I'm looking for a realistic experience... What is the best paid add on for ATC? My primary interest right now is VFR, thought please answer the question in the context of VFR and IFR. Also, same question but from the standpoint of learning ATC via online like VATSIM, Pilot's edge, etc... What do folks here recommend?

Cannot see any buildings after around 1-2 minute mark. Spawn, and everything is fine, but as soon as 1-2 minute passes, well you can see bellow. PS have GSX enabled

i'm a bit baffled ppl still make (and buy!!) > €100 aircraft for 32 bit simulators. A big gamble for both parties imho. I'm sure I am not the only one who doesnt want to gamble over € 100 on "will it run on my >15 year old sim" let alone "will it run on my patched and upgraded >15 year old sim, that I can't have fun with and may or may not be supported in the near future by a company with a core business of weapon system development." just my 2eurocent.

As the topic suggests I'm thinking of disabling any photo scenery that came with some of my payware airports. The reason I want to do this is I personally think much of the photo scenery looks like crap when you get closer to it compared to FTX Global which most of the times indeed does look like a photo although not 100% accurate compared to real photo scenery. This however doesn't really matter to me since I prefer having something that looks real when I'm looking out of the cockpit window on approach rather than having something that looks like crap but is 100% accurate. Hi All, I have noticed an interesting problem, this only seems to affect Global base, not my open LC or my area scenery. I was flying around Cape Town, South Africa and noticed what I think is incorrect texture loading, it looks like the default scenery is bleeding through and I am getting bright green text appear stating the season as part of the texture. Im running P3D V3.3 and as I say its only that region that I have picked up on it. Any ideas from anyone on a solution to this? Anthony

The other day I decided to do a GA flight in SoCal, happen to pick KSNA, and was annoyed to see houses or some kind of buildings scattered about the airport landscape. I am using 3.4.14 but I can't say for sure that this wasn't there before as I am not in the area that often. Can anyone else check if they see this or if something is corrupt with my system. I actually uninstalled 3.1 and installed 3.4 from scratch. Any suggestions on what to do about it? Thanks,

I have Prepar3d runing now and there are not many helicopter models I can find for this program. I have some for FSX that run OK but many of them do not allow me to display the instrument panel. I move the gauges file from FSX into P3D, outting it in Giages and also into Panels but no joy. does anyone know a good source for P3d helicopter models? Or tricks on how to make FSX Helicopeter models work? Also I find, common with FSX, that I cannot make the panels that do work show the way I want them to. For example the panel usually comes with the center windscreen column sticking out of the top of the panel. When I move the panel up to decrease the size of that col…

Hi Did a flight from EDDF to LEIB twice today and p3d crashed half way there both times. I was flying PMDG737ngx with Aerosoft sceneries for both airports and UT2 installed. Activesky2016 for weather. I have i7 sandy bridge and 2 GTX680 in sli. I am posting here as I know little about out of memory issues. Thanks for any help. Paul

There's been a lot of talk lately about VAS and some people are having better outcomes than others getting into VAS hungry places like Toronto and Berlin. I thought it would be good to talk about solutions we've found and put it all in one place. What apps do you not use or turn off when flying there? (E.g. Vector, RAAS, FS2Crew, external ATC, GSX, Mesh, etc.) What settings do you turn down? What else? If you know the VAS usage requirements of an add-on, let us know!

Hi Folks, I'd like to improve my braking action by making it variable by assigning it to an axis instead of a button... I have a single axis available and would like to combine both the left and right variable brake to this single axis... For differential braking - I'll leave that on my button assignments... This would be used simply to slow the plane during landing roll out by applying equal amounts to both pedals... Is this possible in FSUIPC ??? Thanks... Regards, Scott

Just did a re-install of P3D and while installing the simulator and addons went pretty fast, AI traffic took ages. Installed WoAI and some airlines which are most important to me with AIFP when suddenly, a wild thought appeared in my ever-ingenious brain. Is it (theoretically) possible to put the installed files on a USB drive and when re-installing just putting them back in their respective folders? AI planes with installed textures and aircraft.cfg entries in the SimObjects/Airplanes folder, flight plan files in Scenery/World/Scenery, textures into textures etc. instead of using the WoAI installer and AIFP? Simply copying the ready files into folders would save …

I am aware that lots of folks have been commenting about the current version 4 has VAS problems. I am teetering weather to uninstall my current version and install a clean 3.4. Why I am asking this question is that after I bought and installed the latest ActiveSky16, only to find it won't work with 3.1. Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm pretty close to getting the PMDG 737NG,but I would really like to look at a lighter version. I get a bit frustrated prepping the Pmdg model for a flight. Any thoughts appreciated. Bill W.

I'm moving my main cockpit stuff to a new computer running Win10 (all Win7 before). I'm currently resolving all sorts of new problems this has caused, but one big one which is slowing thi down is that P3D (and FSX too for that matter) automatically restart on an error. I've not had this before. How do I stop it? Can anyone help? (The web reveals only how to stop Windows itself restarting on a crash). The problem iwith automatic restarts is that the logging I'm adding to track the problems down is getting overwritten by the log produced on the next run. I need to get access to things after a crash, and resolve the issues, not run it again immediately without a fix! …

Hello All; Im on P3D v3.4+ Hotfix. I would like to revert back from 3.4 to 3.3. I do have the 3.3 Client, Scenery and Content for 3.3. Should I just uninstall the 3.4 Client and Intal the 3.3 client? Or should I uninstall the scenery and content of 3.4 and replace them with 3.3 versions? Many Thanks, kind regards,

Hello All, I'm hoping someone might be able to offer any thoughts or advice on how to fix this issue I'm having with an abnormally elevated Monterey scenery. The whole field seems to be abruptly elevated approximately 500ft higher than the surrounding scenery. I have the latest ORBX Library, however I do not have the Northern California landclass, which says is "required" (I have several other ORBX sceneries without the landclass and they work perfectly fine.) Any input would be much appreciated!

Last week I installed de P3D 2.5, and is awesome, thanks to LM, almost everything is ok. Good fps rate, very fluid, better graphics . Until now, the only problem i´ve is that I can´t see any traffic in IVAO. In VATSIM with VPilot I can see the other traffic but not in IVAO. Please someone help.

I have noticed that whenever I open up FTX central 3, and then start P3D, the GSX airport cache has to be rebuilt. Shouldn't this only happen when some scenery is changed?
