I have just purchased a new computer for VR, and would like to run FSXSE. My research indicates FSX runs a little better in virtual Reality, plus I have been getting a lot of crashes in P3D in middle of long flights. I have all ORBX products for North America for FSX and for P3DV3. Do I have to repurchase all the products I currently have for FSXSE? Obviously this would affect my decision to migrate. Darrel Z

Hi Folks, Recently upgraded from a perfectly working 3.2 - to 3.4 that crashes all the time and has black clouds around my head... I've already deleted my "shaders" and "p3d config" file in hopes of fixing the crashes... I haven't run a long enough flight to see if the crashes have stopped... The clouds always just stay directly adjacent to my aircraft - as I pass through them they turn white again - and more clouds in front of me turn black... I am continually surrounded in black clouds regardless of geographic location or season... I am running P3D 3.4, ASN, REX, ORBX, UTX... I've tried it without ASN and setting the REX back to default - no joy... Any idea…

Ok so I have a rather complex flightsim setup. I'm using Steam streaming to run P3D/X-Plane. It works quite well given the speed of the internet connection. I've set it up to run outside of my LAN, so pretty much anywhere with decent WiFi. I'm doing this via ZeroTier (software defined networking) which uses a VPN to trick all the connected devices to think their all on the same network regardless of physical location. I've got several EFB software packages and Google Earth running on networked machines all being fed live positional data via GpsGate which works great. I've just downloaded what I took to be the latest update, but at 2GB had some doubts. Opening the Zip produced another 30 odd zips and investigating one of these discovered whatever it is , is dated 2013. No where can I find a "read me" or any instructions as to the contents. No way am I going to install any of this without clarification , perhaps somebody out there could provide it, or maybe ORBX could provide details for their customers. Windows10 P3D v3.4.14.18870 FSX to Prepar3D Migration Tool v 3.2.0.1011 Installed FSCopilot as Administrator, (Already installed o/k in FSX) Opened FSInn UI as Administrator from Start Menu. Checked 'Chat' then closed FSInn. In P3D main folder checked in the Modules folder, FSCopilot.dll (712kb) is present. Ran P3D as Administrator and the message 'Unknown FS version, version=300' appeared. Checked the OK button. In Add-ons menu only FSUIPC showed, no FSCopilot. Any help on this one ?

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how VAS management in P3D works. First let me provide the scenario for an OOM I experienced as I hardly, if ever at all, receive OOM’s. I flew from SEA to LAX with the following add-ons: PMDG 737NGX, FTX ORBX PNW, NCA, SCA, AS16, T2G Seattle, FSDT LAX, and WoAI (however I flew on-line and encountered very little AI enroute or at my departure and arrival airports. Upon turning final to LAX runway 25L I encountered an OOM. This was my first ever OOM in P3D. I have made no changes to my sim for months now and was perplexed as to why this happened. I am using Ezdok in Prepar3D 3 and PMDG 737 and have problem with zoom. I am using a 3 monitor setup and for each camera, the zoom cannot be reduced beyond .30 . I'm running at the highest resolution Prepar3d will let me and this zoom level is unusable. WAY too close! Mouse wheel or keyboard, there is no way to get less than .30. Any ideas? It ruined today's flying here on a rainy day when I open FTX Central and discover it was not possible to get to the interface so I could change active regions or deactivate all specific regions and just use global. I use global only for flying PMDG stuff, and use regionals for mostly VFR or less aircraft. So I ended up doing the migration and now at the gate at KPDX in the NGX we're at 18 frames instead of the normal 26 when global only is active. JV says they are working on restoring what they removed--I hope it's soon. Moderator Nick says one can do this manually in the scenery library so I tried unchecking PNW scenery but alas this corrupted the terrain and texture…

Hi, I just noticed during my flight ENGM-EGKK tonight that my FPS would drop to 15 even with sliders (clouds covering) backed down to "high" entering some sort of nasty weather below Do you also experience this with AS2016+P3DV3.4? 353.06 no SLI

Does everyone still suffer from a shimmering of ground shadows cast by vegetation and buildings? I'm on Nvidia driver 372.90 and the shimmering is so off-putting that I switch these shadow options off in the sim. P3D 3.4.9.

Hi, just bought FTX global ; installed with FTX central 3, seems to work, but in central 3 there is a setting wheel at the bottom and a control panel button in the middle. I cannot acces the control panel: no reaction does nothing Somewhere i read about no aircrafts in FTX ? Why is the button there In the manual they do not mention about this button working only for some other products...

