Probably UTX road set of textures are not included in Global lights autogen? This is with FTX Global v1.1 With UTX over Munich: UTX disabled (default FSX): How to enable road light with UTX enabled? I took a look at UTX setup tool to change road textures, but honestly I don't know how, or what textures to apply. Any suggestions?

Hello, I recently formatted my PC and started again downloading the latest copy of P3D v3 from the website. Since installing i have had very poor FPS, around 5 at EGEO. I have traced this to the boat traffic. At 0% i get a solid 30, if i put in even 10% the frame rate tanks. Road traffic has only a negligible effect, perhaps 1 or 2 FPS at most. This config was running fine on the previous version of P3Dv3 as i copied the config file from my old installation before i reinstalled my PC. Any ideas of what might of changed or how to fix this? Thanks

Hi all, I am making preparations to move from 2.5 to 3.2. I have quite a few airports (FlyTampa, Aerosoft, ImagineSim, LatinVFR and others) running fine on P3D 2.5. Some of these companies have good support...others...not so much and even finding out if they have P3DV3 installers is a challenge. So, my question is, is there a way to install these airports into P3DV3 at this point? Or is it a waiting game? Gregg

I have yet to make the jump to Prepar3d, however after seeing more pics/videos and with pmdg's announcement, I feel like the time has come to make my way over. I see that p3d has cockpit shadows and cloud shadows, and even cloud shadows acting on the aircraft which I must say look very nice. I have a question about overcast conditions. In RW when it is overcast there really are no shadows and obviously things below the layer are a bit more dull. Does p3d model this? Below the deck the cockpit and environment will be a bit darker and then once you break through the layer the sun illuminates the cockpit and it becomes brighter?

Hi, I have to say that tonight is the best night for me in P3v3.2 ... So whats the fuss... Well i have always been a unlimited FPS/etc.. guy because i am more like a NGX/driver And i do know that undocking panels in "SLI" is still a no go (i really wisch (hicck) otherwise because SLI really rocks with every thing else) ASN still kills FPS with latest version in SLI. I just love 4x SGSS  But P3DV3.2 is butter smooth in the 777 Forgot to tell i used NI limiter fps29 also. Still to in un-xperienced to tell but you should try

Here are some images and settings for the Radeon R9270x GPU System: i7 4790K Asus Z97M/B not overclocked win 7 pro 64 bit Addons in these images: AS A320, Rex Texture Direct and soft clouds, ASN, ProatcX, ORBX EU and Norway, UK2000 Stansted Info: I have locked the frames at 60 which I found was a happy medium from my 35 in P3Dv2.5 settings. With 60 set, in my system my frame rate is a steady 30 fps , peaking to about 55 in sparse scenery areas, when flying into UK2000 Stansted and Orbx EU they drop to about 18-20 but there is no lag in texture load time, no stutters and no OOM. The flights are fluid and streamlined. The HDR settings are a challenge to achieve a r…

Does anyone know when this scenery will be available? I always enjoyed flying there in FSX and was quite excited to read that there will be a remake for P3D. Here's a link: http://www.simflight.com/2016/01/31/aerosoft-approaching-innsbruck-remake-previews/

I live near the beach and regularly see motorized paragliders going back and forth. Looked interesting. So, I installed the Paramotor today into P3Dv3. It flies lower (2 feet) and slower (17mph) than anything else in my hangar, so it's handy for sightseeing flights over my scenery addons. I went through the manual (interesting stuff) and it says you can download scenery, such as landing bases, to insert into ORBX and Fly Tampa airports. However, when I went to the vendor's website, some of the downloads needed the "Parabase Library Set." I didn't see it on the Paramotor website and there's no support link or other way to communicate with the vendor from the website.…

I know JF is releasing Air Hauler 2 with P3D compatibility in the "near" future (Q2?), but I was wondering if anyone has experience running the current version of Air Hauler with P3D2.5. I've grown tired of FSEconomy, and thought I'd give AH a try. I have the Migration Tool, if this is necessary to install. Thanks much! Aaron

  12. Hi, is it normal in P3Dv3.2 that if i cannot achieve 59fps (set in NI) it will cut my fps down to 29 ? Thats the case here. If thats normal i see no advantage using it VS. the limiter in P3dV3.2 Thanks Michael Moe

