I currently have Digital Design's Tenerife South (GCTS) scenery installed in my sim. I also have (but NOT installed) MK Studios Tenerife North (GCXO) scenery. I would like to know if the MK Studios GCXO scenery will work with the Digital Design scenery. If it does is there something I have to do for them to both work? And I do know MK Studios make both Tenerife North and South sceneries, but I like the Digital Design version of South better.

Too bad OpenLC Asia is on hold indefinitely, given development in Ukraine, all releases in the region would surely benefit from its release! (We can only hope it might happen at some point in time)

Him all, Recently installed this in V5 and thought I would try a C&D startup. There's supposed to be a fuel prime handle on the left side of the pilot's seat. Ain't nuthin' there as far as I can see. I used used EZCA to look over there and there is seat, followed by wall. I'm hoping this is looking right at me and someone can lead me to the promised land, followed by me apologizing for being blind :>) Mark

Good evening, first of all: I know, P3D V3 is very old and unsupported. And for now I don't have the money for a dozen of new addons, which I already bought for P3D V3.. So I keep flying in the V3. A few months ago I started again to fly in Prepar3D on a new PC. But I have the problem, that the Groundtextures are blurry all the time. Especially on cruising flight level. Just the textures right below me are loaded and sharp. I'm using OrbX Global and Europe LC and already tried to reinstall the whole system. Also I tried all the P3D.cfg tweaks, but no result. I'm trying to "hangar" most of my third party downloaded aircraft into an internal SSD that is only currently used for Orbx, and other add-on scenery. The add-on a/c I want to move are located on a variety of drives. Some are in the P3D root drive and others are scattered across my computer. As an example I'll just use Airplane Heaven Cessna 140. I have put it on my F drive but can't access it in P3D. Path is F:\Addon Aircraft P3D\AH_Cessna140\Content\SimObjects\Airplanes\AH_Cessna140 I've tried to copy some of the template XML's but I'm doing something wrong. I posted something at the FSlabs forum but didn't get much of a response so I wanted to try here. I was having issues getting the throttles to match the detents on the lever. I tried using FSUIPC to control the axis but that didn't seem to work. I got them to match by not using FSUIPC for the axis but using the P3D settings for the axis. However, I had the hardest time trying to keep them in the detent in the sim. Though my lever and the VC seemed to be in the detent, i kept getting warnings that I and ASYM Thrust or that I was out of the CL detent. Does anyone else have this and if so, how do you get around that? Is there a sensitivity that i need to be in? Thank…

Today I bought Carenados DA-62 and I wanted to share my impressions with this plane taxiing to runway 10 of Montserrat, Freeware by Blue Sky https://blueskytropicalsceneries.weebly.com/downloads.html Departing Montserrat Approaching Guadeloupe, Le Raizet Airport by Taxi2Gate. Could fly it out of the box without reading a manual. Ok, I fly flightsims for some years but it really works well. And its a beauty.

I really enjoy using Enhanced Atmospherics (EA) in P3dv5.3, but I just may have to shut it off and deal with the visuals that normally seem rather unrealistic and bright to me. Why? Well, the planes' cockpits are so very dark and the overall look of the sim is pretty dark. Adjusting monitor brightness or brightness in the sim is not the answer because it tends to "wash out" cloud lines and other details. Have any of you solved the somewhat old problem of being able to employ EA and yet be able to see the cockpit clearly and the outside environment in realistic shades of color? Stan

Hello, I just did a fresh install of P3D v5 and have only install FSDreamteam airports, Orbx Global and Orbx OpenLC North America. I am having problems with various AI airplanes floating above the tarmac. I there something that I can do or did I do something wrong? So far I have the latest update from theFSDreamteam updater. Hi, I just saw that while Justsim has released Gardmoen for MSFS they also stated a new version will come for P3D. No mention so far as to which P3D versions will be supported or when it will be released. I wonder what sort of updates can we expect compared to the old Aerosoft scenery and if it will be worth purchasing? Justsim FB link

