May not have been my first choice but the airport/region definitely falls within the category of "good enough" and since FT is doing it, I'll have to check it out.

Hi guys, In the screenshot forums i saw many beautiful pics which have sim savyy sat africa in the description. I wonder where to achieve this scenery. The file library gave no results, nor did google. The only sim savyy website i could reach seems to be offline. Anyone has a tip for me where to purchase their products? Thanks in advance, Tris

I have made up my mind and go for P3D. But what else should I update? Let´s start with the ai traffic. I have had all kind of freeware stuff for ai traffic in FSX (WoAI, MAIW etc). What about traffic in P3D? Will tehy work or would this be right time to go to payware? And which one of the payware Ai addons should I pick up? UT? MyT? I fly mainly (95%) of my flight time in Europe, Northern Africa, Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and USA.

Hi, Anyone tried this? http://www.accelid.co.at/showproducts_en.php?id=2 It has DCS listed in the compability list, so maybe it is possible to run it with Prepar3D? It looks pretty promising when combined with Oculus Rift. Lukasz

Hello Everyone, I'm making a home Cockpit for Cessna 172/182/206 and I would like to make a G1000 Glass Cokpit. I would like to have your advice on the Soft for the G1000 : - Project Magenta (qCompatible with P3D and X-Plane) - Mindstar (Seems good and not expensive). - Flight 1. What do you think ? Is anyone else getting virus warning when trying to install rexdownloadmanagerlite.exe? Bitdefener keeps telling me this file is infected and it's coming from the rexstore. I've had warning from Flight1 software too, but not virus warnings.

Hi There, I am so sorry about my English language! but I have problem with add-on Airplanes and airport like Frankfort, Dubai, Rome. Also with out add-on. Hey guys, So far I use to fly on FSX Simulator. Now that I upgraded my computer I want to install P3D. But my first indecision is whether to install Win 8.1/64 or 10/64, what do you think is better for the simulator performance? Thank you

Anyone else seen this before? As you can see in the screenshots below the visibility decreases to like 0 feet and this happens maybe every 15-30 seconds or so and lasts for a couple of seconds and then the visibility is normal again. I'm using AS16 and HDEv2 cloud and sky textures. Screenshot 1 shows normal visibility where screenshots 2 and 3 show the decreased visibility.

Yesterday, after installing version 3.3 I decided to look at FTX central seeing if there was any updates there. The only thing I have installed by Orbx is trees, nothing else. When I opened it it said it had two updates, and the first one said default and there was a list of items, including total upgrade of FSX or P3D, ground textures, auto textures for buildings, and about 12 more items. I hit installed, and to my surprise it started downloading about 1.5 GBs worth of items. The other update was a very small one, I forgot the title, and that went very quickly. I am happy to announce that I have just purchased a few new components for a new system. I am transferring a few of my older components from the older build that I bought not too long ago. 1TB HD SSD 500GB GTX 970 4GB 500W Power Supply And these new components. What do you guys think? Will it be a good build?

I have been using a 4 year old 22 inch Asus Monitor at 1920x1080 for a few years and thought about upgrading. The choice was a VR headset or a 32inch Acer Predator IPS G-Sync monitor. Both are roughly the same price. I chose the monitor and wow its amazing. I can now fly my jetliners without having to zoom in to read the instruments at all. At 4k or even 2k on a 32inch screen even the tiniest digit on the Cockpit display screen is easily readable for me and sharp (e.g. the engine exhaust temperature in the Aerosoft A320) even when zoomed out. Makes a real difference and I started noticing details I did not notice before. Programming the FMC also does not need a zoom in a…

I've been fighting this one for the last 24 hours and have no clue what to try next. I'm getting strange squared tiles sorrunding a massive amount of area around whatever airport I load. As you can see of the screenshot below, the great lakes are all messed up. I initially thought it was ORBX Vector, because once I unchecked the vector boxes in the scenery library everything went back to normal. However, the same thing happens if I try to load Ultimate Terrain X v2. Even with a clean scenery.cfg, if I activate vector or UTX (separately), I get this same issue. The only other scenery I have loaded is OFX mega mesh and Freemesh X. What am I missing? What is causing this? An…

