We are ten years into FSX/ESP/P3D and the simulator still crashes with a mouse click. For me most often as I'm lined up on the runway with clearance. I usually have 60-90 minutes vested in the setup, weather/flight planning/VA/ATC etc by this point. Event viewer shows an unhandled exception, .NET framework. I've had this very same problem with multiple computers, FSX and P3D, multiple add-on aircraft. How is it that after all this time a mouse click can still bring it all down?

I recently picked up a couple of extra monitors on a great holiday sale. I now have 3 27 inch 1080 monitors. My aging system, however, is really struggling to support pushing the extra pixels. Single monitor performance with a few graphical compromises (limiting shadow and reflections mainly) is more than acceptable. Throw the two extra monitors on, however, and I really have to cut way back on the auto-gen and airport objects to maintain any sort of framerate above 20. Current specs: i5 4570 @ 2.9 (supposedly dynamically boosts to 3.2 when needed) I'm not a over-clocker...yet, 8GB RAM, GTX 770 4GB So my question is for triple monitor support, what would be bigges…

Hi everybody, Its a delemma - ORBX /A2A/ IS as always hitting us with great scenerys but, Not everybody like Rob who seems to not have any kids or relative draining your wallet in December needs to some sort of use there hart spent money on a platform that likely is undergoing. :wink: :smile: Maybe thats why PMDG ,FSL etc is holding short of a release ? , who knows and this is only speculation offcause but i have never seen such a huge amount of BETA time in the history of my own flight experience. Hello, I recently reset my PC, My Sim was running great for a while but recently the Framerate has been all over the place between 20-50. My Sim just does it out of the Blue. It also doesn't look as well as it did back before I reset my PC. I also unparked my CPU and that might have had a hit to the stability of my Frames. I Run P3D V3.3.5 ORBX FTX Global & OpenLC EU Many addon airport sceneries Many aircraft like the PMDG NGX and the 777 Graphical enhancements like REX and AS16 with REX SC My System: i7 4790K @ 4.5GHz GTX960 2GB Model 8GB 2400 MHz RAM Seagate 1TB barracuda Drive Any help would be much appreciated! Wondering if anyone has heard any news on Pacific Islands Simulations (aka PacSim)? Went to visit their forums for any news on SLC, and it seems the forums are down or just plain gone. The link to the forums is gone completely off the main page. I had a bookmark to the forums and all it says is Forum is now offline. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Main page and their store seem fine, and someone took the time to change it to remove and forum links, but, no messages as to why. Just wondering if anyone has and info. I have noticed a strange issue in P3D v3.4 HF2 where my sim seems to pause at random while flying. It doesnt crash but it pauses anywhere from 2 seconds to 5 seconds. Anyone else seeing this issue? Is it related to the VAS enhancements they have made?

Hi folks. Years ago I bought, at a great price this company's planes the Beech18 and the Ford Tri-motor. They were and are good value for the money. I have now moved into P3Dv3 and installed these two planes into P3D just by pointing the installer to LM P3D. The Ford Tri-Motor is perfect, love it! The Beech18 has only one issue and its something I don't have the skills to fix. The Windows are frosted over, can't see out them but the external model, sounds, gauges etc all work fine. The developer included that they referred to as a glass fix, one with alpha and one without alpha channel. I tried both files and still can't get clear view windows. …

Hi I got myself in some trouble by opening Simdirector end playing arround with it. After opening a prevous saved flight in Simdirector I closed it and since then all objects are disapeared from the airport and the ground isn't flattend anymore I only got the appron, taxiways ans runway? Tried to delete the add-on airport and reinstall it but nothing changed? I think there must be some kind of exclusion file that overwrites al the existing object. But I got no clue? Can't find anything in the file structure that is causing such issue? Any idea's arround here? Thank in advance Bert

Notice on landing today there are trees on the taxi-way. Not a big problem but would like to repair if possible. Great product, use it all the time. John Burwash

