Does anyone here have the Scotflight Almond Valley Viaduct model for P3D that was released a few years ago? This was offered as a separate download on the Scotflight forum, but the link no longer appears to work. This is the railway viaduct that is located short of the runway 06 threshold at Edinburgh airport.

I'm getting ready to reformat and rebuild my computer. I'll be adding an RTX 3090 at 2 x 2 TB m.2 NVME hard drives. So while not completely new, it's going to count as a new computer. My P3D install is about 350 GB and I have about 100 add-on files, plus a bunch of Orbx stuff. Unfortunately a decent amount of this install dates back to before Orbx was using an outside installation folder, and a lot of the other add-ons are hit or miss. So any advice on making this as smooth as possible? I suspect I'm going to be reinstalling a lot the hard way, but figured it can't hurt to check. And any advice on moving controller configurations? About a year ago, I read something on this forum regarding ORBX VECTOR. It seems that there were many who said it is not really necessary and it impacted their framerate excessively, and caused pauses and stutters when flying. SO, I removed it. I have been very happy with P3d ever since. Flights are smooth, relatively stutter free and everything works great. My question is this: What am I missing? I recently noticed a geographically familiar airport to me was missing so much real detail, and the topography around looked really weird, with sinkholes and elevations that do not exist in real life. So, is anyone aware if this works in V5. Really missing the 747. I, however, have made a decision to use my $99 NGu credit with PMDG in MSFS and then part ways with them. Not that their product isn't amazing but rather I find the CEO, staff and Minions to be condescending and they have some serious issues with promises not delivered and poor workflow management. Hi All. I Have been suffering with this problem for some time now. Sometimes P3d V5.3 CTD's and sometimes my hole rig shuts down! I've tried to follow fixes online but nothing seems to work. Hi to all, I have problem with G1000 on VERTX DA62. When i reach waypoint from flightplan map loading never end until go DCT to next wp then map load , but i must go DCT to next wp on every next wp in flightplan or have that map loading bug. Is it possible to convert MSFS2020 scenery to P3D V5? If so, what would be the procedures? I see a lot of converting the other way but not from MS2020 to P34DV5.......

Just curious if anyone has tried it and/or if it has any impact with the 4 series cards from Nvidia. While I am excited for the gains it will bring in the other platform I am also still regularly in P3D in the 777/787 so also wondering if it will help P3D. If not, anyone have any general feedback with the 4090 in P3D in general? I know a few others have them so just curious. Hi all, Just started getting some a freezing issue on the last two flights over Japan. The only two recent updates I've performed are GSX and the Navigraph database/simlink. The error message is "Prepar3D exe is not responding" How do I begin searching for the culprit? Is there an error log somewhere I should check? Using P3Dv5.3 Thanks, Daniel

I'm playing around with P3Dv5 at the moment and the Volumetric Clouds. I'd like them, better than the REX 2D Models. But I'm struggling with the AS settings. They have introduced an option for PREVENT ASP3D EA VOLUMETRIC CLOUD CONTROL and an option for ENABLE DETAILED EA CLOUDS. The only thing I'll read here is that it seems everybody is using Active Sky or Rex Clouds and not the volumetric ones. Maybe anyone has the perfect idea or setting? Regards Urmel

Hi. So basically let's say I have TSS A320 IAE sound package. I want another flap sound. I always get the substitute WAV file I need, I either rename it or amend the sound.cfg file. But there are some files, that P3D just does not reproduce. I took the flap sound from a freeware package, but the sim just doesn't read it, it's quite. The volume is set ok in sound.cfg. Any ideas?

Hi there, In the P3D.cfg there is a new section added with 5.3, However when it is there i seem to have horrible stuttering when airborne ( FSLabs ) The entry is: [JOBSCHEDULER] P3DCoreAffinityMask=xxxx MainThreadScheduler=x RenderThreadScheduler=x FrameWorkerThreadScheduler=x I don't get any of these issues if i move this section. I assume its been added to help with things. Does anyone have any idea why i get the stuttering when its in the cfg file.

I have been installing a couple of bargain finds lately and this bit of a programme called AFLT starts now every I start P3D. Googling leads me to FSdeveloper and the application has buttons to connect and disconnect. Any idea what this is all about?

This morning I was flying the Xtreme Prototypes Lear 25 from Prague to Berlin. I use ChasePlane and have various views configured which include two from the passenger seats just forward of the wings looking left and right. Whilst the pilot and other cockpit views easily maintained 30fps that dropped to 15 when viewing those two pax views. That was in full-screen mode. Switching to Windowed and the problem disappeared and 30fps was constant. I've been flying this plane for ages and this was a new problem. What had changed to cause it? I enjoy making IAN approaches in the PMDG 737NGX when an ILS option is not available (generally because they are easy). However, I have noticed that the glide path in almost all of them is slightly offset from the runway centreline. Is there a reason for this?

Helloooo all. Having used the FSL320 for over 2 years, I've always been satisfied. This recent month I've noticed a severe drop in FPS when using (only) FSlabs 320. I've tried to reinstall it, but once i try uninstalling it i recieve an error message, Runtime error (at 305:223): Could not cal proc. Anyone who knows how to fix this? Wilhelm PRytz
