Hi all, I'm very new to the SIM scene and am doing a small add on project on legacy simulator running Prepar3d v1.3 using simconnect. I've found that using the v1.4 SDK simconnect gives me a incompatible version exception so getting my hands on v1.3 was the other option. So here comes my problem, after scrutinising the internet for the P3D v1.3 SDK I am surprised to say that there is no trace of what was the v1.3 SDK install. I've attempted to contact the P3D people and they have told me that only v1.4 SDK is downloadable and older versions of v1 are no longer supported. I started flying flight sims when the first one was released for a PC back in the mid 80's. At that point I had a private Pilot's license for about 20 years, and around 600 hours under my belt, but really couldn't afford to fly enough to stay safe due to the ever increasing expense. I progressed through all of the MSFS versions and when FSX came out, I just became tired of all the tweaking, crashing, fixing, etc that seemed to be required in order to fly a flight from takeoff to landing consistently. So I took the plunge, started migrating to payware airports in P3D v3. After years in FSX with default airports, I think it is the time to bring realism one step higher. I have some amount on PayPal collected during the previous months, and I want to get at least 10-15 excellent hubs for flights in Europe. I already bought Aerosoft's Zurich v2 few months ago, bought yesterday ORBX Southampton and Arlanda, and tested all three, working flawless, fps around 70 in Bonanza. anyone else find the water textures and wave animations not very good in rex 4 there are not many choices for water textures only lbright medium and dark i much prefered essential plus overdrive so many more options plus i think the water looked better with those programmes anyone using any settings on rex 4 that are any good thanks.

Hi, Question. If i have Windows on C drive and P3D v3 on other drive and I make Windows reinstall after formatting C drive will i need to: 1. Completly reinstall P3D and all addons? 2. Reinstall just P3D and addons will work? 3. Do nothing and P3D and addons will work as it sould? So its a question about Windows registy impact of P3D v3 installation and of addons for it. Hi i want to get Orbx Global as i have Orbx ENG already if i get Orbx Global and do most of my flying in Europe should i get Orbx Vector and Europe LC Most of my flights are IFR PMDG 737 although i do have a a2a Cessna.

For the second time in a week I suddenly lost control with ProATX after take off. Is there a way to restart the flight in ProATC itself and to reconnect with ATC during my flight? I don't want to restart the entire flight from scratch... Isn't there an option somewhere to contact ATC no matter where you are so ATC will continue from the point you are currently flying? Quite often the checklist of my Aerosoft Airbus suddenly stops responding which is annoying enough already. If ProATC also stops responding I end up with aborted flights too often to my liking.

I installed via their installer. It is in the Scenery Library but......no airport! Has anyone else had issues or success with this airport?

Good afternoon, I am one of the people who are suffering from the hesitation issues with P3D 3.2. I really think at after following all the instructions regarding locked frame rates, affinity mask, FFTF (.01), I do believe that ASN is the culprit and I cant fly without it How do I assign cores for a single program? This seems to be a solution that people use but I cant figure out how to do it. I am running a i5 (3.30 unable to overclock) with a 980 GTI. Thank you.

Hi, I've just reinstalled prepar3D but the scenery library is empty and I can't use any addons, that should be added in scenery library. I've also checked scenery.cfg. I had to Reset Windows 10. I reinstalled P3Dv3.2. Have it running well. So I installed ASNext and now greeted with the Sim Connect and Ambient errors I had when I first began using the product. I tried following the changes recommended but nothing worked. I really want to use the product and not have to be bothered with fiddling around with technical adjustments just to get the product to load. So, my question is - is ASNext the only weather program? I have heard of Opus and of course REX. However, I get the sense that ASNext is superior to them. Right now ASNext would have to be materially better to induce me to re-enter the messy steps to get it running.

Comparison between Prepar3D 2.5.12942.0 and 3.2.3.16769. Sims were clean installed. No add-ons: full default setup. Hi - I can't get some aircraft started, e.g. Beechcraft and Mooney. All checklist items followed. Engine cranks a few times but it doesn't sound like there's any ignition... I fly RW and am pretty familiar with startup, but perhaps I'm missing something here. (Yes, fuel tanks are on/selected!) Any help appreciated! Thanks, Andrew

Tried running the update - seemed to work fine, but my version was still 2.4. The install seemed to work, but the version number remained at 2.4. I searched around and saw somewhere that 2.4 couldn't be updated to 2.5, so.... I removed 2.4 and installed 2.5. Or so I thought... The installer ran & said everything was successful, but there's nothing in the Lockheed Martin folder! Worse... can't find the install anywhere. Any idea? thanks...

My Question is: What FSX Program or Utility that is Not officially Compatible with Prepar3D and is Still popular today that Needs to write to either your dll.exe or your exe.xml file when Installing. I know about Ultimate Traffic 2 and Accu-Sim. What else is there, that's popular ? Thank You

Hi I am considering getting a trackball mouse to use in P3D, specifically to use in the VC and external view to pan around. Does anyone know if you can set it up to pan in P3D and if you can adjust the pan speed. Any other comments on them most welcome. Many thanks John

My PC System: i7 4770K @ 4,3Ghz GTX 770 OC Screen Resolution: 1680 x 1050 DDR3 1366 Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Is it worth upgrading my Graphic Card (GTX 970/980/980TI)? Or is it better to upgrade my Mainboard in order to use the i7 6700k and DDR4 3000+ Ram. Which component(s) should I upgrade? Thanks in advance

I would like to install the AFCAD file remake of the default Zamperini Field located in Torrence, CA. The instructions here state to copy .ad2 files to the Addon Scenery/Scenery folder. How can I achieve this in v3?

Hi. Can someone please tell me in which folder the saved scenrios are located? I've searched online and everywhere in folders and so far can't find answer. I have two particular scenarios that will not permanently delete. This is with default aircraft in P3Dv3.2.3 . I delete them by dragging them to the trash can in the scenario-selection window and they disappear at the time and everything seems OK. But, when I go to choose a scenario again, there they are. Also, when I try to load either of those two scenarios from scratch I just get the standard P3D Default scenario. If I am flying in a scenario (other than those two), end the scenario and try to load one of the…

Hi! I noticed when using GSX in P3D 3.2 that I did not have the option to change page (in menu), something I did in 3.0. For instance, opening GSX at a large airport only gives you the alternatives for runways, not selecting gates after landing. However, they are on the next page but I'm to noob to figure out how Any hints?