AVG Anti virus program (Disabled) Everything else was deleted off this computer prior to instalation. My problem is: When starting Prepar3D it starts and comes up with the initial start scene on the runway. After about 10 seconds the page goes black and i get the following message: This device (AMD Radeon R3 Graphics) stopped working for the following reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HUNG. Hello , I have the following programs and when I ask support they are not very clear so here is my question if someone can give me an advise , I have the following programs and I am not sure if I need to run all of them or just pick up one or two : My computer is having a strong video card and huge hard drive so the PC is not an issue : - Rex Texture Direct with soft clouds - Rex Essential plus over drive - ASN active sky next I also have the full version of FTX global, Europe north america vector and base pack My question is : do I run the above three programs from Rex and ASN same time or do I have to deactivate some option in any to avoid overl…

After updating FTX Central to v.3 I started downloading updates (Ftx Global Base, Vector and LC Europe) FTX Global Vector generated repeated errors. According to instructions I am attaching below the relevant file. Hope that somebody can help. Thanks, Giorgio

Anyone else seeing this? I basically have some photoscenery background, and I have the Landmark FBO buildings/ramp on the far east end of the field, but nothing else. I just flew in tonight and it was really dark hehe... of course I was flying online but I did find my way in with the GTN safe taxi operating.

Hi all, Yesterday I installed the autogen from NL2000 ; trees, houses, buildings. I remarked that I have missing buildings in the center of all major cities. First I thought that they had not done these, but the ere ag files that cover these spots too. I have FTX Global installed and later France VFR products. France VFR makes a copy of some of the Autogen files, like default.xml , materials.spb , autogendesriptions.spb and roofdescriptions.spb. It might be possible that FTX Global has changed thoses files and the backup that FranceVFR made is not the default one. To exclude any issues with the NL2000 autogen I want to reinstall the default Autogen fold…

I wonder how it would work if only the scenery / traffic / "leaving world" and maybe ATC components of P3D v4 were migrated to 64 bit, leaving the kernel sim in it's 32 bit, and thus ensuring compatibility with most of the aircraft add-ons. A good example is when ESP/ P3D, and other platforms like X-plane, are used as visuals generators for flight simulators like ELITE or Aerowinx PSX, which are 32 bit. On a first step, LM could try to upgrade the World / Visuals / AI Traffic / .... to 64 bit, and then, on a new version and seeing how this would cope with the usual limitations imposed by a full 32 bit platform, migrate the kernel sim as well ( ? )

Season's greetings everyone, For those who have upgraded to the lastest client version, have you had any issues with the latest version? I have a fairly stable previous version - although I'm pretty sure it's 3.3.5 - I need to check. I think I rolled back when I developed issues with the previous 3.4. Just wondered if there were any significant reasons not up upgade. Have fun.

After installing A2A Connie - I assigned several new views in Ezdok. (Probably messed up here) Ended up freeze keyboard views when hitting some keys, such as open ATC window, while Y slew was OK. HAT switch views is OK. Deleted a lot of key assignments. Did not help. Lost A2A aircraft all drop down submenu such as SHIFT 3 refuel. Uninstalled EZdok - after restore key config. Deleted SITUATION in config. Reinstalled A2A aircraft. Still no drop down submenu. Starting P3D there still a EZdok ghost somewhere. There is a folder in programfiles 486 called EZCA witn an .exe file. Tried to delete it but not allowed. Want to uninstall P3D and start…

I just bought the global package from ORBX + Norway and it basically digs the airport under the ground - making it impossible to actually use it. I've tried reinstalling both FSX and the ORBX installs but the same thing happens over and over. Does anyone have any solutions?

Well I decided to try a 'professional' AI package and grabbed MyTraffic 6 off the Simmarket today. I installed it with no problems. I get traffic a plenty but I have an annoying issue that is going to make this package pretty much useless unless I can find a solution. Doesn't matter what aircraft I spawn in as, it happens regardless. My test airport has been KSFO from Flightbeam. My traffic is set to 25% and I use Traffic Manager to Cull traffic down to 50 planes or less. My FPS is good. What looks like is happening is when certain AI planes spawn in it induces a huge lag/stutter. You can watch the FPS counter drop about every 4 seconds. It will be …

Hello all, I hope you've all had a good Christmas. I invested in Chillblast Performance PC a few days ago and have just been setting up Prepar3D V3.4 on it. I'm having terrifying scenry issues at the moment and I can't figure out why at all considering this was a top of the line PC with a GTX1080 graphics card, X2 1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD's. I currently have installed a few add on airports and the following ORBX products.
