So as the title says, I'm thinking of trying some long haul flights. I mostly fly the 737NGX around the US but I'm in the mood to try something new and different. I'm between the 777 and the newly released 747 from PMDG but not sure which one to go with... What's everyone think? Side note: When you folks perform longer flights, do you use the sim multiplier - or go for real time? -Chris

Hey, Couldn't really find any up to date review of this bird, and seems like it was recently updated to work well with p3D v3? Anyone uses it? Might I ask how is it? From description it looks pretty detailed which I can really appreciate. Is their G1000 hard on frames? Thanks in advance for any responses :smile:

Hey SLI Users, This is a very odd behavior that I just saw with Oculus Home and Nvidia Drivers. I have SLI enabled but as soon as I start Prepar3d (with Rift being connected) by default - Oculus home runs too. As soon as the Oculus home runs, it kills the P3D's SLI even though NVIDA control panel will say SLI is enabled. I can see it in the graphs of MSI Afterburner - the 2nd video card just goes idle. Now if I have disable Oculus services and runtime and just run P3D on the monitor, then the SLI is working on full blast. Since, the only way to use P3D with VR is with Flyinside for the time being. It is able to run in VR-SLI but I have a feeling that the sim is…

Hello guys, P3D 3.4 here, CTRL+SHIFT+Y does not call the tow plane anymore. In the keyboard controls page tow plane has its right setting with CTRL+SHIFT+Y. I think there should be somewhere in my p3d folders a .dll or an .exe or a gauge or something else about towing that could be corrupted. Does anyone know where to look at? Or, alternatively, what should I reinstall, client, content or scenery? Many thanks. Roberto Rizzo

Hi there, I have an obscure problem that hits me from time to time, I have no idea what causes it and would be grateful for any advice. In my experience, the normal behaviour of autopilots in FSX/P3D is that they do clean, coordinated turns. In my current P3D installation (and I've experienced this before on a separate installation), the autopilot forgot how to coordinate turns, so it starts banking, the ball goes out the center, after a few seconds the ball (and the aircraft) swings violently in the other direction (is that a "dutch roll"?). In effect, I have to assist the AP during every turn by coordinating with the rudder pedals. So here are my two (…

Hello, I have EZCA installed into P3D 3.4, but when I get 40 fps or 30 fps it is very sketchy while the sim itself is moving well. Anybody know how to fix? EZCA 1.18 -Dillon L

Hi, Something has change for the worse the last couple of days for sure . Today i saw a 350mb VAS spike after landing at EKCH with 0920 UTC AS2016+ASCA but thats just an observation I could not get my sim smooth and desided to try HT on and AM=116 which was nice but still not happy . Then i came across the FFTF=0.01 that was put in my p3d.cfg (PTA ?) and removing that combined with Tribble buffering i am back with a crispy smooth none blurry sim like really smooth. But for some reasons i tried switching forth and back with Fullscreen vs Windowmode and i can produce a VAS increase at about 200MB. (SLI driver 373.06) Just an reminder to all these VAS leaks .…

I really am bad using a stick with my new A320-X and is trying to not break my passengers head or knees upon landing. Sometimes loading the panel state twice helped with the "issues" i got upon loading a saved scenario (initial approach for instance) Any program out there that simply just measure my landing performance and gives a -rate via FSUIPC for instance ? I saw someone doing it via LUA on earlier versions but since i do want to learn it would be nice Thanks Michael Moe

I have lots of ORBX FTX sceneries, PMDG 737/777, RA Turbine Duke & Lancer, FSCaptain and use ActiveSky Next. If I just do the client file update is it reasonable to expect no real problems post update to P3D 3.4, or is that wishful thinking? What I don't get is if all that is needed to update to the current version is the Client update, why the other two components are offered, and more specifically, why does one decide to do all three versus just the Client? Hi Guys My last topic was deleted for some reason but anyways, I have managed to fix my blurries which was mainly in the distance a little. now my question is with vsync I am running unlimited fps as my tv refresh rate is 60hz and is set at that in nvida control panel now do I need to turn vsync on in p3d with triple buffer ticked? or keep it off as it is ATM or is that only if I set my refresh rate at 30hz in NCP? and would I need to set vsync half refresh rate in inspector? For FSX I have used (and loved) freeware version of the vRoute (for IFR flights) and Plan-G (for VFR flights) for flight planning. It looks like P3D is not able to read flight plans from the vRoute because of their format. What would be best add on for P3D flight planning? (Freeware, I hope). Or is there a way to make the tools I mentioned above to work with p3d? I am using default ATC and do not have any fancy add ons.

Just found out that on my system ( latest 3.4 ) checking/unchecking scenery while P3D is already running does not work anymore. As I use Scenery Configurator before starting up P3D I never saw this. Activating/deactivating scenery before starting up P3D with SC is working fine. I had P3D built a new cfg file but it remains the same. Anyone else experienced this ? Hi! No suggestions seeking today just a word about the level of realism THIS flight sim reached today, not tomorrow. I mean i'm flying in a tweaked P3D V3.4 my A2A Spitfire between YHBA and YGLA (FTX Orbx Australia), AS2016, PTA, AI planes 100% (i use WOAI) with FSUIPC traffic limiter, (freeware) AI Ship Traffic, precipttfx, Thrustmaster T16000 and pedals, 40 FPS steady with highest graphics (cloud shadows etc...)! Yes, 64bit did not arrive yet, and i have to achieve this smoothness in FTX SOCAL LAX, but WOW it is great to fly, now, in this conditions!! Hi guys - hoping someone has some insight into this, very bizarre, issue I seem to have picked up... I installed Scenery Config Editor a couple of days ago. I used it to create a number of groups for P3Dv3 and activated a small subsection of my scenery (including all the default) to see if that helped with better performance. However, I have now lost all ILS across the whole world, at both add-on and default sceneries! They do not appear in the aircraft or on the P3D map view. I have reactivated all the scenery areas and this problem still persists. Before I do anything more drastic, any thoughts on what caused this and any suggested fix. I can confirm that no oth…

So, generally accepted that V4 will be 64 bit, what else do you think would be a 'plausible' but significant change to the new platform? Also, true or false: 64 bit will rid P3D of blurry textures?

Using Prapar3D v.3.4 I do not see any cotrails either behind AI aircraft and user aircraft. IKs there any setting possible to change this?

Hi Been with this hobby for over 20 years and always flying the low and slow Cessnas and Pipers for which I have enjoyed the CH and Saitek yokes. My present interest is with ultralight aircraft like Ants Airplane Tecnam Sierra or the Realair Legacy. Both these aircraft use stick rather than yoke so I figure I will invest in a joystick for the sake of a little realism Can anyone recommend a good joystick for a civilian smaller aircraft. I already have the Saitek TPM for throttle/Prop/Mixture so I dont need one of those military joysticks that include a seprate military style throttle.
