I recently purchased Armi Project's Muscat for P3D as a launching point for the major Gulf destinations of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha. On departure from Muscat during my first flight I spotted an error with the coastline close to the airport. As you can see from the screenshot there is a large square land tile jutting out into the sea where there should be a coastline. I have contacted the developer's email address listed on SimMarket ([email protected]), but received no response whatsoever. I run P3D with Orbx Global Vector and Open LC Africa. If I deactivate the Muscat scenery the coastline is shown correctly. If I reactivate the scenery the error reappears.…

Just completed a flight from SVMI to SKBO with ATC-X Pro. I got assigned RNAV approach X to 31L. I was flying the FSL A320SL. There were thunderstorms approaching Bogota. Question for the experts how does one fly an RNP approach. From what I've seen you do not select APP on FCU. I did that and also change VDEV. Everything was going well until the A/P disconnected on its own. Is that a normal behavior for the Airbus A32X? I tried flying it manually but I was all over the place. The A/T kept going into A.Floor. For those that want to try the approach I landed around 2240 zulu and used Active Sky for weather. Here is the chart.

Hi all I have been using FSX and P3D for many years however I never bothered with live weather. I would like to give it a try. I have Rex SkyForce 3D installed (also for several years) as I enjoy what it does to the clouds etc. However I never tried the weather engine. I gave it a try the other day and to my horror it stopped P3D V4.5 form working at all I had to reinstall P3D V4.5 to get it working again. To test my theory I again turned the weather engine in Rex SkyForce 3D on, with the same result (P3D V4.5 crashing to desktop after it tries to load a flight). So after a 2nd full reinstall of P3D V4.5 as you can imagine I will not turn the w…

When I load up a flight with the FSL A320x for P3D it will usually take several minutes to complete the '...loading runways.bin, please wait' portion. Sometimes, this will take up to 10 minutes or more. Does anyone else see this? Is there a way to help this along? (I've searched the site and found nothing...could be the update.)

I know that Imaginesim's ZSPD is not yet officially compatible with v5, however it seems to have installed fine by manual adding in the scenery library. However, I've checked SODE jetways in the airport configurator, however no jetways are shown at all. See here https://imgur.com/71ClV56 If I deselect SODE jetways in the configurator, I just get default non-movable jetways. Do I need to add a SODE file? Thanks

I recently uninstalled DD NYC Airports and installed Imaginesim's KLGA. I have default looking jetways showing at KLGA. I have tried everything I can think off to delete the Jetways with no success. Any Ideas? Greg

I built my computer about 2 or 3 years ago gutting out everything and rebuilding from the ground up. I got an Nvidia 2080TI GPU, 32GB RAM @ 2400MHz, Ryzen 3 3900 CPU, ran on windows 10, everything installed into SSD drives (add ons are in separate drives due to the shear volume required but still SSDs). I was getting 20-30ish+/- FPS in the air with lots of add-ons and unlocked windows from the VC on my 2nd monitor. I decided to upgrade the CPU to the Ryzen 9 5900 and upgraded to windows 11. Now my FPS are the same. In fact, I fly with a VA that shows the average FPS on the final flight log and in the PMDG 737-900ER, I got an average of 2 FPS LESS than before upgrading CPU…

Don't know if anyone else is still flying this, but it's really not bad, especially with decent lighting. The -500's range is impressive. I also have some other odds and ends to share with other L1011 enthusiasts. PM me if interested.

Is there any available payware scenery for KXTA (aka Area 51) and/or KTNX - Tonopah Test Range for P3DV5? I would very much like to eliminate the grassy areas which are quite unrealistic.

In short, I am trying to change my sky textures entirely. I've replaced every (140) sky texture file in the Texture folder yet somehow the sim is still using the default ones. I can't seem to find where it's using it from. I've replaced the sky textures now with about four different presets to see if there's any change but nothing noticeable has come up. Any help would be much appreciated.

I just picked up the AH C-119. Although not officially supported in P3D v5, I'm wondering if anyone has this aircraft working correctly in the latest version of P3D? I can't seem to get the aircraft started! The manual is not very helpful. There is one video link on Youtube that does outline the start-up procedure (similar to what the manual shows for pre-flight): I've followed the same procedure in the attached video...no luck in v5. The aircraft will start with "Control+E". I'm guessing I need to make a tweak to either the full flow gain or starter torque (or both) to improve the start-up in v5. I haven't looked into that yet. Hello All, For some reason, several of my airports now have no runway markings and in some cases the runway is shiny and reflective even though conditions are dry. Furthermore taxiways look more like dirt tracks. Any thoughts? Regards, Stephen Shallcross.

Hello, I have 2 questions regarding the new FSLabs ATSU menu. 1) What does "INTS" stand for in the Performance Request section? 2) I'm always getting the message "Fuel report missing". Hi, Just two questions. I'm thinking of buying a twin AC from Alabeo (C421 Golden eagle). I read in the Alabeo subforum here at avsim that it's also compatible with p3dv5. Just point to the p3dv5 directory when installing. I only have A2A and carenado GA. How does Alabeo compare to these two. More like A2A (I hope so) or more like Carenado or something in between? The other question. How does ORBX LKPR perform (fps)? The last aiport I bought from them is YBBNv2. This one is really heavy. I have to set my p3d sliders a few notches back to get acceptable fps. I have a gtx1080ti, 32 GB RAM and a i710700K running at 5.1 GHz. Thanks in advance.

I want to delete the MK Studios scenery for Lisbon (they updated the scenery and I need to delete the old version first) and in the read-me file it says to uninstall the scenery go to the control panel and uninstall it from there. The problem is the scenery is not listed in the control panel. So how do I delete this scenery? Can I just delete the Lisbon folder?

Hi all I am hoping someone can help with a issue I am having with P3D v4.5 The issue is ORBX NZ and A2A aircraft no longer like each other. If I load P3D V4.5 select any airport in NZ and an A2A Cessna 172 the sim completes the loading screen then simply is black then Crash to desk top However if I load A2A Cessna and an Australian airport (also ORBX) all works fine. if I select Airplane Heaven DC3 with a NZ airport the sim loads fine So what could it be about the A2A and Orbx NZ causing the crash to desktop. JustFlight usually includes a dummy weather radar screen to be replaced by third party ones. I have installed subject radar into the DC-8s and it works fine. I also just installed it into their TriStar and... it is installed, but obviously needs some tweaks to size and position. Does anyone have a good config to paste in?