Hi Folks, I was reading up on the details surrounding Intel's 12th generation CPU (Alder Lake) that will feature a change in CPU design, the so-called big.LITTLE design. I am wondering what effect that will potentially have on P3D performance? Do you have any thoughts or predictions of whether the supposed overall performance gain will positively impact sim performance given that the high priority threads will run mainly on the big core and other threads running potentially on the "background" or LITTLE cores? Will LM need to adapt P3D to take advantage of this thereby could we be looking at another P3D update in the not too distant future? …

Hi, I have AIG with MSFS and P3Dv5 and i just noticed on my latest flight with AIG traffic Controller at 100% and FSUIPC showing max 30 aircrafts responded to 0 aircraft. what is first to check please ? appreciated 🙂 Michael Moe

After installing the KB5020044 update for Windows 11 I see an improvement of 5/10 fps on scenarios. In the release notes of the update KB5020044 there is the resolution of an issue that affects the performance of some games and applications. This issue is related to GPU performance debug features.

What is the order of execution and which one has priority (actually affects how P3D functions)?

Hi everybody, since several flights I have an odd issue with my P3d 4.5. I have been getting messages at the top of my screen "Activesky is in control" with the according wind directions and wind speeds. I didnt chance anything in my setup and tried several settings in Active Sky (all messages are deactived) and also within P3D (all messages deactivated etc.). You can see the message line on the screen below. Could anyone tell what triggers this message and how to deactive it? If I will close the message line it will immediately pop up again. I dont want to have any message lines in my sim and they really distract me... Thank you for your help and BR F…

Was posted 18 October, and is just a short reference to a company that makes scenery - airfields/airports. But it occurred to me that the header title: "Prepare Yourself for Challenging Approaches" could mean that we should prepare ourselves for a new version of p3d with these sceneries coming with it. Hello 747 drivers, I have been considering for a while the purchase of the Boeing 747 by PMDG for P3D, and then I read the post as of a few months back regarding the lack of an update for the ARINC424 specifications and the resulting issues with LNAV when flying DME arcs or RNP approaches. Taking this into consideration, would you recommend the purchase of the PMDG 747 nonetheless, or is this LNAV issue a deal breaker? I know the MSFS version is due for release sometime in 2023, but I still enjoy Prepar3d, and I miss flying the 747. What is your take? For those who own it, following that post, would you still buy it? Or is it a waste of money, given the complete lack…

So now I've upgraded to a 13700k, 3080Ti 32GB DDR5 5400 (CL36) ... off a c7000MB/s M.2 drive.... ...Is P3D still going run like "rude word left out" ? Last time I tried v4 with a i7 7700k and a GTX 1080 every time I decended to land in say a PMDG 747, as I broke the cloud base at 3000ft AGL... the autogen would be missing and the ground textures all blurry. EVERY time. So I guess I'm asking: has v5 improved in this area, and/or ... will a much more powerful PC make a difference in this regard ? Twice now the Captain's openable windscreen has opened unintentionally. It is VERY easy to open - left click and hold anywhere on the windscreen, then drag. The problem I have is that I cannot close it, either on ground stationary, or in flight (!). [Actually, the problem exists with the Co-Pilot window as well] The cursor changes to 'pointing hand' when over the window, and left clicking and holding produces the 'clenched fist' cursor. But dragging is completely ineffective. I have tried clicking on the window handle push-button, the assist handle towards the lower front of the window frame - nothing seems to work. I ran into this strange issue, V5 was going well for many months with several long hauls etc. Very recently I noticed an issue when i tried to add a new airport scenery via scenery Libray. So when I choose " add area" and normally it shows P3DV5 directly and entire drives and folders to browse through , instead it shows a single "Desktop" folder. When I move curosr around it shows "availability status error". Steps I took after searching was > 1. Backup scenery CFG and delete so as P3D could build a new one ( didnt fix issue) 2. Tried repair using installer ( didnt fix) 3. Reinstalled the entire P3DV5.3 ( didnt fix and it remains same after…
