I've been thinking about this a lot lately. It amazes me sometimes that some software like the PMDG 777, the Aerosoft A320 and FSUIPC are amazingly stable. Other software, not so much. Sometimes I get 2 or 3 issues happen on a day that go weird or cause a crash. Some of us spend a good part of our sim lives fixing things. It's at least mildly infuriating when you're setting up for a flight and realize you're going to have to restart or you're in flight and 'BAM!'...crash. For me, in the order of problems they give: Flight1 Mustang (one of my favorite airplanes)...hangs, sudden crashes of the sim. EZDok (which, I know, there's a replacement coming) which gives errors…

I'm curious if anyone with VR has ran into this one.. this is a doozy so far.. Basically if i look out the left of the plane, watch the ground.. it will stutter every few seconds.. twitchy.. To test this.. I used a clean version of 3.4.9 and the roaming and programdata folders.. reinstalled flyinside.. Same issue.. still there.. super frustrated.. it either started happening a few weeks ago, or was there all along.. Only thing i havent tried was going back a driver version for nvidia.. though with aerofly fs2, i see no stuttering.. seems to be strictly a flyinside thing.. i also tested native p3d vr.. i'm not really seeing it, or not as much anyway. Hi all, Its becoming frustrating how unable I am to fly the PMDG T7 on Fly Tampa's Toronto...I have the LITE pack installed, nearly all checkboxes from the Fly Tampa's config application disabled, autogen trees and building to Sparse...I run PMDG T7, FS2Crew and GSX...and I get an OOM after a while. What's so special with this location after all?

After a descent hiatus from the sim community, I have built a new system and am looking get P3D reinstalled, along with the necessary addons for what I want to fly. To step back in the waters I want to focus on US/Canada Airline operations. I know which aircraft to use as I already own them. But here is my main question. It it has been a good solid year that I have been away and I know there have been a lot of new, game changing, addons. So any input on what I need to pick up would be most helpful. What the must have addons now? I know ASN is usually the way to for weather, and ORBX for land textures. Any other info would be so helpful. Thanks guys!

NEVER MIND. Problem solved. I let the computer run while it was downloading and installing two other addons. When I came back I restarted FTXC3, started P3D and suddenly every airport was there... Very odd. But anyway, it works so... I just had my first real experience with FTXC3. I decided to install PNW and a few PNW airports which I haven't used in years. PNW installed fine (though it took very long) but none of my addon (payware) addons show up in P3D. FTXC3 says they are installed, I can open the control panels for them, P3D even showed that one time message that things were being added and so on but all airports show up as default. There also is no entry at all …

Just want to briefly share the experience that I have just made - in case you also suffer from low VAS in P3D 3.4: - flown from KFAT to KBFL, with A2A Comanche and SCA scenery from ORBX, real weather (AS16), car traffic set to 10%: remaining VAS after the 45 min flight: 300 MB (!). All settings at medium - same flight, same settings except car traffic 0%: 1.400 MB remaining VAS. ...cure for the insane memory bleeding in 3.4? or maybe already mentioned somewhere else. :smile: Cheers, Thomas

These are two different things as there were before both FTX C2 and the FlightSimStore. - FTX Central is the User Interface to manage your OrbX stuff in your computer. You need to have version 3 if you want to run upgrades or install new products from now on. Download and install, that's it. You don't do the license transfer from FSS here. - OrbXDirect is a shop. You need to open a new account in that shop with a new email address (if possible the same that you used at FSS if you have sceneries to transfer) and a new password. Hi, I've been googleing this for 6hrs now with nothing, I have Aerosoft MA Rome installed in FSX and P3dV3.4, the jetways show up and operate without any problems in FSX but in P3DV3.4 the jetways are completely missing, I've tried messing with SODE but to be honest I have now idea on how to use it, so I don't know if SODE is the issue or not as they show and work fine in FSX, so can anybody first enlighten me as to why they would be missing in P3D and not FSX? The change to Orbyx new version seems to have been well planned at the orbyx side. Lets face it. the prime benificiary is Orbyx as we do lose the ability to control our sim and what it selected on it. My big gripe is support. Ben has obviously been killing himself with trying to cover the whole support area so my gripe is not with him. It seems however orbx has considered a five day week applies and I see support questions have not been answered all weekend. Obviously not enough support staff were trained and provided. Orbyx may complain about the cost but the cost to them pales against the time we have spent. If they had to pay for that it would bankrupt them…