This is a new one for me. While flying from KDEN to KASE, twice now I've had my display go 95% black. During the flight I am running AS16, Pilotedge and ezdok. A minute or so before it happens the camera view starts rocking forward and back. It's odd. Then poof, blackness. Event viewer shows the following, any help would be fantastic!!! Aerosoft have now revamped this product and provided an installer for P3D V3. If you already own it - just go to your account and download. Happy flying

Hi all Putting this one out at the same time as writing to developer. Super Traffic board is a great addon, but since installing it I am having a little frustration with startup. I use SIMStarter NG and when I start a saved scenario (this one a Twin Otter on Stand One at Innsbruck) the Virtual Cockpit loads and the addon scenery for Innsbruck fine - after about 10 secs it jumps to the first AI Aircraft - on switching back to the Twotter the Innsbruck scenery loads very slowly and then in the wrong order so houses float in the air - the jump to the AI seems to disrupt scenery loading - anyone any ideas. Hi, Having a strange issue. I use pfpx as a flight planner and export to the p3D V3 folder in documents. The file is there. However, after I finish a flight or try to go back and use the pln file again it's no longer there. Anybody know what might be causing it? Thanks Scott Gerfen

I would love to see these 2 modern tubeliners being properly made with all the bell and whistles for P3D. I've seen an Aerosim 787 on some videos on YouTube that are being flowin in P3D. But When looking on Aerosim's website, it seems to be for FSX only. I've done some researching and heard that there's an update for P3D v3 but couldn't find anything regarding that. Does anyone here fly this plane in P3D and could give me some information on how to get this to work in P3D.

I have been using flight simulators on and off since subLOGIC released Flight Simulator 1.0 for the TSR-80. So the progress I've seen in the technology since then has been amazing, to say the least. About 5 years ago I stepped away, along with my flying in real life. Coming back to the hobby now with the prospective of what has happened in the 5 years vs. what has happened since PC flight simulators really began I have to say I am disappointed in Prepar3d. Fundamentally I see very little progress. Hi Avsim, I'm new to these forums and I have a question about YMML. After purchasing YMML for use with P3d V3.4, I seem to have no static aircraft displayed - even though the option is ticked in the user settings. I own both the Australia region and FTX Global. Was I meant to install the scenery in a specific order or something?? Regards, Adam

I'm just wondering who on this forum thinks that the latest version of P3D v3.4 (including hotfix 2) is somehow worse on VAS. I've not actually changed my addons and yet I'm getting OOM errors on flights I used to do quite regularly. Is anyone else experiencing something similar? There appears to be a thread on the LM site: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=120967 But I was wondering if anyone has encountered it here and found a way to prevent it? I'm using Simstarter NG at the moment and have disabled a lot of scenery, to still get OOM's and again I've not touched my config. Cheers Craig

I'm putting together a new computer for P3D and X-Plane. Is it possible to move my whole P3D installation (all on C: drive) to the new computer? I have Orbx addons etc etc. Have no idea whether a simple folder copy will work or not. I'm also considering another option is to take the current C: drive which is already a SSD 1TB and plug it to the new computer, install windows 10 (the old system is win7) on top of it and see how things go. But even if that works all the junks accumulated over the last six years on that drive will be kept. Not sth really desirable for me. Ok so I've got a somewhat annoying issue. As I'm flying along, I don't notice and 'micro stutters' that so many people complain about. But what does happen, is that every few minutes the sim will freeze for a few seconds, and then continue. The freeze lasts anywhere between 1-5 seconds. It's especially annoying as I use Flyinside with my Oculus rift, and it causes it to go back to the menu, and back into the sim again - massively immersion breaking! I've also tried it without the VR system and get the same issues. Is there anything anyone can recommend to sort it out? I've tried scaling down the scenery/gfx settings but it doesn't seem to help.. I did some "relative" performance testing today to get an idea of how settings impact my P3D V3.2 experience. Here are the results of that testing: The baseline graphics settings I used as a starting point are HERE. The above table indicates variances from the Baseline. There are NO tweaks, the Prepar3d.cfg is "as is". The 5960X has HT OFF so 8C/8T. Test flight scenario files HERE for anyone that wants to compare with their setup.
