I am slowly reinstalling my P3D scenery and I just installed Flightbeam's Phoenix scenery. Does anyone know how to remove the static KC-135 aircraft? On my old computer I had these static planes removed but I forgot what I did. When Flightbeam had the support forums the answer was in there but now the forums are closed and I can't look.

I'm looking to sim some Grant Aviation flights in the Aleutians. They fly Piper Navajo's from Dutch Harbor (PADU) to Arak (PAAK). Is there a good Navajo that works in v5 (looks like Carenado is the only one, but it says some features only work in FSX, not P3D - maybe specific to RXP gauges)? If no, is there a good alternative? TIA, sg

Hi all I am relatively new to the B787 and still a bit confused with the step climb process. I know in the PMDG planes, it calculates them and climbs them automatically, but what happens or what do I have to do in the 787? Thanks in advance and stay safe out there

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that beautiful scenery by Paulo Ricardo yet. Spectacular approach at day and night, for this detail level surprisingly at acceptable performance. Even the FSLabs A319 has made it safely. Reasonable price as well. Mike Edit : Available at Simmarket

DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a discussion about the "death" of P3D. It's a discussion about what path forward for the sim, and perhaps what that could hold for those of us who still like to use it. So, I think this could be a worthwhile discussion - if we keep our wits about us. But we're skating on very thin ice here, folks - let's keep it mature, respectful, and most importantly: UNLOCKED, please! There was a recent thread here in the P3D forum that contained some questionable as well as some incontrovertibly incorrect assertions. And I'd like to start by straightening some of those out. (you left out Majestic as a continuing supporter 🙂 ) Um...MilViz/Bl…

After taking a break from the hobby for a few years I finally found the space to move one step up from the generic 3 screen setup to a simple home cockpit framework with a dedicated desk and box. The last few months I’ve experimented with various setups and sims to get to where I am now. The last straw was the Costco sale of these 3 Chinese 55” TVs which finally allow me to have a 210 degree field of view with which it’s possible to fly proper patterns around the local airport. After disappointment with P3D V5 with missing and misplaced airport buildings, incompatible add-ons and CTDs I went back to P3D 4.5. It might not look the prettiest and may be a few frame…

My text editor had a crash and it saved an aircraft.cfg file for FSP 777W without any data. Is there a way to rebuild the file based on textures present in the folder? There is a utility to rebuild scenery.cfg based on scenery folders, - maybe something like that?

Hi, After the unexpected success of my KDAL scenery for P3D, I feel the itch to crank out another one before I transition to the dark side. Keep in mind that it took me 5 months to finish KDAL because of the large amount of buildings within the perimeter, so I try to get them out as quickly as I can. So......what do you guys need and what is important to you within the scenery product? Cheers! David

A warm welcome to you all, I would like to ask for advice on which scenery for cairo HECA will work under P3D 45. I found two on simmarket: from ARMI PROJECT and from SDG. The first one is under FSX and I could not find information if it will work under P3d V4 and the one from SDG although it is visible in the shop you can not buy it - here is information that it works under P3D V4. I have also been to the SDG website, but no current activity is visible there. Buying requires activation, but I'm a bit afraid to buy this scenery without knowing if the developer is still active. Could you guys recommend something. Regards Grzegorz

One for the real world airliner pilots.... I have the engine sound set to 50% in P3Dv4.5HF2 so that I can hear them. However, I have no idea how loud (or quiet) they are supposed to sound from the cockpit. When I watch footage of airliner landings or departures on YouTube, the sound of the engines seems rather faint (including when the thrust reversers are engaged). Is this just a consequence of the recording, or are they really not that easy to hear from the cockpit?