Haven't flew P3d v2.4 for more than a year and just flew it over the weekend and happy to see that everything still runs fine. However of course v3 has been out for more than a year now and I'm considering the upgrade. I know I missed the boat when the upgrade discussion were happening the most but I can really appreciate some tips on upgrade. I know v3 can be installed side by side with v2.4 and that's what I'm going to do. I guess my major concern like many people here is the addons. I have lots of Orbx stuff like Global, Vector, Australia, NA, EU addon etc etc etc. Do I have to re-purchase every P3D V3 version (if available)? Or I can just download the v3 version a…

Hi all, Yeterday I installed TO and I have it working. I installed it because of the low framerate at Mega Airport Frankfurt V2 ( triple monitor setup with photoscenery + custom ag + multiple cloud layers ). Two days I tested and modified things and the result was a smooth environment. However , traffic I had at 3% which already gave 8-9 aircraft at the airport. So, after installing TO I tried it manually and it deleted flights/aircraft. At 6% I have 10-12 aircraft with TO set to 20. Then I did a flight from Schiphol to Frankfurt with TO set to Auto. At approach I checked TO ( 47 --> deleted 27 ) so it seemed to work. However, taxiing at the air…

The scenery load order seems messed up for some standalone airports. My Fall City keeps looking really weird, with another airport loading on top. Then I have to manually move it to the top, but whenever FTX Central 3 gets a hold of the load order, it moves it back down under the NA scenery, making it weird again. I dread to think what's happening at the other airports.

Hi Folks, Just wanted to ask please, I am currently using a one month subscription to test P3D....works very well!.....and will need to upgrde to the Academic Licence once this expires. I have installed Orbx UT2 AS Airbus ASN, these for testing reasons...my system is well behind...i72600 oc 970 GC...but I get great performance. Not quite sure if I will go for it yet...like it a lot but I would like to see what Xplane 11 has to offer too as it is about to release... Dear valuable admin team! Some of you know me, I was an admin here for over a decade. I love this place and this community Tom has leaded for years before leaving us. I respect your work but with your permission I would like to give you my opinion about this P3D forum. Actually, there is no community because there is no life. This all might be related to my 1080 SLI testing i'm doing, unsure.. I'm running into several issues.. first.. When i first put the second card in, i was experiencing horrific performance.. 12fps where in the heavy hitting chicago midway with rain i would be at 23 fps.. so i opted to remove and reinstall flyinside.. slightly better but this then caused more issues..i thought ok, back to normal.. move onto more testing.. but.. Now when i try to launch with ForceVRModeDev = 1 or from the flyinside exe itself.. it doesnt go to vr mode, just standard 2D.. so at this moment i'm removing oculus and reinstalling, unsure whats causing this.. Hi, I just bought the MilViz T-38 advancedd and love it. However, no matter what I set my P3D sound slider to for engines it's way too quiet in the cockpit. I have seen a lot of YT's and their sound seems to be fine. In one YT I saw he mentioned that the sound is contolled externally of the sim. How do I access this? I have P3D 3.2 Windows 7/64 High end machine. Creative Soundblaster Z SBX. Thanks for any help at all. This is the only plane that does this.

Hello friends. I have a problem with the assignation of zoom in/out to my joystick/yoke. I do not find where the keys are in the "menu" of controls, in prepar3d. I have looked for the keys "-" and "=" to see the possible names for them, such as "zoom in", "zoom out" or something similar but I have not found anything. Moreover, I did it with fsuip one time.. but I am not be able to find it again. Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance. :wink: Edit: I have just found in fsuipc, updating it to the last version. I do not find the keys in Prepar3d.