I am having to reinstall all of P3DV32 and all other sim programs and addons. After installing and running P3D, I successfully installed FSUIPC, there no errors in the FSUIPC install log. All FSUIPC files are in the p3d "Modules" folder, yet FSUIPC is not reflected in the "About" tab in P3D. My dll.xml file is below and it appears t be ok, yet the dll doesn't seem to load. This FSUIPC 4.949 by the way. I copied the FSUIPC xml entry from xml.dll in the appdata/roaming folders to the xml.dll in the c:\programdata location. I can't seem to paste the dll.xml contents. FSUIPC is the first addon installed after P3D. Anyone had a similar issue? Jeff Callender

  15. 1. HARDWARE TESSELLATION First of all, I am impressed that one major issue of P3D 2.5 with some photo textures has been addressed, namely that photo scenery looked washed out or overexposed when hardware tessellation was enabled. This was the reason why I had to switch it off in V2.5. In V3, this problem has been solved. Thus, hardware tessellation can be enabled and photo scenery textures look normal. Well done LM! 2. HDR ON & OFF I was neever satisfied with HDR in V2.5. Now in V3, HDR parameters can be adjusted, but it is still my impression that HDR OFF looks more natural. Especially in the VC, the panels look overexposed with HDR enabled (e.g. PMDG). I…

In a recent post in this forum I explained how I gained 10-15fps by discovering that my Internet Security software was scanning all programs associated with P3D, in real time, and by adding these to exclusions within the software I picked up 10-15fps. I can now increase performance sliders within the Prepar3D for a smoother more realistic game-play. While further experimenting on how to find the perfect settings for P3D3.2 I stumbled upon a way to lose 10+ fps. Quit simply, put your computer in hibernation mode, while P3D is loaded, then wake the PC up and try to resume play, I guarantee your framerate will be nowhere near what is was before hibernation. On my system…

  17. I've never been sure what to expect in terms of increased demand ON THE CPU when you do something like double the resolution. I'm assuming the GTX Titan is up to the task but again--what happens to the load on the CPU? I have excellent performance now in 3.2--what can I expect if I go with the awesome looking Dell U3425W from my 1920x1200 screen? Thanks in advance--posting here for max exposure as there is a price drop and want to act fast!

  18. Hi there, Does anyone have a solution to FSPS's fiber accelerator not working with P3D (V3.2). I have 1 more use with the demo version- I am thinking of buying it. The application registers that P3D is active, as the dials move with P3D's FPS, but it doesn't change anything as when I close (and open) the app, there is no frame change. And also, when I start P3D in legacy mode (to fly my FSX CS 777), it doesn't even recognise P3D is active as the dials don't move. I am consulting the avsim forum because I have a much better response rate here than the sim flight, which FSPS use! Thanks a lot Harry Karmel

When I set FPS to unlimited, I get 60+ PFS, and all is very super smooth - EXCEPT: 1) GSX service cars etc are stuttering heavily 2) GSX and sometimes the airplanes themselves change into black colouring only If I lock the FPS at, let's say 30, everything runs smoothly enough to enjoy (incl GSX) and no weird colour problems. So that's the solution I guess. But I would still like to know why "unlimited FP"S can have such an impact on things. P3D 3.2.3 (latest version), WIN10

I find the terrain shadows really fantastic in P3D when you are talking about large objects (i.e. mountains, hills, etc.). The problem is when you are taking about smaller objects like manmade warfs, berms, sea walls / breakers, and even the low land next to rivers and islands. these object just have this awful dancing shadow that looks terrible in the sim. Anyone know how to eliminate these but keep the large object shadows ?

So I have been having problems with tearing in 3.2. I had been trying to fix with inspector and nvidia control panel with no luck. Today I came across where if you change your desktop theme to Aero it would get rid of tearing. Happy to report that not only did it get rid of the tearing it got rid of the stutters too. Before I changed my setting I was getting around 30 fps avg. now getting mid 40's. Thought I would share this if anyone has been having trouble with this.

Hello pilots, I recently downloaded P3DV3.1 and everything went smooth. When I started to assign my controls, p3d did not recognize neither of my CH controls which are Peddles and Throttle Pro ? It only recognized my MS flight stick. I do not use CH manager and have not yet downloaded FSUIPC4. Any help is appreciated.

Hello all! I am running p3d v3.2 and MT6. The sim runs great when i jse the ai optimkzer program along side p3d. However, i have some questions about the program itself. Here is an example... Flight from kfll to kiah. I set my desired number of traffic planes to 75. I check the auto optimize buttons and the preserve airport traffic buttons. I enter kfll as the departure airport and kiah as the arrival airport. Heres my question. What does the preserve airport traffic do? I landed at houston with 1 airplane on the ground. I also noticed there where absolitly no arrivals into kfll when i was on the ground there. Only full gates and airplanes taking of…