https://secure.simmarket.com/glowingheat-lockheed-sr-71a-blackbird-fsx-p3d.phtml There is an update offer if you purchased the previous version of the SR-71 or the A-12 Cygnus from SimMarket. "This aircraft was designed primarily with P3D V5.3 in mind and therefore the FSX and P3D V4.5 versions are limited by these platforms nuances. Features: Authentic flight model based around the SR-71 pilots manual Working TEB counters - 16 shots of TEB providing only 16 uses of afterburner per engine - don’t waste them or its a long slow flight home! (This requires XMLtools for your sim version). Drooping Elevons on Hydraulic pressure lo…

A week ago I had a failing graphic card (it was overheating) and instead of getting it fixed I decided to upgrade the whole computer. My old graphic card was a GTX 1080, I now have a RTX 3080! I also added more RAM (I now have 32 GB of RAM). I also switched to Windows 11. The only bad thing is I have to start over and reinstall P3D 🙁. The thought of having to reinstall all of my scenery is very overwhelming. It's going to take me a while to get back to where I was prior to the upgrade.

Hi Everyone, i have a weird problem. I have gone back to flying my Majestic Dash 8-400 and the rudder trim is being commanded hard over to the right. I have checked my Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo controls and have almost everything cleared out in the profiles so doubt the problem lies here. I think some years ago i may have had a similar issue but cant find what is causing it. Any suggestions? Happy new year to all.

hi guys, been a while. Back to sim. Had to sell my desktop so i have a laptop now. My specs will not run p3d as fast, but just looking for some p3d tweaks. I7 9750H @ 2.8GHZ (Big drop from my i5 8600K @ 5ghz haha), i will reapply thermal paste and try and get it up to 3.5GHZ without overheating (it does turbo upto 4 ish ghz) RTX 2060 16GB RAM Now this is weird,on my desktop(60hz monitor) 30fps was a blurry mess, laggy visuals when panning etc BUT on this laptop its very clear, smooth, feels like what "60fps" would have been on my desktop... (i have now a 120Hz monitor), but basically the sim is smooth at 30fps. So my main tweaks im looking for is …

I have noticed that the shadow of my PMDG plane appears to be incomplete. It looks like only the shadow of the parts that are shown on the scenario screen before the full model image is displayed. Is there a way to correct this, or remove the shadow completely without affecting the shadows cast in the VC? The external shadow looks daft in this condition.

As the title suggests, I had an issue with my heavily invested Prepar3d v5 which needed more than a quick fix...more installations etc so have decided to retire it to the backbenches and uninstall it. I was to be fair not spending much time on it, i won't say where I was, let you guess lol.. IF v6 does appear then I will of course have a serious look..

Hi, I recently purchased this aircraft after years being on the fence about it, knowing it was a product missing some features and that it was no longer being developed. One thing I knew about was the lack of winds aloft import, even though this is a pretty critical feature for a long haul aircraft. I actually spent the time to manually enter the winds aloft (at 4 flight levels) for one of my flights, but I'm not sure I saw any difference in the landing fuel prediction. Can anyone confirm that manually entering winds aloft works? Thanks, Daniel

After a problem caused by PC maintenance software, which forced me to uninstall my simulator and its add-ons, I have not been able to reinstall the program FS2CREW - ULTIMATE GROUND CREW X - FSX P3D, because at the end of the process it appears the news, which I attach, of an error that prevents completion. I use Windows 10- 64 and P3D5, and I appreciate any help you can give me. https://imgur.com/ytTGRRcThank you very muchGood morning good luck

Hello. Recently when attempting to start Prepar3D I get an error message saying, "You do Not have the required permissions to create a backup copy of scenery.cfg." I have administrator privileges and am running P3D as an administrator. I consulted Prepar3D's forum without result. I attempted a repair of Prepar3D but it still gives me this message. Any assistance is appreciated. Regards, David

Is there a way to stop the TerraFlora Hard Winter trees being displayed in P3Dv4.5HF2? I have noticed white (snow covered) conifers in parts of ORBx TrueEarth Great Britain North, and they look wrong when the surrounding landscape does not have any snow at all!!