I'm looking for an addon that will allow me to change the ground textures underneath of what the airports sit on, is there anything that does this?

Hi. I deleted the P3D folder in ProgramData by a mistake. The folder rebuilt itself when i started P3D again, but in Scenery Library all my addon scenery is gone. Only the default is left. In scenery.cfg in ProgramData/P3D, my addon sceneries is not listed anymore. How can i get them back? Do i need to manually add them back? Im guessing that will be a little hard with all the ORBX stuff.

Hello all I'm trying to re setup a friends p3d, and we have one problem that I can't fix with ma (small ) knowledge or google skills it is weird, because vc also doesn't load it's texture. Neither for the 737 pmdg or any other aircraft. Any tips? Shaders have been remade. CFG remade, drivers (clean!) reinstalled. vkr victor

Hello Guys, i have used orbx central 2 for a long time, yesterday ive updated or better say installed center 3 i bought a new airport. the open LC and Global base is showing up that they are registred and everything seems ok, untill i start to update the libraries or install dubrovnik airport PLease take a look on the error massage while trying to download all. were do I find the info on using insertions properly I have looked in help and in all the instruction pages , do I bother using it or do I just use my setting in fsx on one page I did find it says fxt up or down but I don't realy no what that does I have installed base, vector, lc euengland which does not show in fxt 3 but it does work well just installed trees works a dream but at present all I dare use is my fsx settings I also have all the free meshes fss0469300

I have built a FDS Cockpit and I am trying to setup WidevieW to sync my views. Details as follows - Dual seat (trying to get views from Captains side aligned). - Three 70" 4K TV's each driven by a PC - side angles 60 degrees - From captains seat I am obviously nearer left screen than right. - Virtual Cockpit views (no panels) I have set angles and played with zoom but cannot get the views properly aligned. If I park at a gate and get the views nearly aligned I then find they aren't aligned on runways or when in the air the horizons are not aligned across the three tv. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks David

Hi After having moved my orbx products with FTX central 3, I discovered that it had placed all orbx entries on top of everything. I looked around for an insertion tool so that I could place ORBX where I want it (below some other addons) But didnt find any ways of doing so. So, am I blind or has it been left out? I had an old version of FTX central 2 that I could use for setting the insertion point, but I dont know how long that will be possible. FTX central 3 changes the insertion point with every install.

Hello, As I know, the south pole and north pole in FSX are bad. But I fly there a lot and I am considering buying P3D. My question is: are the issues about the poles fixed in P3D? Is NZSP there?

I'm not sure what happened, but everything was working fine until now. When I launch P3D it opens up the splash screen, loads up EZdok, and then the simconnect confirm window comes up asking if I want to continue, so I hit yes... and then i briefly see P3D's progress bar load to 100% and then nothing... this is where the default flight start up screen is suppose to show. I still see the simconnect confirm window popping up every 50 seconds stll. But P3D's default flight screen won't appear at all. I check the task manager and still see that Prepar3D.exe is still running in the background. I've tried to restart my computer and still the same. The only thing I did d…

Hi everyone, I recently just joined and I'm planning on getting back to flight sim. I usually fly on fsx steam edition but I want to move to p3d because of that shadow and what not. However there are several things that I wanted to know before actually purchasing p3d. Is now a good time to buy p3d 3.4 since it cost money to upgrade, I don't want to pay now and then have a newer version coming out a few months later and have to pay for the update. I am running on i5-4690K OC to 4.4 GHz and GTX 970, how smooth would I be able to run it? I know I'm getting about 20 FPS on max settings in fsx on the aerosoft a320. Thanks

I was initially very happy that P3D had done away with that terrible wave shoreline effect, however in version 3.3 on it seems to have made an unwelcome comeback. Is there a way to disable this cheesy, cheap looking effect? Thanks, Glenn

Hi Folks: I'm really curious to investigate why I'm having two very different VAS consumptions in my two setups (one is my main PC sim machine, a desktop, and the other is a gaming laptop that I use for testing, traveling, etc.; both specs are described on my forums signature). Both machines are running P3Dv3.4.9 and the scenery and add-ons are mostly the same, with very minor differences. The desktop PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate and the laptop is running Windows 10 Home. The fact is than in my laptop, the VAS consumption is 400-450 MB higher in average, in comparison to my desktop. I thought everything was more or less similar between the two machines, until I did…
