crash the sim? All TFS models makes an issue are FS9 native models. All other engine variants are ok. Thank you for help in advance.

When I am in spot view the lighting & shadows change as I pan in spot view. When I go from one side of the aircraft to the other the whole sim suddenly gets about 15% darker. Then whan I go back to the other side it returns to normal! Anyone else experience this and do you know how to solve it? P3D 3.2 with a GTX970

Hey all! I installed this thing tonight but am getting no lights at all. I'm accessing with Vector. I've tried with UTX on/off and just about every combination I can think of. Any pointers would be most appreciated! Tkx!! Doug

My issue is static and shrieking sound that continue in any view I change to and from. I do not have FSX installed to be used so I cannot test the sound but I have NO issues with sound on any other game or videos. I do not use a video graphic card sound driver. I am using the drivers installed with my ASUS Rampage V Extreme software. Any ideas

Looking to get an MCP for P3D, most that I have researched don't say much on compatibility with P3D. Is there any recommendations out there? I mostly fly PMDG 737 and 777 but would like one that can work with Aerosoft 320 and other regional jets.

I can not get clear ground textures from v3.2.3. While v2.4 has ground textures you can shave with....not so for v3.2.3 using the same settings and the same driver. Has anyone generated very clear ground textures, with v3.2...and if so...how do you go about it? That's so far is the only bummer comment...back to blurry textures like in days of old...

I ported over my MyTraffic 5.3a to P3D v3.2, but couldn't for the life of me, figure out how to add the SimObject pointer into the sim. You no longer do it in the P3D.cfg file.... I grabbed a coffee.... ....and figured it out, by un-hiding all the files associated with P3D v3.2. The result? Finally....A.I. traffic once more...and oh..I got my FPS back up to 32 FPS, and that's with even Dynamic Reflection on Medium. Got Accu-Feel up and running too. Good stuff...having fun learning and playing with all the new features..... Hey guys So I am wanting add another 32inch tv led to my pc. ATM running a 46inch led tv for p3d running great with all your guys help ,,thank you!!! For my flight plan and map Was goin to network oc but that's too much work lol Just want drag my map over to next screen instead of minimizing all the time. I was just curious. How many of us have different settings for different flights? And what have you found is the best way to use them? I think of individual prepar3d.cfg files or using a program like Simstarter to control profiles. I see that a lot of users just set it and forget it but from reading some of these posts, it seems that some have different settings depending on aircraft or scenery or whether it is a day or night flight. Might be interesting to discuss the how and why's. not really thinking about those that are testing but just for day to day flights. Vic

Just started experimenting with the custom camera views and it's great, except that the views aren't saved with the aircraft unless the flight is saved! Is there a utility that will save the views without saving the flight? Bonus question: I saw this asked, but couldn't really find out if/how it can be done: Simply, I'd like to create a camera view and link it to a key. Can that be done without add ons? Thanks! Andrew

My FTX Global or my openLC Europe doesn't seem to be working, as there isn't any difference between the orbx and the normal at GLCP (Gran Canaria), however it works fine in places like portugal or UK. Hi all, I have set up a few cameras to get certain views on certain monitors (2 for now) but I'm wondering if, for example, I can have a close-up instrument panel view, but disable the out-the-window view on that window? I suppose it's possible that P3D doesn't compute what it can't see, but I'm not sure. Thanks, Andrew
